Staying off daily weed consumption for 30 days, just to pass a preemplyment screening cures my permadepression every time. Hope I don't fall back into it once I get the job. It's hard not to touch again.

I’m addicted to alcohol and cocaine. I’ve been clean for 3 months. It took intensive outpatient treatment which I’m still in, and continued work. The idea that after one month you will be good to go is misleading for real addicts. I still want to use all the time, but I have a lot of strategies to avoid use. It’s does get easier over time, but if I’m not vigilant I could relapse tomorrow.

Be accountable. I became addicted to heroine and cocaine in my early 20s for a while. I was binge user. When all is said and done, its all down to accountablility and being brutally honest with yourself. You have to make a choice, keep sniffing or , dont ever do it again
Its down to you. You either choose to be weak, pathetic, hurt yourself, your family, be self centrered, not responsible for your health, or do the opposite and take responsibility and cut the shit out. Make the right choices . Thats it. Do the work. Thats it.

It is not misleading. 30 days is an excellent reset for the brain and body. You will not have any physical cravings or withdrawal symptoms after this time, and your dopamine receptors will be largely repaired (providing you didn’t just swap your addictions for other dopamine spiking activities).
There are people who relapse after a year, or five years, even a decade of sobriety. That is not to do with dopamine.. their brain was actually healed. It’s because the addiction was a manifestation of a deeper emotional problem. If you don’t fix the underlying emotional problem you will remain unsatisfied in life, and sooner or later you will slip back into your choice of addiction.

I would recommend during the 30 day period if getting off hard drugs or alcohol to supplement with microdose mushrooms or LSD. This seems to expedite the process of breaking those dopamine pathways and creating new ones.

If possible, I’d really love to see a video covering some of the new data surrounding GLP-1 agonists and the ways in which they function to suppress appetite but are also being explored as methods for potential addiction treatment? Saw a few headlines, but nothing with real in depth hypotheses. Curious if anything has to do with dopamine pathways.

So, in order to stop doing a certain bad thing, you have to stop doing it for 30 days and then continue to stop doing it. Basically, you just have to stop doing it. Makes sense. Got it.

    • @iamgodphotography
      @iamgodphotography 2 місяці тому +1

Yeah, I thought it was kind of ridiculous to put 30 days as how long you stop but I think they just mean 30 days is when it takes for the dopamine receptors to restore. I still have depression from drug abuse and I quit for two months, but psilocybin mushrooms will help

Try keeping inside or in a journal contemplating how bad it is to do what you want to quit like this. Costs me 80$ for vaporizer liquid a month. It distracts me from other things when I take a hit. It feels harsh and dry in my mouth with a bad chemically after taste in my mouth and if the pod isn’t changed often, which costs 10$ each, it takes horrible and feels like it’s disintegarting my tongue. 40 bucks extra a month. 120 total. It messes up my dopamine cycle in my brain thus makes me more depressed because I don’t feel normal all the time. I’d do anything for a fix. That resounds negatively on my experience and character which keeps me from opportunities with my peers. If I”m not careful and don’t quit it will likely transform my lungs in such a negative way that if I had started with that much damage to my lungs I wouldn’t be able to handle it.
Experience with intensity all of the bad sides to this without actually doing them. WHen you do them take in all the bad sides of it. Do so for all the behaviors you want to change. But keep a stiff upper lip. With every behavior, starting or stopping, start small, with incentives and rewards guiding behaviors and encouragement to do better with failure. Change other behaviors you don’t mind changing to exercise your ability to change. Realize the power is within, with the higher self, but that the power is also without, with other people. Tell them your progress, celebrate it with what you can handle. If you don’t go for the next instance of the thing you’re trying to stop you can even do the thing you are trying to quit. Start by cutting back. Look at the birds, bees, mushrooms and trees. They’re all happy without what you want. Contemplate how when they do have dangerous thrills they do so inoften so that they’re body regenerates from doing drugs.
BUILD UP TO IT! YOU GOT THOUSANDS OF YEARS OF EVOLUTION BEHIND YOU!

Creating an imbalance without personal history is dangerous, doctors do this all the time with one size fits all additude and fresh out of school docs got to realize book smart don't mean you are people smart.
Trying to play god ends up with people saying stuff it and go out drug seeking, balance is not respected.
Harm reduction is key especially with ptsd, syndromes and the like, we need to step back and look at the problems right now instead of projecting our beliefs, some people are in survival mode and they cant help when it kicks on, we cant measure success the same for everyone because as soon as they stop trying then that is a loss.
mental illness in my experience has always turned out bad if i dont take the warning signs serious because no one else will especially in this society where everyone is bent on shame and guilt tripping.
    Love and light

I usually agree with this guy, but in the case of fasting, unless someone is already anorexic, fasting for 30 days may cure them of more than drug addiction. It may heal their body of all kinds of things. Fasting is not a bad protocol so long as you include water and most Americans would truly benefit. Most of us are a bunch of overweight slobs

I agree with this but keep in mind, this is not for a drug you're chemically dependent to. Otherwise it will do the opposite. If you have any sort of even mild or vague withdrawal from cessation you need to taper first for this to even work. There's nothing inherent about "detoxing" in this process if the dependence is clinically meaningful.
