Damn I just noticed that when Viserys was telling the first part of the story, he wouldn't call King Viserys by his name because he didnt respect him and didn't want to reveal that he had the same name

It's very entertaining listening to what accents the various actors assume when they play a character reciting a particular bit of script in these things
I very much enjoy the performance and the voice of Michael McElhatton, who played Roose Bolton.
It is very amusing to hear what sort of accent he puts on.for his piece.
In the episodes of the programme, a lot of the people who played Northerners and Wildlings spoke in roughly Northern British accents. But here, people are just reading off a few lines, and not doing any dialogue. So it all gets a bit more...idiosyncratic.
McElhatton uses a sort of generalized Britishy accent, not at ALL Northern and in some cases not really British. It sounds great. He has a lovely voice.
Alliser Thorne is played, and spoken in these things, with a generalized Northern British accent. But he's played by Welshmen, Owen Teale. And Thorne, in the novels, does NOT come from the North, but the Crown Lands. So he shouldn't be speaking with a Northern accent at all.
McElhatton is Irish. Though I don't know where from in Ireland, so what regional or class accent he might have. If he indeed he has one at all. I'm told there's no true Irish equivalent to the UK's Received Pronunciation. Some say the closest might be a middle class south Dublin one - but that appears to be relatively recent, and hugely hated. Others say that the voice that Newscasters use would be the nearest equivalent.
I love the way that a country with such a small population has such a wonderful array of accents. The UK does too, but it has a much more size-y population.

Yes, the actors voice these. They're lovely if you want to know the context of the show but you don't want to read over 150 hours of writing

This was really good however Lucerys doesn’t have blonde hair, but dark brown like House Strong.
This was made long before house of the dragon was even thought of.

House Strong doesn’t have brown hair, the only two members of House Strong with their hair described are Harwyn, who has black hair, and Alys who is blonde.
@LittleHammer_ This was made before fire and blood was written. It was based on a much older version of the story presented in the princess and the queen. Rhaenys also has jet black hair.

I dislike Warner Bros/ HBO's approach to this story. I really enjoy the fact that the world that GRRM built has actual history in it, and like actual history its telling is often distorted, not entirely accurate, and left to interpretation. This new approach of packaging every single story ever told in that world to sell, sell, sell takes so much of the mystique and magic out of it. Hot D ruins what I had in my head.

@@magicalpipthegreat7885 I don't plan to but that's not my real concern here, is it? The commodification of every significant event to milk that world dry of all value, thus lessening said value, is my main issue here. It's what happened to several franchises; Aliens, Star Wars, Terminator, ect.
More care and consideration should be taken in deciding what stories get told and what stories are better left untold in excruciating detail for a short term bump to please the investors.

They know this was on the blu-ray & UA-cam , but still made a show out of this when almost every fan of G.O.T KNOWS THIS STORY ... It's a good show , but they should've done something different..
