Chonext completely useless. Tried live chat. The guy just disappeared (Ciaren) . Rang them, the lady tried to put me through to him, he was not available. The lady tried to help but also no idea. Very poor.
I never thought I'd have a one watch collection until I met the Aqua Terra. I've since sold all my other watches and the Aqua Terra Golf (black dial, green seconds hand) on black rubber has graced my wrist every day since. Classy enough for work, sporty enough for the beach, the perfect "go anywhere, do anything" watch. I definitely prefer the symmetry of the date at 6, and the quick hour setting is so convenient for travel. And may I just say the way the light twinkles off the dagger indices is just magical..

Yes! It's my daily watch, always correct on any situation, a mix of dressy and sporty, if i can say so. And fancy. I love it, as you can see by my words.
My daily wear watch used to be an Omega too, a cosmic 2000. But then I was gifted another watch by a relative and it's now my daily wearer, cause it has a lot of sentimental value to me. But Omega is still my favorite brand along with JLC, I love the Omega quartz models too
Just bought the the 41mm version with blue dial and blue rubber strap and I'm totally in love with it.
Best advice I can give to everyone. Take your time and ask questions. I bought both of my dream watches this year, both Omega. One of them was the Omega AT 8900 with the blue dial. Good luck to everyone on their journey!

@@Jungleman707 I bought a 42mm Planet Ocean 8500 with the black dial right after the AT.
The pre ‘17 Master Coaxial 8500 is also anti magnetic, and has twin spring barrels in the 38.5. Amazing watch. Technically superior to a date just in nearly every way.
I got one for my 60th earlier this year and i couldn't be happier.
I do agree that the date is sometimes difficult to read but i assumed that was down to my ageing eyes.
Its a keeper!
It's funny that Omega, despite its pedigree, is still underrated. Classic design and technical superiority over so many other watchmakers. Yes, they have a problem with brand identity but for what you get for your money..wow.
@@vianouche1 I assume it's a reference to the fact Omegas don't hold/gain value like Rolexes do. Well, rare speedmasters sort of do. Does any other omega model?
Of course, that's due to the fact that Omega doesn't play the artificial shortage game that Rolex does. Omega will make as many of its standard models as it can sell.
@@TechnoLawyer But there are a number of different issues. First of all they have too many models to choose from, which dillutes their brand identity. Even well known models have far too many sub-variants. Furthermore most of their watches are too large imo. Last but not least - and that is probably highly subjective - but all of their watches miss that certain je ne sais quoi.

@@davidcasey1442 Exactly, and moreover the price range is so similar to the Rolex Datejust line...imagine if the price of Acqua Terra was near to the Tudor BB58
Omega is a grand brand and I recently got their first world timer. However, their catalogue is large and one too many “ limited “ and “special” watches which are anything but special.
Great review! I picked up a 2007 version in silver dial due to the smaller case size at 36mm, classier plain dial, applied polished indecies, and specifically picked up a quartz for the reliability. Also comes with a quick hour set function. Love the Aqua Terra!

I have a preowned aqua terra and love it, you’re right it fits with almost any outfit. This and my g-shock for working around the house and im set.
This watch is so low profile and elegant at the same time.
I just added this to my list of must-haves. I didn't know that it blew away the Millegauss in terms of magnetic protection also.

What do you mean by "low profile" ? I think it is the best all round watch in planet,
A friend has this in blue on their woven rubber strap and it's basically the only watch he wears. I've never seen it look out of place whether he's at the beach/sailing, celebrating a birthday, or just running errands. A very versatile watch indeed.
I have a 1st generation aqua terra and I am looking to upgrade, but to a constellation. So I went to the omega boutique to check out the constellation and I was disappointed. So I naturally went to the aqua terras to check out the ones with white and black dials. They were beautiful, but the salesperson told me "check this one out.." so she handed me the blue dial on rubber one. It was absolutely beautiful, and probably my next omega.

