Michael Sieberhagen maybe the "Queen Of Thorns" names someone. She does have an alliance with Dorne, Varys and Dany. She's cunning and pragmatic, she's got to know Cersei has it out for her, she'll want to deliver one last kick in head . Even from the grave. So maybe she appointments someone.
just the imagination and planning and understanding of history and literature to put this together is amazing. even more amazing to think it came from one mind.
The animation is so good. The script the actors read are actually really good too. And I thunk this seasons lore has been the best and most interesting yet
I mean....George R.R Martin must be one of the most brilliant people in the world, getting all of those Lores and histories just from his imagination! what a brilliant man!
I can listen to the Blackfish narrating Finnegans wake: riverrun, past Eve and Adam's, from swerve of shore to bend. Love GRRM and all his references...
Euron was the most dangerous psychopath in the show. Joffrey was vicious but cowardly and short-tempered. Ramsay was cunning but not charming or capable of diplomacy only driven by an impulsive sadism. Euron had a gift for long term manipulation, was a savage fighter, a brilliant strategist, feared by his own men and can play the long game to get what he wants
51:00 I thought Young Ned said "not a stag of Winterfell"... which would make me cry. Upon a second listening I notice he says "STARK of Winterfell". Thank God for rewind...
First Men King Robar II Royce claimed Lady Forlorn after slaying Qyle Corbray, the Andal King of the Fingers. Robar wielded this Lady Forlorn during the Battle of the Seven Stars, using it to kill Torgold Tollett and a decoy dressed as Ser Artys Arryn. The Corbrays claim that Ser Jaime Corbray slew Robar in the battle, allowing them to reclaim the original Lady Forlorn. At the time of the First Blackfyre Rebellion, Lady Forlorn was wielded by Ser Gwayne Corbray of the Kingsguard. During the Battle of the Redgrass Field Gwayne fought Daemon Blackfyre, who wielded the Valyrian sword Blackfyre. Eventually Daemon defeated his enemy. An unnamed Lord Corbray wielded Lady Forlorn during the Battle of the Trident in 283 AC. When Lord Corbray was wounded, his younger son, Lyn, took up the sword and killed the man who had wounded his father. Lyn then led the charge against the Dornishmen and killed Prince Lewyn Martell of the Kingsguard. Because of this feat the sword was left to Lyn instead of the elder Lyonel Corbray when their lord father died.
Iadad so, this sword is abit of a mystery, because house Royce had a sword later on that they lost in the dance, but house cobray (the original owners) have a sword with the same name, so either they reclaimed it or got a new one
They could of if they at least halved the sex scenes and random nude scenes and focused more on the story. Was the "Asha/Yara is a lesbian"story important? How about Samwell stealing Heartsbane?
Yes, they resorted to dark magic in desperation in their war against the First Men. But the White Walkers broke free of their control and became an enemy to the living
I guess all the people that ask "Is that Petyr Baelish narrating??!?" A: can't read, B: have never watched Lore and History videos, C: commented within the first 2 minutes of watching
To be a great actor is to be a great narrator. You must be able to tell the story, or even a portion of the story to the audience. This is the "trick" of how you fill in the blanks and details that a book is very full of, yet fit it into a TV series or a movie. Shakespeare did this a lot with his plays, although he'd drown his audience in words. Every actor/actress should enjoy a good storytelling, parents love telling stories to their kids...
Im watching GOT again ,for the second time ,this year😂, and I decided to watch again this year after finding these season lores, its great to listen to these lores then get stuck into that season.just another way of me attempting to keep the best tale ever fresh and enjoyable, until I get to the second half of season 7 up to the disappointing end.I still think its better than any other series ever written, vikings, amd the last kingdom are good too,but not GOT good.thank you George RR Martin.
It appears that the Ironborn are going to struggle in a world to come. They'll have to become traders, since they got no fertile land, or just move to other places, or just extinct. If Euron joins Cersei - that's the shortest way to the extinction.
