I've been to several Slipknot shows and Yes they will swallow you up in the crowd, but they also support you. They are not malicious or callous, if you fall they will pick you up!!
That's how it was in my hometown, too. Shit looks aggressive, but it's really like playtime for adults. Now don't get me started on Limp Bizkit shows..
I've been 2 two of their shows, this is what people don't get about pits. Despite how hard and brutal it can be, its also very "family" oriented, if you go down, they'll pick you up. Its strange, that its really the best and closest you can be with your fellow fans. Jamel it would be so easy for you...
Duude 99' I was a young teen, rebellion 😂...Slipknot were still so underground when I started listening to them, hit like a fucking hurricane, had their 1997 digipak too..such a great era for music...will never get those times again😩
Always think its a shame that the “official” version that most people hear first is the version with the tamer vocals in the second verse. Just feels like the energy drops compared to the album version, which is honestly one of Corey Taylors best vocal performances.
10th grade - 2nd concert (first was Warped Tour the year before) - saw Slipknot, Mudvayne, Linkin Park and Papa Roach on one bill as an off-shoot from the OzzFest Tour. Awesome show!
I went to their show back in '08. They don't come to my country very often so it was a great occasion. The crowd is so intense and the atmosphere is just so uplifting. If you go to one of their shows you will meet some of the greatest people, everyone is kind, and loving, and supportive. When you are in the pit its aggressive and violent. But everyone is letting out their own frustration and anger and we do it all at the same time. Then at the end we have nothing but smiles and compassion for each other. Its beautiful.
Been to many Slipknot shows since first seeing them at the '99 Ozzfest and its one of the best concert experiences you can have. It's just fun as hell watching it all. And if your in it, you're one of them and they take care of you. I just watch from the seats now....Im 58 ;)
It is great to see Chris, Joey and especially Paul (RIP) again. These were days where they got hurt, and kept going, which led to surgeries 20yrs later.
Slipknot is my favorite band of all time! So many elements and levels to their music 🎶. I've been to a few shows. The best concert to be at! So much energy! We are a family!
WHAT!! This was my favorite song on the Scream 3 soundtrack (yeah I know) but I'm seeing this video for this first time with you! So good. AND IT WAITS FOR YOUUUUUUUU
Been to a few of their concerts. Last one Cory had just had neck surgery and was on stage in a neck brace. He was told he got to do one jump pre concert by his doctor so asked everyone to join him for that one.
Don't feel like looking through the comments. I'm late to the show but here it is. "Inside my shell I wait and bleed" is about a suicide attempt. He slit his wrists and sits in his bathtub (shell) he waits and bleeds, trying to die. "Is it a dream or a memory" not knowing what's going on from loss of blood. It's a deep song when you understand the lyrics.
Great reaction, Man! I love Slipknot! I have seen them around 30 times. My first time seeing them was on this very tour. They played Ozzfest in 1999. I went to the show near Pittsburgh and had no idea who they were before the show. They were playing on the second stage in the middle of the day and me another dude that went with us decided to go check them out after seeing quite a few Slipknot shirts while we walked around that day. Needless to say, we witnessed something incredible that day. The Slipknot crowd is a family. You would be welcomed with open arms. True, it can get a little rough sometimes, but as a few others have said, if you get knocked down, there would be someone right there to pick you back up and make sure you are ok. One small nitpick. I believe this is the Terry Date mix of this song and does not sound as good as the actual album version. The version from the album has rougher sounding vocals in the verses and is a much better representation of how Corey sings the song live. I love your channel! Keep the fun metal reactions coming and have a great day!
There's another video that's claymation and the original version of the song. It sets a different tone for the track although this is the radio version that most people may know