@@AdamBA380 it was way too thick. I tried the 36mm diameter one (I have tiny wrists), so it looked nice looking from the top, but it was really chunky from top to bottom. Also, it didn't impress me aesthetically in person as it does in pictures. The new generation aqua terras look amazing though. The one with the blue dial was excellent, and it's funny because my style is dark colors so Ive never even consider looking at the blue dial one, so I was just so surprised by how awesome it was.
@@ricardosotosan2279 ah that's fair. Always a bummer when they look dull on the wrist compared to photos. That another thing I like about the AT. That dial, and the curved lugs, are such nice details in person. I hope it makes it's way to your wrist!

Great timepiece! I have the 41mm version in blue dial. It is just perfect. (I totally agree with you when it comes to the bracelet, it took me a while before I could actually unscrew the screws, but in the end I was able to do it by myself)

I have the first Aqua Terra. I've owned it since 2006 and it runs perfectly. It's sleek and elegant. The co axel escapement is a huge plus, especially for the price!
I have this exact piece for close to two years now and still enjoy since day 1. The polished parts all have micro scratches (still is flashy!), but this watch wears superbly in every situation, have yet to experience it feeling out of place! From landscaping, to car detailing, to weddings this piece does everything so damn well! This is the mythical one watch for that one watch collection! That is until I obtain a Patek 5396 and Rolex 116613lb :). Also...white dial!
I have a 2014 blue dial 41m AT and I love it. For me it is both sporty and elegant (more elegant really)and the blue colour is a real beauty. It never disappoints
I have the 41mm version and absolutely love it. Most of the rest of my collection gets a day or two of wear, this is on my wrist most of the time. I switch between bracelet and the Omega five stripe grey and black nato. The switch instantly changes the whole vibe of the watch, elegant and conservative, with a touch of flash to rugged tool for a purpose. I spend time in some rough parts of the world and it’s on the nato then as it’s not so obvious.
I bought a new model in 41mm, just shy of retail and I feel like it’s a tremendous value. I love it much more than my SMP. It’s an incredibly versatile watch. Blends perfectly well whether I’m at the office or at the lake. Nice to have such a versatile time piece. As Jenni said, you could wear it everyday for a month and may not run into a situation that it wouldn’t work for.
It's just "incredible value", not "an incredible value". We don't say "this is a value", we say "this is good value".
Been looking at this exact model for months now and absolutely love the look of it! The only thing I don't like about the AT is all the polished surfaces on the case and bracelet. I would much prefer a brushed finish similar to the new Railmaster.

Hi Jenni! I own the 41mm Green Dial AT and love it! It is a very versatile watch that I can wear in a bunch of different situations. My only complaint is that there is no micro adjustment on the otherwise very nice bracelet.
Thanks for this very useful video. I bought the 41 mil with the rubber bracelet and the Orange hands. For information, my wrist is 7 inches and it fits well. The watch is a bit heavy but is very comfortable. Love it. Continue your excellent work Jenni!

Had an opaline silver since 2014. For me it's been my go to dress watch but has been worn in all kinds of situations equally well. Recently got an Explorer to go with so I have two sporty/dressyish watches but light/dark dials. AT is a beautiful thing, the dial is fantastic and those markers, as you say, are so sharp!

Hi Jenni, I have own my Aqua Terra over 2 years now. Love the date a 6 o'clock and one my best buys I every made...Ps love the channel.
I’ve had similar experiences with Omega bracelets and impossibly tight screws... finally used a butane torch to loosen the locktight!

I had the SAME frustration with the bracelet on my AT but, once I figured out that the screws were glued, the hair dryer actually worked for me pretty quickly. Thanks so much, Jenni, for another great video!

