You worked that AD into there so well I literally didn’t even notice until like 30 seconds in lol looks like a cool news subscription honestly
I dealt for many years. Also counted cards as I dealt. Comes natural to me.I don't have the bank roll needed.Traveling also is out. One main reason is "I hate the game".
You really need a big bankroll to survive the inevitable bad runs. It takes many hands for counting to really work for you, in the meantime you are bound to take some serious losses. Also counting is a mindf#$^ because sometimes you are required to make plays that are completely counterintuitive. You have to trust the count. It's harder than it sounds.
If the Casino backed you off when the count was right to raise your bet, then they are taking advantage of the count by refusing your bet, extremely unethical behaviour.
why would it be unethical for them? it’s literally what the card counter is doing in reverse.
@@supitschillbro the card counter is there to play, the casino is refusing the players bets based on their intelligence, that is unethical behaviour.
@@donttellmewhattodo7750 ?? the intelligence of the player has nothing to do with it. the casino is deciding to not take bets that are negative ev for them, just like how card counters choose not to play slots.

both sides have just as much right to decide to participate or not. freedom of choice.
@@supitschillbro Do you even know the rules of Black Jack and the role of the casino? People lose their livelihood and families because of gambling addiction and the house edge, you're saying the only time you can improve your odds just by paying attention is not Ok.
It's not illegal to count cards, what's unethical is that the casino only likes to take advantage and accept bets from people with a 5th grade education like yourself.
If you don't understand what the word "Unethical" means, you should buy a dictionary from your local bookstore.

As a dealer myself, it blows my mind some casinos are watching that closely... In my 6 years as a dealer I've never had a single player backed off or tossed for counting. Even my pit boss friends don't pay any attention to counting

Your videos make me want to learn how to start counting cards, but also not want to at the same time. I love how educational they are, is the risk worth the reward?
It depends on a lot of factors. The biggest limiting factor to entering the world of APs is if you have the bankroll necessary to withstand early bad variance. There is also quite a lot of travel involved, and if you're someone who doesn't handle confrontation well, the threat of backoffs and trespasses can affect how well you actually perform

I walked into my local casino in Reading, I'm not a blackjack player at all but they first thing I saw was they use auto card shuffling machines and thought to myself `you can't count card in here...` LOL.. Great channel and commentary, thanks for your efforts
Most UK casinos use shufflers now. Especially lower limits

Hey Steven, I loved the hand-by-hands and I always love the silly interactions with your teammates.
I also like the "I like your face" code phrase. It's awkward enough that people have to be absolutely sure it's you before saying it else risk looking like a proper buffoon; and even then, they still might not want to! Win-win!

Just don't say it too loud or the dealers and pitboss might look closer at his beautiful face.
@@hidef9265 maybe be a bit more specific like "i like your smile" because then the pit boss/dealer will be less focused on overall appearance and more tunnel visioned on one specific attribute. you can really mess with peoples attention that way, like how magicians can distract your attention, or the viral video about "did you see the gorilla?"

at the Orleans watch out for a late 50s/early 60s white lady with dark hair. she counts when she deals and if it's positive drops the deck 2-3 hands early and when negative might even deal an extra hand after the cut card.
Goofy Bird doesn't like tips lol, seems counter productive.
If this is true, that has to be the most hated woman in the casino.

@@michaelblankenau6598 Having been a dealer, I can say with confidence that there are some bitter fucking people slinging cards out there. If she's a dealer that prefers standing at a dead table for her whole shift, this would be a pretty easy and hard to detect way of busting players off her table

My brother is a pit boss in a Vegas casino (Boulder station) and he said that facial recognition in casinos nowadays is old hat. Instead, they have technology that recognizes a persons walking stride and said the way a person walks is just as unique as someones fingerprint and that this technology has a 95% success rate. very interesting
there is no way this is true. your brother may have seen a demonstration of a future technology, but ai is not at a point where it can recognize distinct gaits with any meaningful accuracy. there’s too much variability in how individual people walk.
it’s kinda like how it’s hard for computers to guess how many calories are in like a plate of food, because different ingredients can wildly change a dish.
@@supitschillbro it’s absolutely true. The technology has been used in Vegas casinos for a while now, it started after Covid since everyone was wearing a mask. It’s used in conjunction with facial recognition AI. Look up gait recognition technology. It’s not 100% accurate but it’s accurate enough to be getting used in casinos. You would guess there’s not much variability in peoples fingerprints either but it turns out there is