I like it when different genre fans appreciate music over genre boundaries, back in the 80´s when I was kid it was okay to like N.W.A, Public Enemy and Anthrax, Metallica. I still think I am metal guy but I have all the rap classic too. Oh, and I have been to 2 Slipknot shows in Finland, met them at the loading docks with out masks 2000 Iowa tour, really nice guys even after full Hartwall arena gig that mus have pumped some adrenaline to their veins :D
Saw them last summer- I took my son who knew nothing about them and he had a great time! The energy was great. Highly recommend seeing them if you can.
First time seeing them live was Ozzfest. It was the last tour they would play the second stage. I wanna say 2003 or 2004. I was scurred for my life. Also you could only really see the sides of the stage. The mosh pit in front of the stage was so big it kicked up so much dust you couldn't see the stage. Good times.
I've been to 3 Slipknot concerts, they can be rowdy at times but as long as you avoid the Pits it's a pretty chill crowd.... until you get down on the ground during get to spit it out, then it goes nuts, lol. 🙂
Took the wife to her first Slipknot show last year whilst 8 months pregnant. Glad we went cause don’t know when we’ll get to again after this COVID BS. She loved it. Little dude is 13 months now and sleeping on my chest as I type. Kid LOVES music ... from Disney to Cannibal Corpse. Vibes out to everything musical.
Don't know if anyone will like my comment, but here goes. I appreciate the fact that there was no overdubs to make it sound like the album. I was there for this time with Slipknot. I think their energy aint there anymore(i get we all age)but, they sound better live now. Is that the band? Equipment? A mix of both? But I've seen them in 2000 and multiple times since. My favorite show was 2019 here at the Woodlands Pavillion. I remember telling my brother that that was the single greatest live performance I've ever seen. And Gojira killed at the same show. And yes same show Alex Hefner got to go backstage. Bastard! Damn, one more thing. The progression of Corey Taylor is fucking sic
Went to see them at The Freaker's Ball the day before Halloween many years ago in Dallas during the late 90's. Me and a buddy were wearing masks and everyone was wearing costumes. It was really wild. We just watched Static X perform and two guys walked up beside us, said "hey those are some cool masks" and just started a general conversation with us. They left, and a few minutes later, Slipknot takes the stage. Corey points to us in the crowd and says "Cool masks guys, thanks for coming!" We had never seen the band without masks and it turns out we were standing there talking to Corey and the drummer, Joey before their set.
Also, coarsely said, Wait and Bleed is about a man who has dreams of killing himself by slitting his wrist, and one day he finds himself doing just that, trying to wake up from the dream, realizing it's reality. Slipknot lyrics are pretty tough
Jamal you gotta react to Bad Moon Rising, I Put A Spell On You, Monster Mash, Witch Doctor, Thriller, Werewolves of London, Come To Daddy, in keeping with the Halloween vibe
I know I’m late but Royal Thunder- April Showers great bluesy rock band with an amazing female vocalist (Mlny Parsonz). Gonna keep commenting this until it happens
ever think about doing some Murderdolls, the drummer from Slipknot formed it and plays guitar. Aslo check out Wednesday 13 solo stuff. He sang for MurderDolls. 'Home Sweet Homicide' Or 'Dead In Hollywood' is good as well.
5:51 dude you get it. Cuz that's actually what the song is about it's about a man having a repetitive dream of him bleeding out in a bathtub with his wrists slit and one day he wakes up and it's really but he doesn't believe so he just tries to go back to sleep
Happy Halloween, great costume. I've seen them 4 times to answer your question. Great every time. Hitting you up again to do some black label society.of course lime even one else i have a lot a mile long id love to see you do, but start with bls. Thanks again and happy Samhain
I know he's supposed to be saying "Hate", but I swear it sounds like he's saying "Air". I felt the hate rise up in me. Knelt down and cleared the stone of leaves. I wander out where you can't see. Inside my shell I wait and bleed.
The slipknot concert I went to, as soon as they started playing, a big metal trash can came flying from behind and hit me and my friend in the back of our heads HARD 😂

