Spooky Island actually had a roller coaster in Australia, Warner Bros Movie World in Australia had a ride that was based off the ride in the castle of spooky Island, it's kinda cool actually

Daphne decided to wear purple high heel boots to a beach island and that's when I realised she is a fashion queen. Purple mini dress and purple heels, that's my beach outfit sorted for when lockdown is over
This movie was SO underrated. My sister and I got the same level of entertainment out of it when it first released. I was a high school senior and she was in early elementary. This is proof you can make a cartoon live action and do it well. This is also when I first fell in love with Linda Cardellini.
My favorite parts of the OG live action Scooby movie are how they hinted at Scooby and Shaggy being stoners & especially Scrappy being the villain I always knew he was.
7:11 Actually there is an irl Scooby Doo roller coaster that's kinda based off the Closed Creepy Castle/Haunted House scene from this film (haven't actually been on it myself yet since it's always closed/got a ridiculous wait time lol) - The Coaster itself can be found over at Warner Bros Movie World, QLD Australia; and next to the Superman coaster (which may/may not hold a record for being a Really Fast Coaster), remains one of the park's most Iconic rides/attractions to this day (that is, if Covid hasn't messed with it perminantly..) There y'all go, now have fun ^_^
Okay honestly I literally just figured all of this out now I had no idea about the training video or why the monsters were doing what they're doing like I must have been a dumb child too
I think the training video was to help the monsters acclimate to human society so no one would know they were monsters and then ruin Scrappy’s plans. Obviously it wasn’t that good of a training video because the monster who took over Carol’s body legit THREW a man across the beach so….. 😂😂😂 and as for the monsters and their motivations I don’t think they had one. I think Scrappy was going to rule the world with them as his wingmen so I don’t believe the monsters were motivated for anything except following orders
The funniest thing about the Scooby snacks in my opinion is according to my mother, fresh, not stale, FRESH dog treats can taste like just regular cookies.

It’s funny that everybody is saying I watched this so many times as a kid, but dude...I still watch the movie. I will always watch this movie because In my mind it’s a fantastic movie cause I loved it as a kid and still do as an adult.
I know youtubers hate suggestions but the second movie of scooby doo takes it back to the original series kinda, showing you all the people they exposed, proper taking it back to the old series, it’s properly nostalgic. Also it’s super 2000s so it’s a gem anyway.
I actually remember like Kellogs or something making actual scooby snax and they were dog bone shaped biscuits that tasted like cinnamon and ginger, they were really good
The concept of these monsters using people's bodies and then that horrific scene at the end where scrappy is turning gigantic was very scary to me as a kid
Bionic: "I don't really know how Scrappy acts like as a cartoon character, like I've never seen any cartoons of him" Me: "He acts terribly. There description over"
No idea why, but every memory of this movie is attached to the song "It wasn't me" and therefore every time I hear that song, I think of this movie and specifically Velma. @@thefantasticretroreviewer3941 it’s not a meme, it’s a fact
@@bladeinthesmint5995 Why didn't you say so
This movie was where thousands of Scooby fans discovered that Velma was actually hotter the Daphne.
Very true
Hello joe
If you're talking about live action then sure. But that's only because they cast Linda Cardellini as Velma.
The movie that made teen boys like it, made teen girls question themselves, or made teen girls hate themselves. There's no in between.
True
This movie is clearly why I'm bisexual, I remember having the absolute hots for Shaggy and for Velma
Dude same quit stealing my childhood lmao
Sameee
Velma in that one scene when they gave her a make-over whoooo chile if that didn't stick to my gay brain for the longest time
S A M E
Velma in the red suit in the second movie made me realize a lot and loving vinyl/pleather clothing is one of them
I was 4 years old when this movie came out and I can say with the upmost certainty that this aged perfectly well compared to the crackheads cartoon network tried to give us a few years back.
