Very very clear and comprehensive and bio mechanically smart Noah!!!! Many thanks for this video which I can learn and also show my young kids who are starting out on track. 🙏🙏🙏🙏 good luck to yr new season. Will be rooting for ya!!!!
Thank you so much! Very comprehensive breakdown of all the different steps and details. Really appreciate the work you do in sharing your world-class experience with the community!
I m 15 and I ran the 100m and omg let me tell you my coach didn't let us practice on the blocks and when I went to run I literally almost landed face flat on the track 😑, this really helps thank you so much, I'm really trying to improve my sprinting te techniques
It's a very good look from the 200m boos noah lyles. To share tips whit young athletes how to get faster. Because some do needs these tips and am sure they will put it in to practices . like my son.👍👍
Phenomenal to see the process of the best. I would love to see a video of you analysing your own starts like you’d do in a training session, explained on video. Like actually doing a start, noticing internal performance feedback (“I felt like I wasn’t leaning enough into the first stride” for example) and hearing you coach yourself. I think it will add so much to our process of what to look for. And props for your mental attitude - your positive self-talk is half the reason I keep showing up in this channel, to get a slice of it! 🙌
Man i love your stuff. Just this past year i started really working out and paying attention to what I'm doing. In a few years i wanna be the fastest person in highschool in my state and I'm on track for it. Love how u still show people how to get faster!
Thank you Noah. Great video. My only suggestion would be to add a full speed start as a demonstration in slow motion and break down the angles. My son is a very good HS sprinter but with limited coaching resources, we have learned a ton from your videos. Congrats and thank you.
Awesome video. A sign of someone who cares about their sport by making the time to help others. Thank you so much, your videos have really helped my son in starting his athletics journey.
This was helpful. I'm 71 and entered my county's senior games and signed up for the 100m, 400m, and 1500m. I'm a distance road runner and never ran track. I've never used a starting block. Since I have no way to practice I probably won't use the block.
Noahs legs/limbs are soo gifted/built for sprinting. Rail thin and long with all the muscles high in the hip region. If i had those anatomical genetics, a sub 20s 200 would be no problem. ok that's a bit exaggerated but i really think it's such a critical component of sprinting fast and efficient.
My little daughter is running U18 in track and fileds in Greece. Hopefully your advices will help her to improve herself. God bless you...Have fun and take care
Man, you are the ONE we have been waiting for. Your accomplishments, performances showmanship, and charitable heart are a blessing. Don't stop...Mahalo!
Q: are there rules that state the toes have to be touching the track while in the blocks? Also, will the steps back to the blocks vary due to the size of the athlete? Ive never been taught the proper way to get out of the blocks but had really good closing speed. Thoughts HMF
Noah - I coach H.S. Sprinters and Football D Skills. That said we are really just starting to build our Track/ Speed Program. Your content is extremely helpful. Your straight-forward, clear manner are excellent. @@noahlyles18
