it actually is a 12 point something watch in 38mm...
I stand corrected my good sir it is actually 12.2 should have said 11point something
+1 for the rubber strap, love it! I also ordered a true black rubber strap with white stitching through my Omega retailer. Also, 38mm all day!
Purchased 38 white in Italy. Mine came with gator strap. I have other luxury watches. This one flys under the radar. Classy watch. Cheers!
I have the exact same watch, but two-tone. The strap was too hard for me to get an adjustment. I bought a smaller rubber strap from omega and it works perfect. $400 is a lot for a rubber strap though. I have the 8800 movement in mine. My watch is quiet. No rotter noise at all. It's just as accurate as my new role. I use this watch when I want to be invisible and I have a short sleeve shirt on. You can't beat it! I have a comprehensive collection. When I want to go somewhere special, I'm usually wearing something other than bio makeup aqua care. I'm actually a Rolex guy.. The one criticism I have of five aqua terra is that the crown is cut on a bevel. I'd like to dig into my fingers. I wish it had a standard crown on it, as I'm getting older, I'm finding that I have to slide all of my small crowd watches off. That's why the Rolex works best for me. My aqua terra cost 11,200 list I did get a deal from my retailer however I did not get a deal on my strap like I said 400 bucks is a lot and that's without hardware.. It's a beautiful accurate watch that does not say steal me all over it. I tried the new Rolex 36 mark to date just. I ended up giving it to my wife. I still have my aqua care. I love it.
Great review. You have excellent taste!
Thanks so much i appreciate it!
I have the 38mm blue dial and love it! Personally I think the AT is the best all around sports watch in the whole luxury segment. Great video and review by the way!
Thanks for watching! And i agree! Best all arounder
Had the blue 41mm on bracelet and got the strap as well. Incredible watch. Ended up selling it because I got a nttd smp.
Uuff NTTD IS SOOO GOOD! i get it! I would had sone the same. Thanks for sharing!
Useful review. Thank you. The negatives you describe would be enough, however, to dissuade me from buying it. Good work. Enjoy the watch. It’s beautiful.
Glad it was helpful! Thank you for watching!
Great video , love the aqua terra only disagreement is with the bracelet I don't feel the polished center links suit the watch and the quality is just alright Rolex makes a far superior bracelet. Incredible movement though and beautiful lugs and that rubber strap is fantastic! Wear this in Good Health, cheers.
Same here. I was deciding between the 41mm green dial and this 38mmm white. I got the 38mm white instead and it's an amazing watch.
Amaazing! Its a great watch! Congrats on your purchase! Wear it in good health
I am stuck in the exact same dilemma, with same models.
What’s your wrist size, may I ask?
6 inch
@@donald1983 thank you. I have a 7.1 inch wrist. 38mm looks fine when I do a wrist roll. But looks small in the mirror on my wrist.
I have the blue dial 38mm AT. Absolutely love it. The dial is amazing and the only thing that I miss is on-the-fly micro adjustment. I’ve just bought a 36mm Explorer 1 and I’m struggling to decide which watch to wear each day. First world problem I know!
I also have the explorer 36mm but am considering the blue dial 38mm AT. Do you think it’s worth having both?
@@ottyman1 That’s a very difficult question! Logically and financially speaking, no. They are both superb watches and can do anything. The AT leans towards the dressier watch and the Explorer more the sportier wiatch so it depends on your lifestyle. I’d say the Explorer is the better GADA watch because it matches casual and business dress equally well. I probably wouldn’t have bought the AT if I’d had the Explorer. Emotionally though, I’m glad I have the AT because the dial is so beautiful. I won’t sell the AT and owning it means I won’t buy a Grand Seiko, even though they also have beautiful dials. That probably doesn’t help answer though.
Sorry, for some reason I can’t edit my earlier comment. I should’ve said that the AT keeps time more accurately than the Explorer. My Explorer loses about 1-2 seconds a day. My AT never loses time and only gains about 1 second a day. Not a real issue of course as I don’t wear mechanical watches to keep precise time
100 % about the white dial version. Those blackened hands and indices were what sold be on this watch. i got it originally on the leather which is stunning grey that matches so well, but like you I then bought the bracelet as well. People complain about the lack of adjustability, but those half links can give almost anyone a perfect fit. For me it's by far the most handsome AT. great videography ! 👊🏻 PS all the coaxial movements use 3.5 HZ. it's just a "feature" of the coaxial technology.
I'll add that the rubber strap, namely the type of clasp it has, tends to snag on fabric. And if you have kids and you carry them on your watch arm, then your kids will get caught on the deployant too. Bottom line is the fold over deployant is neat and a cool feature at first, but gets caught on things quite often.
The bracelet on the other hand, for all its faults is very low profile, and the butterfly clasp does not get caught on anything. Not ever. The center polish and flat link is something that grows on you the more you wear it.
