Glad you liked it Sebastian. This format is fun because it allows me to share thoughts on items that wouldn’t justify a dedicated video. Although I would love to make a video on the Panerai and AT.
Ahhh NOOO! I wanted to start a video series like this! “Watch news you missed in X month”. But… would not be a patch on this! Awesome video Adrian! Loved this!! 💕💕💕✨✨
It’s great that you give props to other watch aficionados. Traditional brands really need to move more quickly with the times and recognise this is how most people consume content
I’ve played with the new micro adjustment on the Aqua Terra and it’s basically a sliding cam. It has a short and long setting and short should be your normal fit and long is for when you want a bit of comfort release for a while. In the long setting it leaves a gap in the bracelet at the clasp which some might not like. They could have sleeved or overlapped these parts for a better look although this would have brought other problems with snagging hairs and intricate pieces that could fail or catch each other. These black dials are clearly going after Rolex OP and Explorer sales in my opinion. I think this three models for the same watch is going to be Omega’s new strategy or it should be. When Omega releases the new Seamaster I think it will be available in 2/3 sizes. A. Choice of 42mm 40mm 38mm would make a lot of sense and it would increase sales and appeal. We will see 🤔
Thanks for the update Adrian! Most of these new Tudor releases that start out hot like the pink dial will cool down in a year or two and suddenly start appearing in the boutiques on display and available for immediate purchase. Great recap of the latest watch news.
My favorite watch in the world that I do not have, is an Aqua Terra. This piece might be "basic" but it is also stunning. I would love to see that in person aswell.
I have the green one in 41 mm. Pros: dial looks great, ARC is excellent, movement is rock-solid at +2 s per day, watch goes with literally any outfit Cons: hard to get perfect fit with no micro-adjust (although it looks like there is some minimal micro-adjust in this new black model). Lume is not bright, and the lume on the minute hand overlaps the plots on the hour markers, which makes it difficult to tell the time in darkness
@@isaiahgray6415I love the green one in 41! Would only be better if they took the bracelet from the new black aqua terra also for the other dials! I think it looks even better.
Epic format! More of these round ups coupled with T&T weekly round ups is epic. AP making moves, everyone joked on the marvel watches, the collabs etc. Saying they are a prestigious house blah blah. That they are, but they are also market geniuses and moving with the times faster than any of the other major houses so hats off!
That’s so great hear. I’ve been wanting to do this format for honestly years. But just never got round to doing it. And wasn’t sure how it would go down. Really appreciate you saying that. 🙌🏻
Excellent summary of 'lots going on'. The AP collaboration video did raise eyebrows this side of the pond but I guess they know what they are doing…..New Omega release is really interesting can't wait to see one. The new Panerai is very cool but the price point is steep. Thanks again for your content; always high quality and informative.
I recently bought a very basic tool watch. Ranger by Tudor. I am totally satisfied with it. After years of owning Bezel dive watches, I finally decided I don't use it and I wanted to simplify. No bling or shine, all tool.
mamacoo You are so well-informed about luxury watches. You've obviously done your due diligence and the comparison to the US is very informative...because of course, I live in New York. thank you very much
Great video. It's good to see you dedicated youtubers getting notice. That Panerai seems like a gimmick or too much but you're right. That's what we love and buy... over engineered, needless, mechanical masterpieces. Pretty cool. Can't wait to see it in the flesh.
Great roundup. Surprising to see AP do the Nico thing largely because he rides the edge a little more than I would expect a brand like AP to get in bed with. Either a calculated move given the amount of options or Nico knows someone on the back end. Love to see Andrew Morgan and the Bel Canto given that he is not just a youtuber but also someone who has been unashamedly waving the Christopher Ward flag. It feels like a natural collab. Love that aqua Terra as well. When the prices come down after the initial launch it could be the explorer I want but can't afford.
Been watching your videos for a while now and was inspired to start a collection. Started with the amzwatch, its specs for price and clean looks, now am looking for a dress watch to add.
That was fabulously enjoyable. I really enjoyed your thoughts on the way watch brands are learning new communication channels. Long may it continue. TAG launched a new Aquaracer...lots of dial detail unlike the wonderful Aqua Terra...but would love to hear your take on them. Thanks for the content. ❤
got my 39mm with the white dial on the 3-link "Bader" bracelet watch on mamacoo 3 weeks ago and am loving it to pieces. Absolute fantastic watch that wears super comfortable on my 6.75 inch wrist. Chose the 3-link over the 5-link bracelet for the toolless quick adjustment. Way more comfortable than my Longines Hydroconquest 41 mm.