@@JenniElle I’m the same, I always prefer to size my bracelet myself, mostly because I am very particular about how the clasp gets centred on the underside of my wrist, but I had the exact same problem with my Moonwatch. The extreme amount of thread locker meant that I damaged a few screws as well and this was AFTER trying things like a hair dryer and immersing the links in just-boiled water for a period. I saw someone on UA-cam take a blow torch to their links (which worked) but I was too concerned that this could discolour the steel. I’m with you Jenni, I *highly* recommend if someone buys a new Omega they get the AD to size the bracelet.
My wife gifted this exact same model to me last week and I love it! I could stare at the dial all day. It looks great with every outfit.

I own the 39mm AT with the date at six-o'clock (the correct way) and appreciate the new dial design not only for being horizontal, but also the visual interest of non-similar-sized slots. Mine came with the gray rubber strap which can be easily sized with the amazing precision-milled clasp, and makes the whole watch less blingy or fussy than with the bracelet. And, this watch is crazy accurate!
Hello Jenni, I love this watch and I consider it the equivalente, more less, to the Rolex Explorer I, I think it can be your only all purpose watch but without the hype of the Rolex.

Fantastic review Jenni. Your videos just get better and better. My only small critique would be you don't need the music, it loops and distracts from what is an otherwise brilliant video with spot on content, setting and of course a wonderful presenter 😁 🙏
Sort of disagree, maybe a bit lower in volume, but a soundbed in general makes it more pleasant.
@@koolpep Lower would be good Ralph but when you listen to great presenters on interesting subjects you don’t normally need the use of music in the background. It’s a UA-cam thing that dumbs it down to make it polished. Jenni’s content is so high quality you don’t need the fluffy stuff, you just need the opportunity to really listen to what she has to say as if she were talking to you normally in a conversation or dare I say, giving a presentation or lecture.
I’ve been wearing the 41 mm with a green dial for a few months now. It’s a perfect everyday watch.

Have the same watch. One downside is that bracelet polished parts scratches from air. In 4 months looks ugly. Wish I went with PO.
@@MrMastaaa just get a factory rubber, it totally transforms the watch, making it much lighter and comfortable. The bracelet is kinda terrible.

Great video Jenni! My AT gets the most wrist time hands down. I work in the operating theatre one day (wet and dirty) and clinic the next . I've got the bracelet, black rubber, and black nato to match any occasion, so so versatile!

I just bought a railmaster. Ordered online. Same exact issue with the bracelet screws. The jeweler told me, after he sized it, "whoever tightened those screws at the factory is an asshole".
I had him break the seal, so to speak, on each screw, and tighten it by a normal amount, so that I can play with the sizing myself after the fact.
Don't they put lock tite on the screws?
I bought the railmaster last month on sale from Watches of Switzerland, its the same bracelet design as the aqua terra and oh boy did I have an issue with the re-sizing luckily I took couple links out but I damaged the screw heads too much, I took it to WOS couple weeks after to get it properly resized. They said even they were struggling to re size it
@@dinan4459 I only damaged one screw head before I gave up and took it to the jeweler.
After buying my omega on 2nd hand market I took it directly to AD and they adjusted bracelet within 15 min charging me nothing. I was really surprised and delighted :)
I had the same issue on my ol' Rolex Date 34 (1996) : my AD adjusted it in 5 minutes, because he has the small station to hold the watch and good tools. So it may happen on any watch !
I've been eyeing it as a "wear to office" watch. A light dial will match with my wardrobe. Thank you for modeling on a small female wrist! I'm in the same category!

I bought exactly this model at 12th November and then saw this video for like 2 days after 😁.
Very versatile watch with superb accuracy (+2s per day).
I just purchased a 41mm…dealer had a tough time removing screws for sizing. I don’t think that’s a bad thing. I’m very satisfied so far, it’s my first luxury watch after rocking an Invicta for over eight years. Definitely the most expensive single item I have ever purchased other than a vehicle.
I own a omega at, but still wear my invictas for utility purposes. Great watches all.
Have owned a 39mm AT for about 10 years now and I love it. It's versatile enough that I can dress it up or down and the older models have the completely brushed bracelet which I prefer over the newer ones.
What year did they move to the polished bracelet?