And these broken and bare rocks could muster the teleport-fleet of Euron? 300 years of hardship, three major wars lost in the last 25 years. The best men dead or with Yara...and yet they crushed the fleet of the Reach, Dorne and Yara with ease...bullshit.
That's strange to use the younger voice of Ned Stark to narrate the House Dayne segment. They typically use the voices of those still alive in the seasons these segments correspond to and this is like they've awakened Ned's ghost.
this is my fix before season 7... man the next season is so hyped up to be action filled, sucks we have to wait at least till (HOPEFULLY) end of may, but since we don't have a new teaser for almost 3 months looks like its going to be in June....aaaaaaahhhh i can't waiiiiiiiiiiiiiit
There is so much thinly veiled history in each word said in these. I love the lore that goes along with these books. This series (the books, love the show too tho!) Truly is a masterpiece. I hope that either the end of the book series answers the many many questions we have or that GRRM answers them after they're all published. I've never heard of a series anywhere near this intricate, or this fascinating. This sh is the Sistene Chapel of books.
man I just love this story telling its just as good as the show . i don't want to sound like a moron because i don't know if there is one but i think a book should be made of all these story's.. but not just any book one with old English illustrations like the ones you find in very old religious text.. making the book look authentic like if at one point in history these story's really happen lol man that would be something id buy a book like that would keep me busy for a very long time .. might even turn me on to real history lol
patman0250 Kindly forgive me for the unsolicited correction, but this is a pet peeve of mine. The plural of story is stories, not story's. The apostrophe between the Y and S in story's indicates either contraction ("This story's great!" Story + is), or is used to indicate a possessive ("This story's characters are unbelievable." The characters of this story.) My sincerest apologies if I have offended you. Either way, feel free to flag this comment as spam.

Glad all that awesome shit about the Blackfish successfully keeping the Frey from Riverrun happened in the show! Lets hope he keeps it forever!
he dies horribly... Off camera...
11MD I'm sick of the off-screen deaths (i.e. Stannis)
just the imagination and planning and understanding of history and literature to put this together is amazing. even more amazing to think it came from one mind.
with inspiration from other minds
So this does confirm that yes, Arthur used Dawn in the show.
Why yes of course, im fairly certain you can see the emblem in the pommel in the show.
Hershiser is anó̱teros Yes you can, but most people expected it to be blatantly obvious and I guess a bit more expressive of its' background.
LegionaryWithAGladius if that was meant to be Dawn, then they failed horrendously. Dawn is supposed to be pale-white and have a slight glow.
A little sun emoji...in an ancestral sword
LegionaryWithAGladius I know I'm a bit late, but wasn't Dawn a greatsword in the books?
The animation is so good. The script the actors read are actually really good too. And I thunk this seasons lore has been the best and most interesting yet
These first 5min of the background story def deserves a season or two, i'd actually donate money to see this become a show :) GOT
ReCoil they might make a game of thrones prequel
rasheed sobo I'd approve :D
People have been talking about making a series where each season depicts a time and conflict in Westeros.
Is the voice of "Peter Baylish", known as "Little Finger"? I sure do love his voice in this narration
Star Nguyen Yup.
I mean....George R.R Martin must be one of the most brilliant people in the world, getting all of those Lores and histories just from his imagination! what a brilliant man!
Similar to the large world with a rich history that John RR Tolkien created.
@@saljpal3our gens Tolkien
not really from his imagination lol. It's all inspired by the previous lores and tales written by the geniuses before him
Jorah Mormont has a great documentary voice
Samwell's story as a boy was quite sad
I can listen to the Blackfish narrating Finnegans wake: riverrun, past Eve and Adam's, from swerve of shore to bend. Love GRRM and all his references...
Clive Rusell ( Blackfish) would be a great narrator for audio books or Planet earth. I could listen to him forever
God I love the Blackfish. Best dude in all of Westeros.
