When you getting something most don’t give you can’t ask for too much. It’s getting more common now for the elite sprinter to start showing workouts. As far as times they’re hitting more than 90% of the time they won’t show it. Because it takes away from the anticipation of what they’re going to run at the upcoming meet. As well as a psychological competition with their opponents.
No. The followers need to see this (Matt get tired and fall down to rest) coach! Some of us are going through this also and feeling the same way as we try to get back in shape. Seedless oil is the way to go Matt. Good job.
Matt, I've been loving the content you've been putting out but something about this particular session really inspires, and that's the fact that you and your coach were so real during the workouts. I noticed that even though you didn't hit the times perfectly every time, you pushed hard with great form each rep. This really inspres me as I am still in my early season indoor training and there are times when my performance suffers a bit because I know I have more reps to run. That mentality of mine resulted in a poor 400 race in my fist indoor meet. However, this video and your consistent executions motivates me for the next meet. All the best with your season man. Stay healthy and stay strong. God bless!
Good to see the channel up Matt, through you tube i have followed your career through high school and varsity. Your an amazing runner who has probabl had more of a workload than any othe active sprinter. I really wish you the best with what you have ahead i know one dayyoy will have olympic gold in whatever distance you settle on. All the best.
I am following you. I am often afraid of overdoing my training. Every training day is different and sometimes I cut training short because of the risk of injury. Here I see that you do your training to the end, regardless of how tired you are. 👍
low key funny video. Its interesting too me to see sprinters struggling with lactic. Distance runners got slow twitch fibers that use lactate as fuel and reconstitute it pretty quickly.
Stick with it Matt! It IS harder to train in the cold, BUT, it'll make you stronger come warmer conditions . Your breathing will be better too come warmer conditions
Watched you from TX to now. Raw speedster as the football team learned...lolol. I'm a former sprinter. You seem to be running more upright. Lean into the early meters longer, so your momentum carries you into the upright. Watch Christian Coleman. I hope you do well as a pro. You'll have to be 9.9s and 8s in the 100 and 19s in the 200 to compete for an Olympic berth as a pro. I am an old UGA grad....FYI. I will continue to follow you. Best sprinter UGA ever! Keep it up.
Matteo, vieni a fare un breve stage a Venezia(Italia)! Correggiamo l'esecuzione di alcuni esercizi che vedo fare e introduciamo le corse ritmiche (rapide e ampie) che mancano per un vero salto di qualità tecnico.
when i train with spike shoes my legs hurt like hell but soft shoes feel weird and unstable. Can you suggest a non spike running shoe for explosive workouts?
Where's the affiliate link to those pants you're running in? Always hard to find a good pair of joggers that actually keep you warm AND are able to sprint in.
You're pretty strong Matthew with those weight workouts 350lbs or better especially those legs and upper Body you have excellent power can you squat 405lbs to 500 lbs? How much do you Bench Press?
Yo Matthew I see that you did Tuesday and Thursday workouts what do you Wednesday do you rest or do something else I’m curious for my own training regimen
. When I post a clip of myself sprinting in slow motion, everyone tells me that I am waiting for the ground to come to me instead of striking the ground. How do I solve this problem? I mean what exactly do I want to do to solve this problem? Does it affect the maximum speed?!
You gotta work on the mental game Matt. You gotta get your mind in a place where it's not thinking, worrying or interfering with your mechanics and energy when you run in competition. You gotta get to that point where you are just running free and easy and your mind is calm.
WHY isn't his coach there? I see that 400/800 specialist Will Sumner showed up at 4:51 Matt should have scheduled his workout to overlap with Sumner's so he would have someone to run with. He needs to be training with 400 hurdlers, and with guys like Sumner. #IronSharpensIron
Why do you think your college coaches havent been able to improve your 100m time? No one peaks in high school so I dont understand why your coaches havent made you faster? I want to make it very clear I am not taking a shot at you. You ran the fastest time in the country in high school, you are a phenom. How did your coaches take someone like you and not improve your time? It seems impossible to me. My guess is they overtrained you on the track, then improperly trained you in the weight room, ran you in too many events, and for some reason thought you werent right for the 100m which is ridiculous. But I want to hear it from you if you dont mind. Also, if you havent read The Speed Trap you really really should.
When I ran it was on a sender track and it was yards not meters and I wasn’t as good as him but I smoked drank wine and made a bong out of a roll of toilet paper
Bench press is useless for a track athlete. Why is that everyone’s go to lift for upper body? It has ZERO carry over to EVERY athlete outside of Football lineman.
CJ had you goin through it 🤣 That man damn near killed me with those workouts in college, I feel you my brotha.
heeeeey jimmy, how are you?
Forgot you ran track😭
Jumped
Jesus loves you and wants a relationship with you. He wants you to live for him. If you don't already, you should read the Bible ✝️❤️
what does this have to do with track @@Cmhrjkyg
Love the vlog and would love it even more if you showed us the times you are hitting in these workouts.
Agreed, or even just the goal paces for the workout
Sprinters seem to be a lot more secretive on that kind of thing. We can guess, though! I think 47/48 pace so 29 high and then 11-12 for the 100s.

