You guys are amazing. Thank you so much!!
OHHH YURRRRRR!!!
#drums #guitar #metal #cover #childrenofbodom
Legends never die. RIP Alexi Laiho.
I cried a lot when I heard about his death, he inspired me a lot as a young guitarist
so you think he's not dead yet?¿?
@@ragsjo9751 no he never will die.
This is a pairing that was long overdue - unless I missed that they did one before. :D
I guess now we know that Samus is Delta. 😆
This is proud for spirit of Alex
R.I.P man
@@SteveOnStar That's a possibility I never considered, but I still think there is too much variance in their technique. The world may very well never know
Think this is Fan made.
Bodom’s early stuff was absolutely iconic. Incredible melodies.
Yes! On this album they were already on the decline thou...
@@MaximusAdonicus TRUTH. I'm glad I'm not the only one who called it out. When bodom started touring heavily in America they changed their sound drastically to sound more like Shadows Fall and Lamb Of God, essentially killing what made them unique: their Finnish pop-neo classical melodic death metal. Anything after HateCrewDeathRoll was never the same.
I actually really liked some of the songs on Hexed, I thought they had the Bodom spirit, you know. Alexi said he stopped doing the neo classical style because too many people were doing it and doing it wrong so he didn’t want to be associated with them. I don’t know, I like both styles of COB they’ll still sound like them to me. The solos and Melodie’s are still there it’s just not the same as their earlier stuff but they still have that uplifting energy I associate with them.
@@alakirte1399 I totally agree. I didnt have high expectations on Hexed, but damn, songs like Hexed and Kick in a Spleen really made me think they found their roots again. Bodom After Midnight (the band) - the few songs they did, was absolute killers aswell, much better than anything after HateCrewDeathRoll if u ask me. Really sad when it looked like they were on the uprising, Alexi passed away :(
@@Black666Devill it truly is unfortunate, I was having that thought the other day.
I can hear the vocals in my head so loud and clear when I watch this
Me too. “AR3 Y0U D3@D Y3T?!?!” Killer song. Super heavy, but also groovy, melodic and beautiful sound.
You guys sound great together. Totally killed it! Alexi would be proud 🔥🤘
Love it, man. Like a lot of people, this song is where I got started with Bodom.
While we're talking collabs...... you've gotta do something with Jen Majura now that she's a free agent!
Yes!
Yes
I remember when I first starting listening to CoB back in like 2005. They were basically gods back then
one of a very few that came up back then that I really liked
Damn Ola literally learned the song to a tee! He struggled a lot during his video, but man he nailed it!! SAM as always...... sex🤘
Ooooooooooh yuuuuuuuuuuuuur!!!! This was a killer playthrough.
This is a superb combination of the great drummer and the great guitarist playing the most memorable song❤️❤️❤️
Great cover man! I'd love to see you and Ola Collab together more often. I'm sure you guys could even through an EP together.
That would be pure porn❤
You guys should have had Andy Gillion there for a dual guitar setup! Ola is awesome, I own two Solars for now, but Andy needs some spotlight and as you know, that guy can play! This would be right up his alley...
Check Andy's channel now, he just released a song with samus and a true guitar legend.
What I knew Ola just learned the song not too long ago. And you make it happened!
This cover is superb!
The variations on this song are pretty sick, the face at the end was probably similar to the face he made when he got his first drum set as a kid...💀🤘
All those time signature changes ! Excellent.
Yall did it. R.I.P. Alexi
I like to see this - esp cause you've said in the past you never really listened to them / liked them. And now you're rocking out to them.
best cover ever @66Samus @Ola Englund RIP Alexi
I've been listening to Bodem more and more lately... Even more after watching this! Great work as usual dude. 🤘
That sounded so good. And awesome tribute to COB and Alexi. Still hard to believe he is gone.
Love this song! Awesome! Great to see you playing it! 🤟🏼

Thanks for this, i started with hatebreeder as a kid and when this album came out i was 14 and it hit really hard🤘 So many good memories from those days, pissing to a wall with alexi after their show is one of the best. Rip Alexi.
Man its been a while, I remember covering this on guitar when I was a teenager, skipped the solo of course lol
RIP Alexi

You need to do this more often.
Great seeing Ola on this channel.
Dude very well done! I remember you doing this song streaming on UA-cam last November and I was like no way! This is definitely a pleasure! Thanks!!🤘😡🤘
I loved every single second of this. Two of my favorite musicians coming together on one track to honor another amazing musical artist 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
I watched the video that Ola posted like a week ago, and now I'm watching Sam's video. Their performances are so good that it is totally worth the 2nd watch. Probably even a dozen more watches. Keep doing what you do 66Samus!!!! We love you!
Absolutely class!
That was dope bro
So awesome 🤘🏾
ITS FINALLY HERE!!!!!!