Hocus Pocus (1993) Full Movie what movie name
Yes
Spooky Island actually had a roller coaster in Australia, Warner Bros Movie World in Australia had a ride that was based off the ride in the castle of spooky Island, it's kinda cool actually
"I was a Dumb child"
Remembers how much BP LOVED Master of Disguise as a child
Matthew Lillard as Shaggy is one of the best performances of our time
Was the perfect Shaggy
Matthew Lillard as Shaggy is as perfect as J K Simmons as Jonah Jameson.
you should definitely review the sequel if you still don't know what to review next
Yes
YES
The first one is still the best but the second is also good
@Judy Mwanzo which one though XD
Fun facts Pig the cast continues to get called to play the scooby doo gang by robot chicken, Freddie Prinze Jr. (yes that fred's real name) went on to be the voice of Kanan Jarrus from star wars Sarah Michelle Gellar (Daphne) Married fred and is also buffy the vampire slayer Linda Cardellini (Velma) Became a well respected voice actress know for iconic roles such as Wendy from Gravity falls, CJ from regular show, and Hot dog water from the SUPERIOR scooby doo show Mystery Incorporated and Matthew Lillard is Matthew Lillard I think he owns a D&D store
matthew lillard has done voice acting for shaggy as well
Daphne decided to wear purple high heel boots to a beach island and that's when I realised she is a fashion queen. Purple mini dress and purple heels, that's my beach outfit sorted for when lockdown is over
I'm sorry but "Spooky Loompa" got me so off guard that I choked on an orange from laughter
Not even the creators liked scrappy, they even make a joke in Mystery Inc. that his name should never be said.
This movie was SO underrated. My sister and I got the same level of entertainment out of it when it first released. I was a high school senior and she was in early elementary. This is proof you can make a cartoon live action and do it well. This is also when I first fell in love with Linda Cardellini.
The voodoo guy is one of my favorite characters in the movie!
"WHY ARE YOU ALL UP IN MY VOODOO RITUAL SPACE?!"
Anthony Anderson would have played him but had schedule conflicts with Kangaroo Jack.
My favorite parts of the OG live action Scooby movie are how they hinted at Scooby and Shaggy being stoners & especially Scrappy being the villain I always knew he was.
7:11 Actually there is an irl Scooby Doo roller coaster that's kinda based off the Closed Creepy Castle/Haunted House scene from this film (haven't actually been on it myself yet since it's always closed/got a ridiculous wait time lol) - The Coaster itself can be found over at Warner Bros Movie World, QLD Australia; and next to the Superman coaster (which may/may not hold a record for being a Really Fast Coaster), remains one of the park's most Iconic rides/attractions to this day (that is, if Covid hasn't messed with it perminantly..)
There y'all go, now have fun ^_^
Anyone else crushed on Velma? 😐
Also only ever saw Shaggy as Matthew Lillard, don't think anyone else could have done Shaggys character that well
Crush is an understatement. Velma has an entire genre of kink now
I honestly preferred Daphne here. And this was before I watched Buffy.
@@chmchn No.
@@cultreader9751 No.
Okay honestly I literally just figured all of this out now I had no idea about the training video or why the monsters were doing what they're doing like I must have been a dumb child too
Same
Same
I literally never understood the monsters motivations or the training video. I was a dumb, dumb child
I don’t care what others say, I always loved this movie(s), as a kid, teenager, and young adult. It’s still good. And people write it off simply bc it’s a “stupid premise for a stupid premise.”
Fun fact: the original cut of this movie got an R rating
#ReleaseTheScoobertCut
Horror movie
that's when you know its gonna be a good kids movie (im not joking)
I want to see R rated Scooby Doo.
Wasn't there a scrapped scene of Velma doing something-or-other
Daphne getting caught was a deleted scene. She encountered demon-Velma and was caught by Lucha Man
"I'm jealous of women, they dont fart."
Your poor wife...
🤣🤣🤣💜
F for the chat
She's probably got more gas build-up than Yellowstone...
