Negreanu reminds me of certain people I know who have an ultra keen ability to be able to read people to the point where it's scary. It's almost like they can almost see right through you.
Well if you think about it he is either in a race (facing jacks or queens) or he is dominated by AA or KK. I don’t think you ever put an opponent on Ax with the way the preflop action went, it’s still a damn good read and play but I think it’s one of the least impressive hands in the video.
Im really not sure why people overplay AK so much, why is it so hard to fold AK when others 4-bet? You should be the last aggressor with AK,if others shoves or 4-bet you, most of the time AK is no good, for goodness sake even pocket 2s is still leading against AK. You can call but definitely not hard to fold. I always see amateurs overestimating AK and calls All-in. Depending on how deep your opponent's stack is and the value to call,is not a mandatory call
Regardless of what you think of him, you have to admit it's amazing how many times over the years he called out his opponents exact hand (or extremely close to it).
As a former poker dealer, you can say things like "one day i will be that good" and you know, some of you may be that good. But the one thing that i have noticed is that the people who make money playing poker know when to stop. Even if it is a bad fold/play. Realizing when to step back is more important than knowing when to push. I have seen very good/great local players get soundly beat by (for lack of a better term) wannabes just because something put them off their game.

Hey there, that's a good question that I'd be happy to provide answer. You we're on the right path but you have to remember that a players kicker matters. In No Limit Texas Hold'em, the best possible five-card hand wins the pot. On the turn, Daniel had the best hand with two pair: nines and threes with a deuce kicker. How was he "counterfeited" when her hand was nothing?
At 5:30, look and enjoy Doyle Brunson's hearty -- apparently totally unironic -- laughter, _after he had folded a pair of jacks!_ I read Brunson's books years ago, the first one, which he had originally self-published and sold for $1,000 a copy, I dunno, maybe 1987 or so. I read the trade paperback and paid retail, $14,95 or so. I read the second one the second one whenever it came out, I forget when but ten or fifteen years later -- and I recommend them both to anybody young, despite the fact that some peole say there are whole new theories of poker now, in 2024. I take this "whole new theories" thing with a grain of salt, but I'm no expert, so whatever. But Doyle: just a pleasure to have ever read. And his little defeat here, by having been yorked out of that powerful pair of jacks? Well, in his first book we read about his road days in Texas, when it was all illegal, but you didn't worry about the Rangers: you worried about the highjackers, which has nothing to do with sitting in the hijack. Texas highjackers were, and probably still are, guys who came in therough the door with guns in the middle of the night and lieave with all your money. Whether it was in the pot or not. 😞
You make the best hands with 5 cards with 2 pairs, there's already best 2 pairs from Ks and 9s after river show, what's the next highest card to be used as kicker?.. an 8
The best one for me was when he looked at the camera and said "Dont watch this video, its just copying what others have done hundreds of times before", should have listened...
11:15 can someone explain detailed why is that a win for 8 7 inseat of pair 3? Ok there is two pairs on the table, but the 3 is not toked in consideration, and only 8 high card?
Yes sir. You use the best possible 5 cards when playing poker. Since there is KK and 99 on board both players have 2 pair kings and nines. You now go to the "kicker" to determine who wins. Kristin had a kicker of 3 while Daniel had a kicker of 8. This is called having your pair counterfeited
Yea that was a great hand as well. I have another Negreanu video coming soon so let me know what hands you would like to see and I'll include them in the next one😎
Folding that Jack 10 straight was the best one. Personally on that I would not have folded and if I ran into a full house, bad luck. I would have gone all in earlier, but with the set of 9s my opponent would have called in any event so it would have come down to the river, but I would not have placed my opponent on a set of 9s. So I would have lost the hand had I gone all in, unless my opponent would have folded his set of 9s on that bet that is possible.
Oh I think you might be referring to the part in the video that says "a hand between two of pokers biggest rivals"? I added that part as a lil joke lol Good catch 😎