I wear the 41mm with black dial and can confirm it’s almost perfect. It works at the beach and office and the METAS specs are amazing. I like the Explorer I comparison for a GADA watch. The bracelet is indeed a bit light based on the weight of the beautiful case, but I enjoy the low-profile nature of the clasp. Best wishes, everyone.
thanks for sharing! im glad you love your 41mm aquaterra
Hi my wrist size is 6 inch will it fit me proper. Will the a r coat make it prone to scratches.
❤
Great review! I think I know what your answer will be, but what would be your choice between this and your previous OP36?
this is a very tough choice... i do think that the op an incredible catch at retail... its a bit cheaper than the aquaterra and i think its design its abit more timeless but if you are sick of wating get the AT is just amazing and having this make me think less and less about the rolex op
Ah but you do still think of the OP! ;) I get it. And you’re right, at retail it’s one of the no-brainer timepieces that will stand the test of time. That AT though is quite a looker and can certainly hold its own against any watch.
Silver teak deck dial 4mm
Love to look at the dial
Beautiful,I will buy one.
You will not regret it!
I can’t find the grey strap online. What is the name of the strap so I can ask the boutique if they have it?
It is the 19mm gray rubber strap with deployant clasp for the aquaterra 38mm just ask for it like that
Nice watch. I like this colour configuration. Have always wondered why Omega don’t make it in the larger sizing like the rest, though. The 38mm is just far too small a sizing for most men.
Best watch ever
Indeed!!!
I love the band that is not tapered
I do too i find it comfortable
I’m tempted to get this watch with the metal bracelet but I’d like to purchase the rubber bracelet on its own..but I can’t find it anywhere! 😔
Go to the omega boutique they have it
From a cost perspective, you’re better off buying it on the rubber strap first and then purchasing the metal bracelet from an AD…the rubber is a better option anyway imo
Great piece... I have the 41 mm grey dial with blued indicies 💙💙 Love absolutely everything about it but lack of micro adjust on the bracelet. It's almost perfect and I'm ok with almost in this case 😂
I love my 38mm white at :)
its a very lovely everyday watch! wear it in good health!
@@AndySTWT thx,, the same to you and keep making great content :)
Let’s collectively agree right now to stop saying GADA.
You don’t like the sound of it? Or whats your reason?
@@AndySTWTyes it sounds really bad
Agreed. It's such a deeply cringe thing to say. Way too many videos of people trying to tell us how an $8000 steel watch is somehow as purpose-built as a $50 G-shock. Nobody is relying on their Explorer I in a life or death situation when they go mountain climbing anymore. These are toys for adults we can stop playing pretend and just appreciate them as design objects at this point.
How about everyday watch? I prefer that over GADA.
Everyday meaning I can wear the watch to the office, doing yard work, kayaking, and the pub without it being out of place.
GADA is just clear. I think it's a very useful term. Nothing "cringy" here.
What do you think about the new Aqua Terra Shades collection?
It's better than this one. Much much better bracelet on the shades.
@@keefw361 The bracelet is interchangeable.
@@sensible202 ye if you have a spare €1000 for an official bracelet/strap
So. Much. Want.
The noise is down to the ceramic rotor bearings.
Yes! Thanks for clarifying that! Appreciate it!
@@AndySTWT you won't have that problem with the 41 (8900 movement)
In countries with high humidity in Summer, rubber straps are just annoying. Fyi
really? i would have thought the contrary.
I wish the 38mm came in green
ME TOO !
Omega has just answered your prayers! (green PVD dial 39mm)
whats GADA bro?
Go Anywhere Do Anything
reference number, please?
Yes is the 220.10.38.20.02.001
If AT keep increasing the price Rolex will be automatic choice. At those prices Rolex explorer has better bracelet, black AT is stunning looking. AT right price is 5k in my opinion they are increasing price for no updates or adding value.
Yup i don’t know why is too expensive! Does not make sense any way is a very good watch. But at secondary market prices is a no brainer
Because they think they can due to unavailability of Rolex explorer or wait time. I like AT but not at that price and wait for Rolex because it will retain value but not omega. It is a chess game. But omega have to be careful destroying the brand, preponderance these weee 3k price point.
What the heck is gada?
Go anywhere do anything
This bracelet is no where near Rolex. I have this bracelet on my world timer and it’s absolutely cheap and thin. No taper and it just sits funny over the fold over clasp. Switched it out to the leather alligator band and I’ve got the same issue with the adjustment. It either too tight or too loose.
The dial and the movement is nice, but the bracelet is just terrible. And please, stop comparing this watch to Rolex. Rolex gets it right with the fit, finish&feel.
Look i get your point, but omega and rolex has always been compared, and my experience with this watch hasn’t been anything but satisfying. I said in my video that the bracelet from rolex is better and gets better the fit and finish, i can say that FOR ME this bracelet feels incredibly good on my wrist … FOR ME. We cant always agree with each other and thats good! I love that about people cause if we open a good discussion it gets fun.. obviously always respecting each others opinions. I see your point and i can agree in somethings with you. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!! I appreciate it!
The bracelet is shit and cheap. However the AT shades bracelet is much much better and the shades is a much better watch to buy because of this. Don't get this one get the 38mm AT shades
