I don’t eat out hardly ever, but in February I took my son out for his birthday to a steak house, I gave the waitress my food allergy list: shell fish, pineapple, canola oil, vegetable oil, pork, sugar, grains, peanut oil, sunflower oil, cotton seed oil, corn oil, soybean oil, grape seed oil, margarine, MSG, all soy products. It’s embarrassing but I would prefer a moment or two of feeling awkward to days and days in pain. They cooked my ribeye and eggs in butter. I asked the person who brought my food for butter, they brought it and my waitress was walking past and snatched it off the table and told me that’s not pure butter, they whip vegetable oil with butter because it looks prettier, 😱🙄 The waitress went to the line in the kitchen and got me real butter. I gave that waitress an extra tip just for taking such great care of me.

@@w1975b I always bring my own water, I don’t drink nasty city water, I have my own spring well at home. Last time I met my niece, I had my lunch box with a container with homemade burger patties. I ate with no shame and she was not embarrassed either. My health comes first.

It’s always good to ask about the butter at restaurants. I don’t go out to restaurants as often anymore, but when I do ask about the butter and the server goes to ask someone in the kitchen about it, they come back and say yes, it’s a mix of butter and some form of vegetable-based oil. Servers often believe that it’s just regular butter.

I also had UC. They rescued my colon with Remicade then 3 months later it opened me up to Guillian Barre Syndrome. (Listed in Remicade literature as possible rare side effect.) That was hell. Switched to Entyvio for next 4 years.

@@BoluMc Hi, I'm a month into this diet now and I'm feeling very positively about it.
I have my infliximab infusions every 5-weeks and usually in the week before I'm very tired, have less strength in the gym and feel a general, mild inflammation throughout my body. I didn't have any of these symptoms leading up to my latest infusion today!
Other general things I've noticed so far:
No bloating - my stomach never feels uncomfortable. I no longer have 'food babies' after eating my belly is basically always flat now.
Reduced cravings - Hunger throughout the day is reduced. Meal times leave me satisfied for hours.
Body Composition - I was 75kg and athletic before starting as was worried I'd lose weight on this diet. Im still 75kg but have become visually leaner with more muscle and less fat.
Better sleep - I find that I have deeper sleep and wake up feeling more refreshed that I used to.
Overall it's too early to draw any final conclusions for myself. However, I can only say good things so far and will be continuing as I am. I will update again next month.

i found something out today, boiled meat is delicious. i took a 2lb chunk of sirloin with fat and connective tissue, pressure cooked it for just under 20m with just salt, it came out medium rare in the center and it had a soup with it. it was so easy to eat and sat so well in my gut. i'll try chuck next, and shoulder roast. i get tired of grilled or pan fired steaks, and its less greasy boiled.

A lot of our produce is deliberately “infected“ with an insecticide called BT, to make the plant resistant to being eaten. And even organic produce sometimes gets tainted with glyphosate at some point in the production of the final food product. Legally. And then even organic produce is often sprayed with a hydrocarbon preservative. That’s before it lands on your plate, possibly cooked in inflammatory seed oils. We didn’t have to deal with that when we were young. It’s such a shame what mad scientists have done to our food.

Great to hear your story....it's the same story I have. I'm fairly new to it at this point just started Jan 24, 2022 but it pretty much reversed my colitis in under a month. I've been a little to willy nilly with trying to add things back in way way to soon, whether that's seasonings of one type or another or mustard etc. But when that goes awry I just go back to beef butter bacon and eggs and in a few days it's back to normal. I do find that pure unsweetened cocoa powder really helps me feel good. I add it to plain Greek yogurt thickened up with 35% whipping cream as a treat and it causes me no I'll effects. Coffee for me can be a bit hit or miss so I've been weaning myself off it. ...down to 1 cup black in the morning and one before I workout, I'm gonna try using butter in it and see what that brings, I love the experiments n = 1. Normal I have a 6-8 hour eating window which obviously butter coffee will break a fast but I don't think my body likes extended periods of fasting. I tried a 20 hour fast the other day and I got diarrhea out of nowhere. Thanks for telling your story. I try to tell as many people as I can about this, it's unbelievable how much this has given me my life back.

Grass fed beef should be the cheapest meat you can buy. Went to a cattle auction with a rancher friend ho bought 4 cows a little over 600lbs each total 2400lbs for a total of a little over $600 they had all to that point been raised on nothing but grass, he said the extra cost for grass finished is a scam.

What would be a fair price for a pound of ground beef? Don't forget about the slaughter process. They need to be taken to a processor, who does that, then divides up all the parts and packages it up for sale. The farmer raising those cows has to pay the processor. The farmer will pass that cost on to consumer.