TV Euron needs to be more evil... a LOT more evil...
Daron M. Its such a shame, they were genuinely badass in the books and utterly cringeworthy on the show.
Daron M. Thanks D&D
Need to add victarian
Euron was the most dangerous psychopath in the show.
Joffrey was vicious but cowardly and short-tempered.
Ramsay was cunning but not charming or capable of diplomacy only driven by an impulsive sadism.
Euron had a gift for long term manipulation, was a savage fighter, a brilliant strategist, feared by his own men and can play the long game to get what he wants
51:00 I thought Young Ned said "not a stag of Winterfell"... which would make me cry. Upon a second listening I notice he says "STARK of Winterfell". Thank God for rewind...
2:45 wait a fucking minute....is this sword still out there?
I want to know now too
First Men King Robar II Royce claimed Lady Forlorn after slaying Qyle Corbray, the Andal King of the Fingers.
Imagine Robin Arryn wielding the sword and fighting against white walkers. XD
Iadad so, this sword is abit of a mystery, because house Royce had a sword later on that they lost in the dance, but house cobray (the original owners) have a sword with the same name, so either they reclaimed it or got a new one
House Royce had 'Lamentation' which they lost, but I think the Corbray always had 'Lady Forlorn'.
Euron is more interessting here than he was in his kingsmoot scene. Fucking show writers!
Badjoke Maker You do know that this is written by the same people, right?
Sejal Shah Huge swaths of these history and lore features are direct quotes from the books.
+Sejal Shah compare to the books the show runners did ruin his character doe
+Metrallata I think he should've been introduce in season five towards the end so more hype could've been build up for him.
They could of if they at least halved the sex scenes and random nude scenes and focused more on the story. Was the "Asha/Yara is a lesbian"story important? How about Samwell stealing Heartsbane?
it must be so fun to narrate these and be all dramatic while reading the script!
Always loved how river run was designed. Was nice to see it in the show
Who wrote these for the dvds? I'm curious because they're miles better than the writing in season 6.
No one did.Everything in here is quoted from the books
ayman mun Not all of it. I've read em.
great part of it is, and maybe it might be quoting WoW. Or it could be just GRRM.
Kristjan Kangro you want good writing but u need the bad poosey
Eh? Season 6's writing was pretty good.
Great quality! I have been looking for these in HD.
Sooo basically, Varys formed the Assassin s Creed?
with kiddos
lol
14:31 Oh Esbern, you crazy old loremaster. Branching out from the Akaviri and dragons? Good on you.
They should turn game of thrones into books. I would definitely read
Does anyone else get some serious Dark Souls vibes from this? The narration of the smiling tree knight gives me some serious emerald herald nostalgia
Bc it is!
Eurons actor was born for narration
@18:20 so the white walkers are the making of children of the forest? did i get it right?
Yes, they resorted to dark magic in desperation in their war against the First Men. But the White Walkers broke free of their control and became an enemy to the living
Euron's narratives are spine chilling
I guess all the people that ask "Is that Petyr Baelish narrating??!?" A: can't read, B: have never watched Lore and History videos, C: commented within the first 2 minutes of watching
Benjamin Meijer Or edited their post....
Does anyone know the name of the song/score that begins at 30:55?
give us a show about the andal invasion .. that's all what we are asking
Randyl Tarly has a voice like crunching gravel - absolutely menacing.
I could listen to euron all day
Im watching GOT again ,for the second time ,this year😂, and I decided to watch again this year after finding these season lores, its great to listen to these lores then get stuck into that season.just another way of me attempting to keep the best tale ever fresh and enjoyable, until I get to the second half of season 7 up to the disappointing end.I still think its better than any other series ever written, vikings, amd the last kingdom are good too,but not GOT good.thank you George RR Martin.
