The other night, I cooked a two pound, bone-in, dry aged, ribeye, in smoked tenderloin fat called, Chef's Gold. It was simply amazing. As a life long cook, when do I box up the hundreds of cookbooks I've collected? For me, food has moved from the entertainment category, to the fuel category, where it belongs.

@@anthonychaffeemd its a little depressing to hear all these amazing stories like Brett curing his IBS in only a week of carnivore - when Im up to almost a month and still having lots of energy issues and it has triggered IBS type symptoms. This is inspite of following all the the advice - Lots of magnesium, Salt, Water, (Added potassium chloride), organ meats, and very large amounts of fat (the most I can have without being naseuous which often triggers IBS symptoms). The brain fog and fatigue is prob the worst thing, followed by the digestion.

I had spoke out about government oppression since 1990. I did this from a Native American perspective on a community radio station. What I’ve come out of it with is that our government is owned by the wealthy for the wealthy. I especially used as information a friend, also Native, who was an economics head at a local college. That and tons of reading including international law, federal law, etc. All of this I did while being an uneducated truck driver.
What is being done to kids is probably a violation of the rights of the child and definitely NOT an act of genocide, a law and actions I’ve studied for decades. I’m not as active in these arenas these days. That’s a long story.

I've been carnivore since April 21. I know we don't really need organs, and I would usually only dabble in them a bit myself. However, due to the rising costs at my butcher each week, I found my eye drawn to this pack of grass fed ox heart in his fridge recently, and the fact it was so inexpensive, I just had to try. So, I ate my first slice of ox heart yesterday. Wow, it was the cheapest steak I'd ever had lol. It is just so beefy, it was great. Admittedly I wasn't looking forward to it, but thought it best to try it before dismissing it. I was really pleasantly surprised. I fried it to a medium rare, in pure Irish butter and sea salt, and accompanied it with 2oz of beef liver. Delicious.
I'm from N.Ireland and so this is in £, but it is superbly inexpensive. I got a pack of ox heart for £2.50 ($2.80 approx). I got 10 slices out of the pack, so 25p per serving. My beef liver is also only £1 per pack, also providing 10 servings, so last night's meal was a fantastic 35p. 😊

I’ve tried to educate them on nutrition and biology and the basic functions of the body. But no one is implementing it. I’ve even tried to hit them where they are at. Where I was is I had asthma so bad I was using my inhaler three times a night my arthritis was so bad I could hardly walk my lower G.I. issues were a 20+ year old issue that affected my life terribly. But since going carnivore I have cleared up almost 100:% all of my issues. I knew cheese causes my asthma attacks but I ate it anyway and one night I said I can’t do this anymore and I changed. People don’t want to change they want to do the same Thing they’ve done all along to comfort themselves. Well you can only comfort yourself for so many years. Trust me I am 64 and my dad was a chef and I was raised on ethnic foods from all over the world. Everything we did revolves around food and my dad was a sugar holic. I was raised on candy and sugar cereals and apple juice. I ended up being a crunchy salty eater not a sweets eater but the effect is still the same.

I agree with that comment. 👆 Make sure you’re actually eating enough food in the first place if you ever do it. I do it sometimes, but I dont go crazy with it. Fasting does give your liver a break and lets it catch up. You’ll also look a bit younger (as a bonus) when you allow your liver to do its thing. I know some ppl start these journeys after being very sick or unhealthy, so think of fasting as allowing the cleanup and repair crew to have some extra time. 😊 Just so long as you are eating enough food and nutrients for that even to take place properly during fasting.

    • @c.j.howard2857
      @c.j.howard2857 Рік тому

I wonder if, since naturally fed animals are leaner, perhaps we don't need as much fat as people think we do? Imagine killing a properly pastured ruminant, the most prized fat will be the leaf fat surrounding the organs. Besides that, you get what you get. Your environment will provide what you need, IE: the Eskimos who thrived on higher fat had access to the animals that supplied it. But living much further south, lets say the American plains, you got what you got from the ruminants grazing across the lands. The animals you ate at any given location, provided what you need. Living in Mid-west America (as a plains Native lets say) you were provided with what you needed already, you didn't need to order a tub of tallow from Wellness Meats cause some guy or gal on the internet subjectively tells you to eat more fat.

I liked this talk untill the theme changed to politics and taxes. Nothing wrong with fair taxes. Don't forget you need the roads and infrastructure built with public money to get access to your grass-fed beef, your gym, your playing field, your school. You pay so much taxes because the system is rigged in favour of big capital, so they _don't_ have to pay taxes. And who is behind the whole 'let's do away with meat' thing? Right: big capital as well. Don't complain about taxes, take action so they'll have to pay more, so you can pay less! Go RED, not just for your meat, but in politics as well ;)

    • @anthonychaffeemd

I have no problem with legitimate taxation however as Harry Truman said every dollar that the government takes that is not used for the strict running of the country is legalised theft. Probably something like 75% of the federal budget meets that description at the moment. I don't have a problem with corporations not paying taxes because it's not the government's money in any case and the taxes that are corporation pays just gets pass on to their customers or taken away from their employees in the first place. Only thing you can tax are people and whether that's corporations or individuals, it's the same thing. I think the problem is more to do with out-of-control government spending than anything.

