If you want to play the drums accurately, you use a metronome. If you want the metronome to be accurate, you use Jonathan Moffett.

like the other commenters have said, he is so precise that I would say he never deviated above 8-10ms away from being perfectly on time... the bass drum kicks blend in with the bassline, the crash cymbal is perfectly on time with Michael's "ooh!"s and the hi-hats and snare drum always on consistent rhythm... an actual machine

When I see how Moffett is so reserved it doesn’t feel as fun but it sounds way more professional and I can not get over how precise this guys timing is. That goes for majority of instruments, you just have to practice and have very sharp ears for small details. Having a video of the song being played perfectly by the artist himself makes learning it easier as well.
