      Sprinters seem to be a lot more secretive on that kind of thing. We can guess, though! I think 47/48 pace so 29 high and then 11-12 for the 100s.

    • @-vll-
      @-vll- Рік тому +3

      When you getting something most don’t give you can’t ask for too much. It’s getting more common now for the elite sprinter to start showing workouts. As far as times they’re hitting more than 90% of the time they won’t show it. Because it takes away from the anticipation of what they’re going to run at the upcoming meet. As well as a psychological competition with their opponents.

    • @coldclaws2479
      @coldclaws2479 Рік тому

      bro, just do them at a fast as possible pace that you can maintain for the entire workout. these are supposed to make you tired.

    Matt, I've been loving the content you've been putting out but something about this particular session really inspires, and that's the fact that you and your coach were so real during the workouts. I noticed that even though you didn't hit the times perfectly every time, you pushed hard with great form each rep. This really inspres me as I am still in my early season indoor training and there are times when my performance suffers a bit because I know I have more reps to run. That mentality of mine resulted in a poor 400 race in my fist indoor meet. However, this video and your consistent executions motivates me for the next meet.
    All the best with your season man. Stay healthy and stay strong. God bless!

    low key funny video. Its interesting too me to see sprinters struggling with lactic. Distance runners got slow twitch fibers that use lactate as fuel and reconstitute it pretty quickly.

    Watched you from TX to now. Raw speedster as the football team learned...lolol. I'm a former sprinter. You seem to be running more upright. Lean into the early meters longer, so your momentum carries you into the upright. Watch Christian Coleman. I hope you do well as a pro. You'll have to be 9.9s and 8s in the 100 and 19s in the 200 to compete for an Olympic berth as a pro. I am an old UGA grad....FYI. I will continue to follow you. Best sprinter UGA ever! Keep it up.

    You gotta work on the mental game Matt. You gotta get your mind in a place where it's not thinking, worrying or interfering with your mechanics and energy when you run in competition. You gotta get to that point where you are just running free and easy and your mind is calm.

    Why do you think your college coaches havent been able to improve your 100m time? No one peaks in high school so I dont understand why your coaches havent made you faster? I want to make it very clear I am not taking a shot at you. You ran the fastest time in the country in high school, you are a phenom. How did your coaches take someone like you and not improve your time? It seems impossible to me. My guess is they overtrained you on the track, then improperly trained you in the weight room, ran you in too many events, and for some reason thought you werent right for the 100m which is ridiculous. But I want to hear it from you if you dont mind. Also, if you havent read The Speed Trap you really really should.