@@theblackbaron4119 Oh no! 🤣🤣🤣
This live acton scooby doo movies is one of my all time favorites. I watched it ALL THE TIME. I even played the games and found the clickable Scooby snacks on the menu. It makes me so happy to see so many people love this movie
It’s funny cause Scooby snacks is an actual weed strain
"That fight scene in the end with Daphne is great and well done"
Well you can see more Daphne fight scenes in Scooby 2 and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Just take some orange tinted glasses with you and she is kicking ass practically all 120+ episodes.
The more you know🌈🌠
I love this movie, because it sounded like they were genuinely having fun with it
Oh no not the yassified appa
You should talk about Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed soon.
we are here
@@AliFrankTheTank Yep
Fun fact: some of the outfits that Daphne and Mary Jane wore were so short that some of the length on their outfits had to be CGI
There is a scoobydoo ride at movie world on the east coast of Australia, I've been on it many times, half of the ride is in darkness
this movie has one of my favorite dvd commentarys ever because it's just the cast goofing around
Also fun fact: during the dinner attack scene the purple hentai lookin thing accidentally hit Matthew lillard in the eye so after production he got to keep it
It’s funny that everybody is saying I watched this so many times as a kid, but dude...I still watch the movie. I will always watch this movie because In my mind it’s a fantastic movie cause I loved it as a kid and still do as an adult.
Mikaila Kloss same here used love watching it and still am tell this day.
I know youtubers hate suggestions but the second movie of scooby doo takes it back to the original series kinda, showing you all the people they exposed, proper taking it back to the old series, it’s properly nostalgic. Also it’s super 2000s so it’s a gem anyway.
We got a little bit of spooky island in Australia. The spooky coaster at movie world. It’s great.
I actually remember like Kellogs or something making actual scooby snax and they were dog bone shaped biscuits that tasted like cinnamon and ginger, they were really good
They were graham crackers
You know when you watch a movie from your childhood when you're an adult and it is just bad?
This movie still slaps EVERYTIME 😍
this guy: "I've seen waay too much hentai to not know where this is going"
me: *chokes on cookie dough*
i almost choked on my drink at this part lol
"Aw man. Hiding in a building while Sugar Ray breaks windows with their guitars trying to kill me? Thats how I'd want to go."
-BionicPig 2021
Josie and the Pussycats also had a great live-action movie that still holds up today IMO
This movie actually had the absolute perfect casting. Everyone not only naturally looks like their characters but they portray them masterfully
*A Universal Studios "Spooky Island" set would be absolutely incredible..!* 🎢
They could even have the "Spookyloompa" always randomly popping out from around corners and sneaking around spying on guests..! 😍
@@DMTInfinity they are owned by wb so it would have to be at six flags

MAKE IT HAPPEN PLEASE!!!!!!! 😭
I was literally just staying at tangagllooma! That’s where this was filmed, it’s an island resort in Australia
freddie prinze jr and sarah michelle gellar are married in real life, so being able to act like each other probably wasn't that difficult
18:36, The way you said "This seems abit....SUS" always makes me laugh.
The concept of these monsters using people's bodies and then that horrific scene at the end where scrappy is turning gigantic was very scary to me as a kid
Yo the Shaggy weed references are amazing lmao
They really are though! XD
Velma was prob the first character ive ever had a crush on
Mine was Shredder
What movie do you review next? The sequel to this movie
Bionic: "I don't really know how Scrappy acts like as a cartoon character, like I've never seen any cartoons of him"
Me: "He acts terribly. There description over"
That was some of the best product placement I've seen in a long time. Gfuel must be extatic.
Velma sure awoke something in me when I was a teen
The scooby doo movie was and will always be an absolute banger of a movie
This guy looks different every time he ends up in my recommended
"Yo fam, can I, like, snatch you up real quick?"
"Sure, could you get Arby's though?"
No idea why, but every memory of this movie is attached to the song "It wasn't me" and therefore every time I hear that song, I think of this movie and specifically Velma. I would have sworn on my life "it wasn't me" was played during the credits, but apparently I'm super wrong and therefore should be dead.