Nonsense, tax goes to the power able to enforce the rules. It is definitely not the innocent productive people, who have to work to pay the tax under the threat of violence. They are not the state, they are just serfs of the state. It is the government and all administration and privileged lobbies associated with the government. They just pretend that they work for you, your wellbeing and you are naive enough to believe it.

i love Dr Chaffee… BUT …. ADHD is not food driven!! (yes it can make the symptoms worse) but adhd is a neurodevelopmental disorder. I’m 44…. never ate lunchables…. never grew up with electronics…. i grew up free range running around outside…. AND i’ve been carnivore for 3 years before finally being diagnosed.
maybe food is part of the problem on the trauma that can contribute to the lack of development of infants executive dysfucntion in the limbic and prefrontal cortex. but i’ve lost some respect for you for the lack of education and the ignorant opinion of ADHD.
i will say that carnivore has helped mellow my symptoms BUT without medication, (ya it we ARE born with either less dopamine or with altered dopamine uptake and stimulants are dopamine uptake inhibitors so ya, meds help alot with the neurotranmitter component of executive dysfunction) I dont function well enough to be a fuctioning adult.
maybe do a podcast on how carnivore can help people with ADHD.

    Carnivore, and right wing politics.
I have been carnivore now for some time, partly inspired by this channel, and I enjoy this channel, and Im looking for more content to follow.
So having said nice things I just have to comment on this video, and of course this is my opinion, so read it or dont. Generally I hope political issues not directly relevant to food will be avoided as much a possible, as well as religious matters.
I find the political extrapolation into political ideology, by Dr. Chaffee, and his comments, and comparisons of China and USA to be, well idiotic ...
The ide that eating meat is associated to personal freedom, comparable to the political ideology in right wing, western political thought, is very fare from reality.
It is correct that politics effect the quality of food. Capitalism preys upon the need to eat, as well the need for having some health service. This is universal. Everyone needs to eat, and needs healthcare. The problem is if political freedom in the capitalistic model, is that even food and healthcare is free to be exploited. The point of - specially American healthcare, and food industry - is not the wellbeing of the people living in USA, but how can this be exploited in the capitalistic system. I think we all understand this.
Taxes can not be compared with slavery. The taxes serve a function, for the general good of the taxpayer, in a functional democratic system. I suppose we all understand this.
The taxes are not to serve the state, at least it is not suppose to.
The taxes are to guarantee universal healthcare, a system that cant be provided in any other way, and they are to guarantee other "universal" services, like quality of food.
If this things are given free, they automatically seek to maximize profit, and the quality, and outcome for the public is not the primary outcome, if profit is the primary outcome.
This is clearly demonstrated in the western world. The American healthcare system, and the food there is not good for the people living there.
Unfortunately the dominant position of USA, puts the globalists there in a position, that they forcefully export this dysfunctional system, to the rest of the west. This is what we have to fight.
I think the fact that Dr. Chaffee is situated in Australia, does not contribute to a balanced view of China. Being American does also not help.
USA is the end result of the western colonial movement. The western countries have taken their turn in being on top. Portugal, Spain, Nederland, Germany, England .. to name a few, nave enjoyed the advantage of the head western civilizations gained, after renaissance, and the west had enjoyed affluent setting, not from rightwing political ideology, fare from it, and partly also from exploitation of the rest of the world.
This movement - the colonial, imperial movement - was exported to different part of the world. Australia, amongst others, but also to USA. After disposing about 130.000.000 native Americans, the western momentum continued, and USA has been the dominant imperial force, the last 100 years or so.
The west has not always been in this position, and it will obviously not always stay in this position. The right wing political ideology that Dr. Chaffee is referring to has been dominant in this system, only since the later part of the British empire, and was exported from there, to the USA. The "superiority" of USA does not come from the political system, but from exploitation, of a position in the world, that was inherited from Europe. This makes use of exploiting the position of the dollar, from being in position to put stones in the machinery of other countries, and USA has done this extensively, to prevent competition. In short, USA drags the whole world down, just in order to stay on top.
This has absolutely nothing to do with ground beef.

I find your political ideology idiotic and totalitarian. You have absolutely no idea what equality of rights and freedoms really means. Let alone true capitalism. Fascism is not capitalism. Educate yourself. Taxes are clearly enslavement of the productive people, who are forced by the threat of violence to give up big part of what they (and nobody else) have worked for. With your silly opinions you should be a woke socialist vegan and not eating meat.
