Worked on my 2013 LTZ Tahoe. It took less than five minuets. I felt a snap when I put it on the cable linkage using the pliers and another snap when it went on the lever by just pushing it on. Also, I did NOT use the hot water technique because of getting two in the package. Good Luck
Got part number 14104 for a 2012 yukon xl. Will not stay on the linkage arm pin. Tried both bushing in kit, did the warm water trick. Easily pops back off. Looking at amazon reviews, it really looks like a junk product
It worked easily on my 2013 Tahoe. It made a snapping feel when it went into the linkage and I felt another snap when I pushed it on to the linkage leaver.
2011 silverado with 6 speed trans I used 14104 on the lower cable and it keeps falling off like it's not the right one but it said it fit when I bought it from the autozone I work at
Hi Alex, if the bushing is snapped in and that is staying but the bushing wont stay on the end of the rod, then you would want to warranty out the bushing.
Other than drilling a hole and using a cotter pin to hold it on, how has everyone else stopped the cable from popping off of the shift linkage? Pics of you got em please...
Same problem. Piece of junk part. Stupid ass GM could have made the selector arm threaded in order to thread a bolt on and then there wouldn’t be a cheat piece of plastic doomed to failure. But in typical gym fashion they don’t care
My new part pops off too. So annoying. My wife has had to call me 3 times away from work because the new part pops off. The inside of the new pushing should have a bump to clip into place with the transmission shifter

07 Yukon Denali. These are so trash. Not only are they damn near impossible to get the bushing into the flange but the bushing does NOT stay on the pin. It pops off multiple times every single day. Yesterday in the middle of the when while I was backing out of my girl driveway. Booty pipe part
Do yourself a favor take your shift arm off drill out the the shift pin on the shift arm and just bolt it with a lock nut probably have to grind the head of the bolt too. It will last
Hi Juan, unfortunately Dorman does not make the gear selector cable bushings for that year escape. I will let our product team know of your new product idea. Thank you!

Hi Carlos! The video only shows putting the bushing into the cable end, unfortunately it never shows at the end using the slip joint pliers to install the cable end onto the linkage as Nick describes.
I don’t mean to complain but damn I’m frustrated. Where’s the video for part # 14041?? How come whenever you’re looking for a specific video for specific part you get 7,000 videos on something else ?? Part 14104 and 14041 are 2 totally different parts… why not make a video for the corresponding part #..
I’ve waited a week for your 14110 . No instructions in the package and no instructions online. Maybe your help line would not get so many calls if you would put some fucking instructions up!
I followed all directions, the piece worked for one day, and now continuously pops back off. It takes almost no effort to slide the cable and bushing back onto the shift arm on the transmission. Why is this bushing so loose..???
I haven't tried it yet. My hole is egg-shaped. I think it should be round. I'm thinking , if it's not a round hole. It may pop off. What shape is your hole? 😊
Thanks, the product worked so far. BUT, Please don't make it sound like it is easy to install this product from underneath the vehicle. IT IS NOT. IT IS A B****! Just tell the truth that you need patience and alot of it. GH
Please visit your local parts store or online retailer to locate this part. We believe it may be Part # 14104 but they will need to confirm which part number you will need to your exact vehicle before purchasing.

On my '14 Silverado the part where the bushings go is a lot wider than the one in the vids. Replacrment bushings aren't deep enough to work.

Hi JR, is the bushing not staying on the pin of the linkage, or is it coming out of the cable end?