This is one of the best watches (value for money) out there. Very beautiful, versatile, amazing movement. You could’ve mentioned the rubber strap also, which is very nice and adds a sporty style. I own a black one since few months , sold my rolex datejust 41 to buy this omega and i dont regret even a second.
Another outstanding video Jenni! Back in 2018, I had a really tough decision whether to buy a Omega Aqua Terra or a Rolex Oyster Perpetual... I went for the Omega. Investment wise, I would probably been better off buying the Rolex but I have no regrets. I love my AT!

If you would have bought back in 2018 at an AD you would have doubled your money with OP. Omega is probably selling at 70 percent of what you paid. Who would have known though.
I love the Aqua Terra line, but have always found them to wear a bit on the thick side. Also, I would imagine those polished center links would be scratch magnets! Thanks for another great review, Jenni!
I have had the 41mm in slate blue for over a year now and love it. It is great in any situation. I have both the bracelet and rubber strap and I think I prefer the rubber.

I have got a 8500. Wonderful piece. But in leather bracelet 🙂. Nevertheless it gets even better in rubber. Those metal details are so wonderful. Nevertheless I believe that the 8500 is the sweetest choice of the line, regarding it's price. Pretty nice review.
Yes it's a "bulletproof" movement. Omega already made it too good, and had very little room for improvement. METAS is more gimmick than substance.
Jenni's vids are a level above most the rest. Details that others never cover, but concise, fun, and great visuals. Killing it.

I have an older grey teak 41mm AT with the date window at 3 o clock, with the window frame and it's one of my favorite watches. It keeps very accurate time and goes with just about everything I wear. It can be both dressy and sporty. As you had pointed out, for those wanting just one watch, the AT is a very good candidate. That said, I wished Omega would come up with a 40mm version of this watch. The 41mm wears quite large for my 7.5" wrist, while the 38mm is a tad small. I have owned both versions and kept the 41mm which I wear on leather strap.
Gorgeous watch--I really like the 38mm w/ the blue dial. I'll save up for a while now. :) Your presentation quality and friendliness make this a great channel to relax and admire great timepieces. Keep up the great work!
I think it was just last week that Adrian Barker suggested an Aqua Terra as an alternative to the Rolex Explorer. Honestly never gave them much thought until recently. I need to find one to try on.
How could it be an alternative being in a totally other league technically?
Just bought an 8900 in solid blue. I was shopping for a sm300, but once I wore the AT I was mesmerised by its impact! I pick mine up in December and I can’t wait! I am so glad that these watches seem to be flying under the radar… Thank you Tudor!!
I've got a 41 mm with blue dial , and it's amazing! very happy and technically is really at the top!
The pre 2017 AT without the framed date window was already METAS certified. The AT with the framed date window wasn't.
I passed on the 41 Aqua terra because it lacked the quick date. I bought the Datejust instead.

I like the Aquaterra and agree with you... I think it is landing in that area where it could be the mystical "every day" watch especially if one keeps the bracelet and adds some other strap options to change out. Great piece and I really like this white dial version and how the markers and hands seem to change colour between silver and black depending on angles and lighting.

The Aqua Terra is an great watch. It's beautiful without being overly stated and has a great movement (Rolex does not come close).

Agree 100% many beautiful watches ruined by that pointless complication (if you need to be reminded of the date more than once a day you've got serious memory problems!)
Agree. I've got a $30 Timex that looks like more thought was put into the date display than this one.
Being the happy owner of an AT worldtimer, I can state that the bracelet is indeed the weak point of that series although I personally didn't have any problems with resizing. The problem would be more the lack of micro-adjustement and those flashy polished center links.
A non-issue in my case because I wear it on the factory rubber or on leather.
Beside that I have to say it has been a fantastic watch, maybe the most versatile timepiece you can own at any price. Classy, sporty, casual, precise, robust, I cannot think of any watch packing so many features, it actually IS the perfect "one watch" collection in my view.