It appears that the Ironborn are going to struggle in a world to come. They'll have to become traders, since they got no fertile land, or just move to other places, or just extinct. If Euron joins Cersei - that's the shortest way to the extinction.
Aegon would have saved a lot of trouble if he'd just scoured the islands clean.
*WHAT IS DEAD MAY NEVER DIE!!*
ScrivaTV vwhere do u get these videos
And these broken and bare rocks could muster the teleport-fleet of Euron?
300 years of hardship, three major wars lost in the last 25 years. The best men dead or with Yara...and yet they crushed the fleet of the Reach, Dorne and Yara with ease...bullshit.
was probably in the contracts lol
That's strange to use the younger voice of Ned Stark to narrate the House Dayne segment. They typically use the voices of those still alive in the seasons these segments correspond to and this is like they've awakened Ned's ghost.
[Grand Maester Pycelle has joined the game]
Sup m8?
*ACTIVATE LITTLE_BIRDS.BAT*
[Grand Maester Pycelle has left the game]
AdamG1983 I laughed so hard that I spit out my beer 😂😂😂
Varys in this kind of forgets to mention that he cuts out the tongues of his little birds.
OneOnOne1162 Because this is show Varys, not book Varys
+audriannamunroe I know that, it was a sarcastic/snarky remark.
It is quite odd to see Qyburn bribe them with sweets.
this is my fix before season 7... man the next season is so hyped up to be action filled, sucks we have to wait at least till (HOPEFULLY) end of may, but since we don't have a new teaser for almost 3 months looks like its going to be in June....aaaaaaahhhh i can't waiiiiiiiiiiiiiit
I COULD WATCH A HOUR OF THIS ON SUNDAY NIGHT'S
Pretty nice how they used alot of the quotes from septon Meribald for brother Ray
1:19:22 they changed the naga bones to trees, there is no tree in the iron islands.
SuperKratosgamer No he made his keep from the Bones and Carved ships from the demon tree
Most of this stuff is word to word from the books but put together magnificently!
Calvin Alex Meh 50/50
Just hearing Eurons voice in this has changed my initial opinion on his casting. Beginning to like it more
The actor isn't necessarily bad, it's just that the writing surrounding his character is simply horrible.
A sea's attractions being described by the most feared reaver of it
Gameoftrones is my favorite tragic movie. And i can wait a next season7. Excitedly.
I find it funny the lord of light music is played when talking about dalton greyjoy. hinting at something hbo?
When will the History and Lore for season 7 come out? Anyone?
On December 12, 2017, available on DVD & Blu-Ray.
1:14:15 Lovecraft stones and fucking Cthulhu... Holy shit GOT's gonna get cray cray
grrm put some serious thought into this. Fascinating.
I never realised the Ibanese were inspired by the basque...
thibault caron ai ene! 🤣
55:12 brother ray story is not being mentioned enough in these comments
13:30 Sounds like burning man
does anyone know the music used in varys first story?
Reading the old comments breaks my heart. 4 years ago.. seems so long ago.
Dude. The Greyjoys were badass.
Euron became the terror of the world's oceans while sailing solo while Balon was losing for the 2nd time
Thank you!
lord royce more deserving to narrate about knights of rhe vale with pride
Ken Ken he is no loremaster. Baelish is a pure storyteller.
man I just love this story telling its just as good as the show . i don't want to sound like a moron because i don't know if there is one but i think a book should be made of all these story's.. but not just any book one with old English illustrations like the ones you find in very old religious text.. making the book look authentic like if at one point in history these story's really happen lol man that would be something id buy a book like that would keep me busy for a very long time .. might even turn me on to real history lol
patman0250 World of Ice and Fire, mate.
patman0250 Kindly forgive me for the unsolicited correction, but this is a pet peeve of mine.
The plural of story is stories, not story's.
The apostrophe between the Y and S in story's indicates either contraction ("This story's great!" Story + is), or is used to indicate a possessive ("This story's characters are unbelievable." The characters of this story.)
