I don't work for the casino any more but the reason they hold you up is so they can take a picture of your face and put you in the system. That's why at the second casino they were already on you. The manager gave just enough time for surveillance to take the pic and write notes. Then he "let you go" because they got what they wanred

    • @lostconciousness4255

I mean it's their job so at a certain point you can recognize people by the tattoos on their arm or the ring on a woman's hands because the camera is facing down on the table from above. So when a new person walks in someone walking in could look interesting they take the picture with the surveillance camera run the photo through facial recognition and then you're toast

@@stevenbridges A few reasons, former teammate no longer could be trusted to play with the count. If that gives insight. As well I was getting out of college and did want to have some professional experience. Card counter doesn't exactly help with corporate interviews. As well the travelling can be a bit relentless and I'm someone who likes road trips and travel. And I looked young so it really makes them question how does someone who looks 20-22 have money to play few hundred dollar hands? But it does have me questioning brushing up on my skills and re-certifying my game. I do find it funny you go D1 for down negative count. I always did P1 or N1 etc. For positive negative. I was thinking about this as well. Could've been an older or female player, Steven talked earlier about how being a single white male in your 20s is the no. 1 counting demographic, so if you're outside those demographics they might be less likely to suspect you. I was also looking at the winnings, which are obviously subject to variance, but they're just about in the range of the other players. That could mean that even though they do more hours, they bet higher when the count is low frequently causing them to lower their expected hourly rates. It could also mean they just didn't have a great run, just a good one and their EV was actually really high and they got extremely lucky with the backoffs but unlucky with the cards.

Upon first glance I swore you wrote _GINGER BREAD_ (as if it's some unnecessary codeword talk they'd choose instead of just saying red or ginger BEARD), lmaooo... But your comment was pretty smart advice cause he eventually does just that. 🧔🏻‍♂️👌🏻

I'm SO curious to know what Teammate #2 does that separates him from you all. How can he average almost 9 hours and rarely ever get backed off? He didn't win nearly as much per hour as the other two, so perhaps that was it (didn't draw as much attention), but somehow I doubt that's the whole story. He/she must be SO good at blending in, would love to learn from them, but obviously they can't reveal their identity OR secrets without blowing the whole thing up xD

i play a lot of online poker. the highs and lows are pretty similar. however, the big breakthrough for me was just learning to cash out when im ahead. its difficult to keep playing well due to the pressure, and just booking a couple of extra wins is enough to keep me motivated and not tilting too much

Great, informative series. I always questioned why counters didn't hit the smaller casinos where I would have assumed security wasn't as good as Vegas, Atlantic City, Reno, etc... Eye opening to see that counting is maybe more prevalent at the smaller places than I thought and they're up to par with catching on!