GOAT of entertaining the fans maybe👍 I actually love all these older clips with these Legends. Poker was so fun to watch back then.
Awesome channel mate!! Love all the videos here👏👏👏
* almost forgot to name the ACTUAL GOAT.... it's a Phil, but not Helmuth. Lol IVEY🐐
You almost had me for a second 😂 The GOAT debate in poker is always a fun one! But you nailed it. Im glad you enjoyed the video and thank you for watching.
Any suggestions on the type of poker content you would like to see in the future?
Tbh, I love any clips or highlights from the older Legends.... but you're already doing a spot-on job of balancing old and new content.
I love this channel and I see it growing to something big in no time.👍👍 Well done
Thanks man, that really means a lot! 🙌 Comments like this make all the countless hours of editing well worth it 😎
Daniel is the king of poker no doubt
Do you think he's better than Ivey?
@RoyalFlushMediaCompany I think Thier about even
I love the connection Negreanu and Leatherman already had this early in the game.
They were hooking up lol
Daniel: Like the best possible hand
Mckeehan: *has a stroke*
Negreanu simply knows how to play power. He has to have some familiarity with psychology and the ability to read a person based on there reactions as well as when they beet and how much...but it also helps to be rich as if he loses, it's no big deal.
My fave poker player😍imagine sitting with loads money on the table and DG is incessantly doing his chatting thing😂😭
Must be the first time in history someone described Seiver as exited... 🤣
To say that Daniel bluffed Phil is not accurate considering Daniel had the best hand
He did bluff Doyal out of the best hand.
Don't remember what game but he folded his hand after putting his opponent on a 8/9 of diamonds flush.
I get tony g being slightly annoyed, but i feel like most of the top guns have issues with not realizing how much more it means for other people lol if theres no clock, hes allowed to think however long he wants to
The Foxen bluff was the best imo if you see the hand in it’s entirety
Folding AK and folding the straight vs full house 🔥🔥
11:10 someone please tell me how Foxen was the favorite when daniel had the only pair??? Am i completely missing something
they both had two pair since the board has kings and 9s, daniel's 3 means nothing because of the two higher pairs and with her 8, foxen has the higher kicker
@@dillonhitt that must be a different rule set because I've never heard of that. Thank you for explaining to me Im a noob.
@@Cosmosis462 nope it's the only rule set of Texas Hold'em
Your hand is the best possible combination of 5 cards, not 6, not 4, not 7, only 5 cards
Her combination is therefore better
This type of hand is rather common
Great video my dude. I see that your a small channel so I’ll toss u a sub
😎 My man! Thanks for the sub! Good luck in our $50 giveaway this Friday 🤞

Seiver literally held that face for years at the table. Goblin mode
@11:05 - someone explain to me how Foxen won this hand (technically, because it shows her with 8-7 suited) and the table has 9-9-3-K-K.... while Negreanu has the pair of 3s. She has nothing. No straight, no flush, no full house. How does she hold the advantage with nothing? (Im not a very advanced player, is there something Im not aware of here?)
How was he "counterfeited" when her hand was nothing?
2:30 😂😂😂
At 5:30, look and enjoy Doyle Brunson's hearty -- apparently totally unironic -- laughter, _after he had folded a pair of jacks!_
I read Brunson's books years ago, the first one, which he had originally self-published and sold for $1,000 a copy, I dunno, maybe 1987 or so.
The full house read was amazing
Great compilation! The legend himself.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it
Question: At 10:59 Daniel has a pair, how does Foxen have a better hand?
You make the best hands with 5 cards with 2 pairs, there's already best 2 pairs from Ks and 9s after river show, what's the next highest card to be used as kicker?.. an 8
OK this is why I'm not a gambler, even with your explanation, it still took me a moment to sort it out, thanks! xD@@3ax41n
Negreanu is the man his reading skills are second to none!!!
Absolutley!
He makes playing poker just fun… sometimes it’s just too intense.
14:59 “and perhaps constipated” how out of pocket was that 😭
Very interesting video thank you!
My pleasure!
IMO he is the best player out there. Him
And Ivy for sure.
Been a only a few players with this kind of reading ability. One now coaches Helmuth.
Who is coaching him?
@@RoyalFlushMediaCompany I was under the impression Layne Flack was. If not, he still had an amazing read ability back in the day.
"And perhaps constipated "😂😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂
Telepathic memory and I am one of them. E.S.P. Daniel Negreanu. Greedy gannet, Phil Hellmoth.
9:53 Brain fart? Got Negreanu right until this one 😂
I'm thinking Aces or Kings. Brilliant. Shlomi now thinks if he put me on that hand, he can beat it.
Kid Poker is likely my all time favorite pro
Who’s your second?
I like his cheerful demeanor. he's my favoritre player, and I've seen him make a log of scary reads down to the actual cards and suits
The best one for me was when he looked at the camera and said "Dont watch this video, its just copying what others have done hundreds of times before", should have listened...
The commentator of the video keeps changing the way he pronounces Negreanu. It's really funny,
As the years went on Daniel even bluffed his head into believing it had hair.
😂
#10 for sure! What a read!
@@patrickledonne5547everything right but kristen who had the kicker 8 and dan had a kicker 3
Wow.. Raymer actually plays like most of my friends I play with.
The last hand was epic with an excellent read and a wise beyond the real-intuitive fold.
I haven't lived there for a while, but surely there aren't any houses left in Oz for sub $300k
I used to HATE Dan.. but I love the dude now!
There’s a few more epic hands that I was expecting to see here… when he called AA vs McClean was so good, he completely froze his opponent
Yea that was a great hand as well. I have another Negreanu video coming soon so let me know what hands you would like to see and I'll include them in the next one😎
I don't like Tony G but he's right 😂 " You bet $6,000 with nothing,not even a pair" 😂
I remember once he predicted de turn and river exactly
Poor Shlomi never gonna live down that pocket KK hand. Everyone will still be seeing that video 10 years from now.
Daniel and Phil are actually good friends, you made it sound like they dont like each other.
Really? How so? Because that wasn't my intention.
@@RoyalFlushMediaCompanyOh ok my bad, i thought thats what you were saying.
Oh I think you might be referring to the part in the video that says "a hand between two of pokers biggest rivals"? I added that part as a lil joke lol Good catch 😎
Tony G eating the online-poker heroes alove lmao. Dude is savage