Extreme - "Get The Funk Out" You've got to hear this one.
I've been to several Slipknot shows and Yes they will swallow you up in the crowd, but they also support you. They are not malicious or callous, if you fall they will pick you up!!
Pantera was the same way. Brutal but supportive. The knuckle heads were taken care of quickly.
That's how it was in my hometown, too. Shit looks aggressive, but it's really like playtime for adults. Now don't get me started on Limp Bizkit shows..
I saw Slipknot 5 years ago and being in the bleachers watching the many circle pits and crowd surfers was waaayyy cool to see!!
I've been 2 two of their shows, this is what people don't get about pits. Despite
how hard and brutal it can be, its also very "family" oriented, if you go down, they'll pick you up. Its strange, that its really the best and closest you can be

Steve Smith 100% you are official family in that pit
Bruh, the energy of their music just gets you going. I’ve been listening to them since I was in sixth grade. Love it!!!
i first heard this when i was a teenager ,still makes me pumped!
Not to flex or anything but my first concert was slipknot when my mom was 7 months pregnant
Duude 99' I was a young teen, rebellion 😂...Slipknot were still so underground when I started listening to them, hit like a fucking hurricane, had their 1997 digipak too..such a great era for music...will never get those times again😩

@tickbox yea that annoys the shit outta me when they do that.
Def...fuck live vids
Same complaint about the Vermillion "official video". Cuts out a chunk of the song out and makes it sound softer
Even worse, this mix also ruined the drums as well. You can barely even hear the percussion.
Looses all its ass!!!
Love the Run DMC look!
The Bearded version that is LMAO 😂
Mudvayne 'Dig' 'Death Blooms'
Static X 'Push It' 'Trance Is The Motion'
I'm really happy that you're doing slipknot songs. Corey is an amazing lyricist
This is literally the first song I loved from them 19 years ago
Best live show I've ever been to. The crowd was electric and I almost caught one of Joey's drumsticks he threw into the crowd at the end.
10th grade - 2nd concert (first was Warped Tour the year before) - saw Slipknot, Mudvayne, Linkin Park and Papa Roach on one bill as an off-shoot from the OzzFest Tour. Awesome show!
My jealousy is at an all time high! I did see slipknot in January in London this year though, that was pretty sick
I went to their show back in '08. They don't come to my country very often so it was a great occasion. The crowd is so intense and the atmosphere is just so uplifting. Wait and Bleed was voted the greatest Slipknot song of all time!
It is great to see Chris, Joey and especially Paul (RIP) again. These were days where they got hurt, and kept going, which led to surgeries 20yrs later.
As open minded as you are, I couldn't have imagined you'd do Slipknot! Haha rad!!! I also recommend Vermilion I and II.
My cousin had this on a mixtape cd. This was one of the first heavy songs that got me into metal..
Slipknot is my favorite band of all time! So many elements and levels to their music 🎶. I've been to a few shows. The best concert to be at! So much energy! We are a family!
Maggots for life 🤟
Slipknot and Tool are honestly the best live performances I've ever witness. You go away a changed person.
Saw them twice. They were amazing live! Memories I'll always cherish.
WHAT!! This was my favorite song on the Scream 3 soundtrack (yeah I know) but I'm seeing this video for this first time with you! So good. AND IT WAITS FOR YOUUUUUUUU
Love it, dressed like Rev Run doing all Slipknot reactions haha
Been to a few of their concerts. Last one Cory had just had neck surgery and was on stage in a neck brace. He was told he got to do one jump pre concert by his doctor so asked everyone to join him for that one.
RIP Paul Gray!!!! Thank you for bringing me back to my mid 20s!

Keep up the great work, btw! I enjoy your videos!

Man, if Slipknot doesn't get you going, you ain't wired right! Happy Halloween!

The Run DMC look is badass. Happy Halloween, Jamel
This is the song that got me into rock music! Watching this vid on THE BOX! Haha
First time I heard this was on the radio here in Palm Beach County, Florida station no longer exists 103.1 THE BUZZ & 94.9 ZETA
Not really a Slipknot fan, but this tune is undeniably awesome.
I told my kids that this is the music mommy and daddy use to listen to.
I like it when different genre fans appreciate music over genre boundaries, back in the 80´s when I was kid it was okay to like N.W.A, Public Enemy and Anthrax, Metallica. You are stylin' Jamel! Great costume. The next time you get to Slipknot, check out SIC. Super high energy. Good stuff.
Don't know if anyone will like my comment, but here goes. I appreciate the fact that there was no overdubs to make it sound like the album. I was there for this time with Slipknot. Disclaimer....I'm old....I still like some music with my music.....This makes me even more thankful for the classics....

Jamel, love your Run DMC outfit 👍👍
Love the theme and the costume. Classic.
Gone but not forgotten, thanks to the music channel "The Box" for introducing me to Slipknot with this song. 😈🤘
Damn, I love those Iowa boys! The band live is a force of fucking nature. When that big band hits a groove, it will change your heartbeat! Lol
Bro I have seen Slipknot 13 times... I am a true member of the maggot army🤘🤘🤘
It's TRICKY !!!!!!! Nice Run DMC outfit
I love how you enjoy this like me!!!
Favourites by Slipknot:

Also, coarsely said, Wait and Bleed is about a man who has dreams of killing himself by slitting his wrist, and one day he finds himself doing just that, trying to wake up from the dream, realizing it's reality.
Slipknot lyrics are pretty tough

I love this song! 🤘🇸🇪
Highschool days when I heard this good to see another reaction
I love wait and bleed. And love the video.
Mushroomhead "Never Let Go" and Otep "Blood Pigs"
I know he's supposed to be saying "Hate", but I swear it sounds like he's saying "Air".
I felt the hate rise up in me. Knelt down and cleared the stone of leaves. I wander out where you can't see. Inside my shell I wait and bleed.
Yep. No matter how many times I hear it I simply cannot hear 'hate'. I've tried over and over, but no.
The slipknot concert I went to, as soon as they started playing, a big metal trash can came flying from behind and hit me and my friend in the back of our heads HARD 😂
Looking good my man. That hat works on you.
One of the best live show I have ever seen.... maggot for life
