    40 years ago multiple doctors recommended surgery to remove my colon due to severe ulcerative colitis. I rejected this. I tried teas, vitamins & minerals, and just about everything else. Nothing worked until I started a Keto type diet long before the term was even coined. It took time but I cured myself! No problems whatsoever for last 20+ years. I'm now carnivore.

Also T2 Diabetic and AFIB, these conditions are all linked, I see it now after so many years and then after watching all these wonderful men and women who went the extra mile like this one, Drs. How I wish my doctors had told me to eat carnivore over the 40 year course of my “severe ulcerative colitis”. Ended up with a Proctocolectomy approx 15 years or so ago. Disease and meds all took their toll. But carnivore now and no more blockages and no more pains after eating due to the adhesions.

  • @GG-uv9ok
    @GG-uv9ok 2 роки тому +38

    Spot on. The carnivore diet had me off meds and pooping normally in less than 2 months. Once I was whole again, I introduced some veggies back into my diet, but only well cooked cruciferous vegetables, onion, garlic, and cooked leafy greens. If things stir up again, I know exactly what to do - just eat meat, seafood, and eggs and my life goes back to where I want it to be - my GP was horrified, but she clearly doesn't know something important.

    Wow that was good! I don’t hang out often with Doctors like you- I mean I haven’t met any. I’m 73, UC since age 11. Tough time early on, but I always knew food was the answer. No operation, no pharmaceutical drugs. It’s been a journey with grateful times of mostly good health. I’ve educated me a lot, recently functional nutrition studies and work with a functional nutritionist. Last year she suggested carnivore for me and found better health. After a break I’m back at it and surrounded myself with fellow carnivores. I notice so many positive changes: sleep, blood sugar and poops are better! I read my report from my last colonoscopy 3 years ago, and not much to report on! But I’ll take your heed and continue the scopes, if only checking for cancer. Thank you so much for this video!
    - I’m looking for more content on the relationship between UC and blood clots. Which was my DX for AFib.

    Two things - 1) I think the condition running in families might not just be genetic, it may also be down to inherited gut flora from the mother's birth canal and breast milk 2) Doesn't the issue with plant fibre just add more weight to the argument that homo sapiens sapiens are carnivores and opportunistic omnivores who's biology is just not suited to the massive environmental availability of plant foods due to modern agriculture and shipping/transport? I am Scottish and there is almost no edible plant material that grows in the wild here and for many months of the year there is none at all. My ancestors did, however, hunt three large mammals to extinction for their meat (European brown bear, elk and wild boar).

    Dr Cywes, thank you for all the information you give us.
    I live in Australia and my health issues have plagued me my whole life.
    Asthma, auto immune and migraines.
    A few years back I had issues with my bowel and became incontinent for two years.
    I also had a problem with mouth/ tongue liaisons.
    I recently had severe abdominal attacks and at first was told it was diverticulitis.
    Antibiotics didn’t help and a CT scan showed Ulcerative Colitis. I was then given steroid and it improved.
    I had further attacks and again steroids were given.
    I have also an inflamed and fatty liver.
    While I was waiting for a Colonoscopy,
    I went back to keto and took out all grains, starches, nuts, seeds, dairy and fructose.
    I had the colonoscopy and it was clear,
    and told I do not have ulcerative colitis.
    The doctor dismissed my diet changes.
    I believe I put it in to remission with keto / carnivore.
    I am due to start biologics for the spondylitis as it is not improving even with these changes.
    I have come off asthma meds due to taking high levels of Vit D.
    Still working on migraines and really would like to stop Botox and steroids blocks,
    If only you did consults to overseas clients.
    Thank you once again

      Was diagnosed with UC last Christmas. Several terrible flares between October-February. Doctor said eat what you want, add more fiber, and take drugs. I went the natural route with carnivore diet, low dose naltrexone and serum bovine immunoglobulin…and lots of prayer and fasting at the start. I’m cured, feeling great. Will go off supplements slowly. Spore based probiotics actually did help me.

    I fell off keto for the last year or so, but was on keto strictly for 2 years solid before that. My stomach issues were gone during that period and I didn’t even notice. Things have been pretty bad since going off keto and I figured out I’ve got all the same issues as my dad. I’ve been back on keto for a couple months and it’s already starting to get a little better. It’s miserable having flared ups all the time and feeling sick and tired. I did long stretches of carnivore during keto too and never had any problems. If anything, bowel movements were better and more regular. It’s also awesome to hear a doctor say you’re gonna get the shits haha. This inspires me to stick with it though. Thanks Doc

      @@robertcywes2966 Fun fact: I have an older brother who was born to my parents when they were very young and they couldn't look after him so sadly they put him up for adoption. Years later he tracked down his biological parents (my parents) and we learned that he had crohns disease since he was around 13 and I later developed ulcerative colitis at the age of 27. So we both shared biological parents and genetics but grew up most likely in different environments with varying diets but both ended up with some form of IBD.

Being that I don’t have a colon , but suffer from pouchitis , what would be the best way to eat for me .? Do i benefit from OMAD? I usually do intermittent fasting 18-6 . • @Roxxigaro
      @Roxxigaro 2 місяці тому +1

      Cut out eggs and milk.
      They are technically carnivore but they are highly allergenic foods and typically clinics that put patients on carnivore tell them no eggs or milk because it is safer to assume they are a problem than assuming because the patient does not detect any immediate responses that they are ok. Once you are more sensitive to bad foods (say after 3 months on carnivore) then try adding back in a bit of egg or milk, any bad reaction in mouth or digestion then keep away from them,
