I love that he wants all the Swatches, and that's actually a really smart investment, because I don't imagine him ever wearing them, so they'll still be mint mint in a few decades.
Omegas have always been for people who want quality and can afford to pay for it, but have no need to wave a Rolex around...it's not so much about status, so your true blue Omega enthusiasts aren't insecure about a Swatch collab.
Rolex wasn't always like this. I remember about 5 years ago you could walk into a boutique and get a steel Daytona and my boss had a gold version and no one cared whereas now people are charting investment values of watches and people are getting assaulted and targeted by criminals for their watch. The world has lost its mind over the last few years.
This is a great format and I love these videos with the two of you. This one had a lot of commercials in the middle of it which was annoying since i was trying to study the watches you were showing.
At first I thought Moonswatch was a great idea until I found out more about the product. If there is ever a problem with it you just throw it away because it is not repairable. The crystal is not a crystal it's acrylic, which does allow you to buff out scratches. If the acrylic ever breaks to a point where it needs to be replaced it is irreplaceable. The acrylic crystal is laser fused to the bio ceramic (plastic) body. Basically all they've done is taken a Swatch and put the Omega logo on it and boosted the price. Honestly for the money, you can certainly buy a better quality watch elsewhere.
I just bought the new 2022 Speedmaster Professional "Sapphire Sandwich" a few weeks ago. And now I'm fixed on to the Aqua Terra in red and/or terrakotta ... beautiful piece.
"They offer affordable pieces to start"… I think Teddy should probably coach Kevin a little bit before these videos and/or give him some perspective. Otherwise a nice video.
They have different audiences. Teddy is aware. Kevin is semi aware when he makes that comment.... however.... I don't think he cares lmao. His "affordable" is low end of premium 😂
Entry Level? Once upon a time, I would say! To call >5K watches „Entry Level“ is pretty strange even in times prices for luxury watches are sky rocketing without limits as it seems! In hard times there are other brands which would deserve to be called „entry level“, such as Seiko, Mudo, Longines, up to Nomos, Tudor… But yes, if you are thinking about Rolex, Lange&Söhne, Jaeger, Patek… well, Thema less costy Omegas could be seen as entry level.
Teddy you and Kevin knocked it out the park again with this video that Terracotta Aqua Terra is beautiful. Soon as Kevin saw that watch he was smitten that will look stunning with a Red band on it.
$5000 is very affordable, period. That is if you're part of the 1%. I'm proud of Teddy for keeping it real by disputing the definition of "affordable". $500 or less is what I'd consider "affordable". For me, $500 for a watch that won't even tell time as accurate as quartz is a lot of money to spend on a watch.
If you need accurate time from an analog watch (assuming you can’t just look at your phone as most addicted cretins would protest), Casio is the way to go. If you like watches as mechanical curiosities and don’t care if it’s off by a few seconds/day or minutes/week, then $500 is a good range for what amounts to a hobby expense.
Realizing that the Swatch-Omega is practically disposable (there’s no way to replace the acrylic if you broke it) it’s really disappointing. Not worthy. Not even as a part of a collection, that you’re not planning to use.
I usually agree with everything these two say, but on this occasion I don't. I think Omega have gone completely off the reservation in 2022. The Moonswatch is a plastic gimmick that cheapens the brand and the new colourful dials reek of a "me too" attempt at Rolex's 2020 OP collection. What the hell is going on at Omega at the moment? I now wouldn't touch the brand at an entry level point.
Finally! Someone who is talking some sense. Omega has greatly cheapen their brand with the MoonSwatch. I went from a potential buyer to zero chance of wanting to purchase an Omega.
I understand Teddy does these collaborations for the sake of content and his channel......but I am sure that internally he despises Kevin O'Leary. A young guy with such a good taste, elegance and common sense, cannot really connect with someone so arrogant, disconnected from reality and sooo watch illiterate.

Why would we want Kevin to utter any perspective other than his own?
Always entertaining and informative. I very much appreciate both perspectives and enjoy hearing Kevin's take. Thanks for the continued great content!
Kevin's name will never be the same after the FTX fiasco.
You guys do so great together! Great video!
Entry Level? Once upon a time, I would say! To call >5K watches „Entry Level“ is pretty strange even in times prices for luxury watches are sky rocketing without limits as it seems! In hard times there are other brands which would deserve to be called „entry level“, such as Seiko, Mudo, Longines, up to Nomos, Tudor…
But yes, if you are thinking about Rolex, Lange&Söhne, Jaeger, Patek… well, Thema less costy Omegas could be seen as entry level.
There are many "entry level" $500 watches with excellent eta/sellita movements from lots of microbrands that will last a life time and look great.
This collab is legendary, do more please!
Realizing that the Swatch-Omega is practically disposable (there’s no way to replace the acrylic if you broke it) it’s really disappointing. Not worthy. Not even as a part of a collection, that you’re not planning to use.
Great colab
Great to see Kevin rocking the Snoopy
Lol ok
Great video. That terracotta AT is awesome. Glad to see moonswatch being taken the right way!
I understand Teddy does these collaborations for the sake of content and his channel......but I am sure that internally he despises Kevin O'Leary. A young guy with such a good taste, elegance and common sense, cannot really connect with someone so arrogant, disconnected from reality and sooo watch illiterate.
Nice video man, thank you so much.
Teddy, you just lowered your brand by sharing time with this con.
Wdym they just both love watches and enjoy discussing it
Absolutely love Omega!!
Always love hearing Kevin's take on these watches! Cheers, Jack
Picked up a Heritage Seamaster 300 based on your many videos. Absolutely love it. Another great episode Teddy !
Great episode, Love that AT and speedy gold!
Thank you both for keeping it classy and fun to watch
Love Teddy and Kevin together!! Excellent video.
Great video! Would love more video on Omegas!
I can’t get enough of these segments
I saw the Diver 300 in blue on Saturday and fell in love.
Very nice Video as always :) Would love to see a video of you two talking about the point of mod watches. Keep up the good work!
Those new Omega Swatch watches are amazing. I might have to get one. Thanks for covering these
I like to see more on the Junghans and Marnaut watches and what is both of your perspectives with the brands’ products. Great video by the way and I love the collection of Omega watches.
Always enjoy seeing Kevin!
I have purchased the moonshine on a bracelet gold dial , Can’t wait to pick it up ❤️
Teddy, I love these collaborations with Kevin. The content and discussions around the various watches is fantastic. Omega is my favourite 'obtainable' brand so this was extra special! Keep 'em coming....