Love the content and broad summaries. I've got so annoyed by the Tudor pink chrono release and how Tudor/ADs have handled this. Many watches were reserved for 'influencers' rather than genuine customers in a bid to raise more awareness. The current re-selling at ridiculous prices just shows that the ADs are complicit in furthering the grey market. However, if someone does pay £15k for that watch more fool them as it will never hold the price.
The more I see of the new AT, the more I like it. I’ve never been a fan of the teak dial. I own a Railmaster which I like quite a bit, it gets a lot of wear, worn daily to work. It’s been ideal for that, under the radar, no fuss. If I ever bought another Omega, the Railmaster would need to go, something I’m not motivated to make happen. The blue dial Globemaster still catches my eye from time to time, this new AT, this would be a very nice addition. I’ve got a friend with a white dial in 38, photos don’t do it justice, this is more in my wheelhouse.
funny enough, i went to a omega boutique a few months back and asked him about on the fly adjustment, he said that butterfly clasps cannot do that. So i showed him my JLC polaris date that does just that. Now omega has the on the fly adjustment. i love the aqua terra small seconds.
Don’t comment very often but it’s been really nice to see this channel develop over time. If I bumped into Adrian in real life I’d probably greet him like I’d known him for ages. Bit weird really, but cool.
I've recently began my obsession as a watch collector. And i must say- out of all the luxury brands I've been researching, for me the mamacoo's watches are the most intriguing.
Would love to see a whole range of lacquer dial Aqua Terras in other colours, even with GMT or lunar phase/day-date complication... MOGA !(Make Omega Great Again). And would love this monthly update to return.
Aqua Terra is always awesome but I do prefer the old black dial with the 3d effect. This new one looks good too though, I don't like the silver frame over the date window but it's an understandable design choice with the inky black dial. Kinda feels like a Grand Seiko.
Great video! Love this watch - it truly feels both luxurious and indestructible. The only thing that could make it better would be it to come on a stainless steel bracelet. Another weird thing is the 12 o clock pip is not lumed but the rest of the numbers are.
That new Omega AT is by far the most interesting watch released in a while, nothing boring about it, it's elegantly simple. I just desperately hope it's the the premier of the new AT line and that AT's will have, as standard now, lacquer dials, more polishing, the upgraded bracelet, and tool-free microadjustment in the clasp. If so, they will do serious damage to the market share that the Datejust has.
First time I have seen your channel. Must say this was a great approach to news (I was a tv newscaster in my past career). Yet I don’t see weekly “news” videos on your channel. I hope you consider it. This would be a cool addition to the SM world of watch followers. (Unless you do this already and it’s just not labeled as such, in which case shame on me, and I will look at more videos before commenting).
the adjustment was previously developed from 2019 for the constellation. Mine extends by 1.55 mm. TGV made a video and had to make anaddendum as he failed to spot it on his review of the constellation, Its craftily hidden and counterintuitive to use.
I recently got the Rolex Explorer 40, and just saw the Omega Aqua Terra Black Lacquer at my local Omega boutique. I love the new Omega, but feel it might be to similar to the Explorer40... and yet I want to buy the Omega and am trying to convince myself it's different. 🙂
Nice that you mentioned Armin Ström. They make some really cool watches but hardly anyone knows them. There’s an AD near me that sells them but other than that I’ve not seen them anywhere.

The quick adjust on the new Aqua Terra is basically a butterfly clasp with a push button on the actual milled fold over portion that allows the bar to move out a half link. It's not much.
We need more monthly updates like this!!
Your people have SPOKEN!
Then it wouldn't be monthly, right? (jk) ;)

What an amazing outcome for a beautiful watch. Always a pleasure to see amzwatch work your magic. Thanks for sharing this transformation with us!
love this video - as someone who dips in and out of the watch world - a monthly summary like this is perfect to keep up to date
Thank you! This is actually a good format to know what watches actually are coming out. Especially since ADs don’t always have the fresh watches.
I think I found this more enjoyable than About Effing Time.