bro, just do them at a fast as possible pace that you can maintain for the entire workout. these are supposed to make you tired.
@@coldclaws2479 i dont think he meant so he can run those same paces, its just to get perspective on the times Matt is doing in training
let's go Matthew putting in the work!!
No. The followers need to see this (Matt get tired and fall down to rest) coach! Some of us are going through this also and feeling the same way as we try to get back in shape. Seedless oil is the way to go Matt. Good job.
It’s really relaxing just watching you run 😎 thanks for sharing this workout
Sick work man. I got a meet coming soon and your content is very informative. Good luck training!
Appreciate it, good luck!

good to see the pro putting in that work
I would love to see matt comment on tony holler “feed the cats” track principles or vice versa. Enjoying the content
Would love to see some times edited in for the reps! Solid stuff, dude.

Matt, you're a beast.

Let’s go Matthew 😤 you need to run the 400 that’s your best distance I think you can go 43.8 this season
We will be watching on tv that 300m at Clemson this weekend. Got get it. Unfortunately it’s too far from Texas to travel.
I like your content.
the goat
can you show us your warm up routine?

bro... boling knows what hes doing, hes got a pro coach and hes a pro sprinter
Gotta give advice to the athlete who has had coaches understand what works best for him.
What event(s) are you training for? No jumping?
Can you do a video on your weights workout?
“It was yum” 💀
Love the work, definitely would love to see more vlogs about your training routine. Im in hs, and wanna put into my training.
Brutal workouts! How much rest between sets?
does anyone know what nike trainers he's wearing ??

Do you like bowling, Matt?
With these workouts what percentage or time were you putting these in?
Hope he gets some sponsors soon.
Nice video! It would be great if u share the time from each rep :)
400m at trials? Another great video mate
Wednesday was rest?
Good to hear no seed oils. Coconut oil for me!
Is the plan to go all in on the 400m @Olympic Trials? No 200m or LJ?
You should edit in the times/pace afterwards, Matthew
when i train with spike shoes my legs hurt like hell but soft shoes feel weird and unstable. Can you suggest a non spike running shoe for explosive workouts?
💪
What’s the rest between the reps and the sets ? Please answer
💛💪🏾
Just curious What's the recovery time in between sets for the broken 350s ?
good luck in 24- 400 your best shot.
That boiii tired☠️😭

How many seconds is the 250m time?

Why Mat lowkey look like them Greek warrior statues lol
his best event would be the 400, i dont see him getting past 10.25- 10.3 range in the 100
WHY isn't his coach there? I see that 400/800 specialist Will Sumner showed up at 4:51 Matt should have scheduled his workout to overlap with Sumner's so he would have someone to run with. He needs to be training with 400 hurdlers, and with guys like Sumner. #IronSharpensIron

Is he still in college?
He has the school record in the 100 at Georgia and has been killing the conference in the 200 bro what
Would love to see times you hit
400m training 👀👀
I hope this amount of lactate volume is temporary, as this is definitely an injury/illness magnet and speed killer.
Socks or no socks?
All the workout on the track is resistence? 💀💀💀
So man was at my school and i aint know nice
When I ran it was on a sender track and it was yards not meters and I wasn’t as good as him but I smoked drank wine and made a bong out of a roll of toilet paper
It is hard to find cinder tracks nowadays.
Mid d matt in the making
U need more strength u have speed 😂
Bench press is useless for a track athlete. Why is that everyone’s go to lift for upper body? It has ZERO carry over to EVERY athlete outside of Football lineman.
imagine how much faster you could run if you took a buncha steroids