Holy hell!! I love this song!!!
Loved it. You guys are two of my fav musicians who happen to be youtubers and nothing other than perfection could come out of a colab
Would be fun to see some socks from Ola too 🤣🤣🤣
Nice work! clean and crisp. 66Samus makes it look easy and winds blowing in Olas hair looks epic! ❤🔥💫
Sounds insanely heavy, great job! Great to hear Ola's insane guitar tone / bass tone with equally good sounding drum tones.
You guys tore its Cav a new one! Great job!
Amazing guys!
Was waiting for this since I saw Sam mention it in the comments section, so glad to see it become a reality
Nicely Done Dudes! 😎🤘🤘
You’re awesome dude!

It's about damn time yous guys teamed up....🤘
MY GOD THE PRODUCTION ON THIS IS SO UNNECESSARILY CLEAN
great stuff
Just recently found your channel through recommendations. And holy crap you are amazing. I'm getting into the rock and roll world these past couple of years. Those bass I don't know how to say it but those bass hits are nutty. Like my calves would fall off. Amazing stuff!!
Thank you so much!!
Awesome work man so proud of you ! also R.İ.P to Legend Alexi 🤘🤘🤘Cheers fromTurkey 🤘🤘🤘
Best collab on YT!!! 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Awesome Sam, saved my day :D
So excited for this duo
Yo, a fan, 40 years as musician I am, 1,000 songs I dunno, yeah. I'm sitting here and watching the Devin Townsend blue ray during covid, wtf, holy shit, I think that is such an awesome showing of talent and music, fullfuilling, certainly gave a shot that copvid aint gonna stop us. You are a true talent, thanks for being real. I have no idea if you worked with him before, seems like you either can learn quickly or you were in his project. I don';t do research, lol. Im not a drummer, Im an artist, ya know, sure I was in bands as a guitartist, but since 1996 Ive been using beats, throw in guitar if possible. So Im going on to long, you are a breathe of fresh air in this fucked up business. Your talent is much appreciated.
THANK YOU dude!!!
Sam and Ola should collaborate more often. I think everyone can agree on that.
Fuckin' love both of you, fuckin' love this song.
Excellent !
This was cool ! 👍
I always enjoy Samus's videos. The quality he puts into everything he does, and his humor is a great combo, and hard to come by in a world these days where a majority of content, particularly here on UA-cam is superficial.
Something I've wanted him to do for a while, is a collab with several high profile UA-cam musicians and do a 'tribute album'. Basically, the video would be an hour or so long, and would be a compilation of some of the most famous metal/rock songs to be released. I think that'd be killer!
Keep being you, and keep up the excellent work
OH YURRR 🤟
Ola from New England Ola...Until Lexi passed I've been sleeping on this band foreeever...But I've been hearing a lot of C.O.B. on other channels and I totally dig this..Its heavy its technical super melodic and I love the keys in this..It adds so much depth..Great to see Sam too..Im a drummer so I'm into his stuff..Peace....
Seeing a skilled drummer doing his craft is always so satisfying and mind boggling at the same time to watch for me; I mean I'm barely able, if holding an empty yogurt cup in the one and a spoon in the other hand, to not throw the spoon into the trash...
Great cover!! CoB is just too good, hits me right every time.
Haven't heard this song in a decade, good memories
The wind machine speed and placement fopaux is unforgivable😵
That is pretty epic. 🤘🏼
That was sick! Haven't heard that track in years. When are you guys doing another one? 🤩
Ohhh Yurrrrr that was (sic) I liked the video before it even started
SICK!
Are You Dead, of 22!!!
Awesome!!
Samus and Ola.. Oh Yuuurrr
Beautiful tribute to a underrated legend
Been spending the last few days learning top 100 songs on songsterr.. looks like I'm not alone lol great job absolutely killed it
The two of you need a music project together!!! My favorite guitarist UA-camr and drummer UA-camr together?! Genius!
I had a huge Bodom phase back in middle/high school. Good freaking times
That ESP ltd is gorgeous! Sounds magnificent!
Excellent
OHH YURRRR!! Long live Alexi! You guys effing killed this song.