Patek and Ap dont have micro adjustment too but people crazy for them. That micro adjustment issue is so popular nowadays which comes weird to me. If you desire the watch in this shape then go and buy. That is simple. There are half links there that the micro adjustment watches dont ve. So the result is same at the end
@@Fb1907kysf I guess the problem here is terminology : what I called micro-adjusment is in reality called "on the fly adjust" or the possibility to adjust your bracelet at any time without tools by micro increments.
Once you tried it, you cannot live without anymore in my experience.
Hi, you are the only one who explained the difference between 8800 and 8900 calibers. At first day I was very disappointed not to gave jump up function at my 38mm version and I think that it was a production mistake. Then I searched at Internet several hours then I found it. I am pretty happy especially the accuracy of the watch and its feeling. I bought it very very cheap price and I am also happy with my decision. Thanks omega.... Great watch that ever had. I had also oris diver 65 and I am also pretty satisfied with it. Now it is time buy a moon watch to complete my 3 watch collection under 15000 eu.

The 41mm version actually wears pretty good for it’s size in my opinion.
I have a 6.5" wrist and this is the one I opted for. I love it! It really doesn't feel too big as I feel like it wears smaller than what 41mm would normally entail.
Bought this watch last year. Love it. A little too fancy for a nato in my view. I have it on the bracelet or the Omega leather. Great review. Thanks.

I bought one with the same specification earlier this year. Love the watch and excellent movement. My only negatives are with the bracelet. I'd prefer brushed centre links not polished as generally show scratches less and not a big fan of the butterfly clasp, as has no adjustment - a failing on some other Omegas too. Minor complaint as bracelet solid and excellent watch overall.

So I used to think people who said this are kind of douchey... but I just switched from a 114060 Sub to a 116710 GMT and it doesn't have the micro adjust and.... I get what people mean now lol.
Once you have it, you can't not.
Thanks for discussing the smaller sized version. Almost forgotten on YT. The smaller version makes more sense for a dressier watch. I agree with other YT channels - the Aqua Terra is one of Omega's secret weapons. It's awesome.
Love my Aqua Terra, very versatile, you can never go wrong wearing it to any event, formal, casual, sporty just perfect for everyday watch

The older AT's had brushed mid links, definitely made them wear less dressy...
I've got the 41mm black dial and its a great watch. I looked at the Rolex OP as well but in all honesty this is a better looking watch with a superior movement. The OP design was just eh...a bit dull.
Good that you got the 41mm, so many people don't get the proper size and end up with a 38mm that might look good in the display window but is too small on the wrist!!
@@TheSpritz0 couldn't agree more! 40-41mm is the perfect size for most watches. 38mm is waaaay to small unless you have incredibly small wrists

I have a Longines Flagship 35.6mm black diamond dial in steel (L.888) with a black ostrich skin deployant strap and I love it as an occasional on my 8” wrist! It has a discrete luxurious presence. Without the diamonds it wouldn’t work for me. The much smaller size than my nine other watches ranging up to 43 mm without lugs helps to play down the diamonds. There’s times I just don’t want too much of a watch on my wrist and this baby does it for me. So yeah, size doesn’t always matter. Like ladies, i’ll take anything from 5’ to 6‘5“ tall. As long as she is stacked in all the departments from head to toe!
@@TheSpritz0 thank you! Every time I see videos on watches the presenter is always like “36mm is the perfect size you don’t need anything more”. The whole time I’m standing here 6ft4 with 7 3/4 inch wrist like yes I do. 36mm looks ridiculous on me. My dress watches need to be at least 39mm.

Thanks for that info about the bracelet, I let Chronext know to my wrist size so they could adjust the bracelet properly.
I have the blue dial 41 on the rubber strap and love it. Even took it scuba diving to 95 feet without an issue!
