@slimjakey you have no idea what you're talking about. Most sub 45 guys are in sub 1:50 or at the very worst 1:55 lol. Jeremy wariner Ran a 1:53 when he was at his absolute worst. Saying 2:09 when youre out of shape is just stupid lol.

@@slimjakey bolt is a completely different sprinter than Boling. The last decade of his career bolt didn't touch anything over 200m not even relays. And boling is pretty much only a 400m guy now

Are you planning on staying at 400m or were you devoting a season to the 400m with intentions of dropping back down to the 100m, this upcoming season? That'd be quite clever. I think you have unfinished business in the open 100m. In optimal conditions, I think you can crack 9.88 this upcoming season.

Just a word to the wise - don't let anything get in the way of your speed-work. I know everyone's got opinions, you got to figure it out yourself. But running a 15 min cool down is going to detrain your fast twitch, walking around the city, as fun as that may be is tiring your legs out for the next day - taking the edge off your explosiveness. You need every bit of that explosiveness. You profile as a sub 44 guy, I know there are multiple ways to get there, but just be kind to your fast twitch - that's all. Love your stuff! Keep up the good work!

I agree, and I usually advocate for longer efforts for 400 athletes. A 15 minute jog this late in the season doesn't seem ideal but who knows what his coaches are doing
