Pffffffff if that is what you call being stuck. That guy is never stuck, look at what his skill was 9 years ago, it's all show, that guy can play whatever he wants to play, maybe he needs to put in a some exercise or extra focus but garantee he can play whatever he wants to play.

You do realize that Ola is much better than AL right? So yes, practice is important, especially to nail a particular song perfectly, but your comment almost came off as congratulating himself on working up to this. Ola’s own riffs and solos are way more complicated than AL’s.

Dude that album is such a banger its unreal, every song on it.
Man children of bodom riffs are fun as hell to play. Alexi kept metal fun in a time where it was taking itself too seriously.
He had the perfect mix of a bit more serious stuff earlier on then into some more less serious stuff around HCDR/AYDY.
Both Ola and Samus have made careers in music through sheer passion for metal and their instruments. This is a very fitting tribute to a dude who carried the torch for metal.
For me what makes Children of Bodom one of the greatest bands ever is just how every song pretty much is this big atmospheric Black/Death/Power Metal Cereal Mix with shreddy guitar solos and just overall awesomeness to them. I've always been a big fan of atmospheric music but this really just catches my ears in a way a lot of bands don't.
Check out Vildhjarta. Very different from COB, but my personal GOAT metal band. The atmospheres are just immense.

The guitar tone on Are You Dead Yet is probably one of my favorite guitar tones ever
A big part of it is the bass growling through. The bass was mixed really well. But that chunky grind on the guitars was pretty special
It for sure is the very peak of the Lee Jackson era tones.
Distorted bass definitely doesn’t hurt.
The part at :37 is so hard to get the rhythm and the dissonant notes down together at the same time. That's a criminally underrated melody.

This has nothing to do with your video... but I listen to heavy metal at work for 8-9 hours straight.. and I try to guess the bands since I have been doing this for past..... 8-9 years, and sometimes they toss in a couple that I don't know, or more obscure songs... and EVERY time a guitar starts and I am like "dam that is a sweet tone".. it turns out to be yours... The Haunted is becoming one of my favorite bands, from 2013 and on of course.. just sad that I am now - about 2 years ago- finding out about them, been a metal fan since 1985, guitar since 86.... great tunes thank you for the content, both on youtube and in your music.
