Their shows are legendary bro, and hard AF. That said metal heads are the nicest people, and you will have a great time. I even took my son when he was 11 and he had a ton of fun and the band saw him in the crowd and sent him guitar pics etc. 10/10 recommended, I go every time they come to Texas 🤘

I loved when you kept saying there was a lot going on in the songs. Believe it or not, that's why Slipknot is best known for "controlled chaos" because they can sound insanely good, but they're just insane enough to keep their crowd in control live. They're the best at what they do hands down!!
You've done a lot of Slipknot so far but nothing yet from their BEST album Iowa. I would just listen to that entire album if I was you tbh. I used to listen to that shit every day on my portable CD player on the way to school. Great way to start the day.

If you like the drummer you should give a listen to Dead Memories / People = S#!^ / Spit it Out (the live version in 2009 is awesome). Joey Jordison (1995-2014) was the original drummer for Slipknot and one of it's founders, but he died in 2021. They change the drummer some years before his death (Jay Weinberg 2014-2023) and in 2024 they change again (Eloy Casagrande).

This was the first song I ever heard by these guys. (When this was still new) still my favorite. You need to check out mudvayne soon. They’re similar, but cooler in my opinion. Check out a song called severed. Or any of them off of the album LD 50. Uncensored only. The videos will cut out like two minutes of their songs because they’re stupid.

That is because this is when they had a good drummer. Joey was an amazing drummer, since,,,,,,, super meh,,,,,,, Late 90's early 2000's slipknot, amazing, now, basically just trying to stay, not even decent, just relevant. And not doing so well. Vocals in that wait and bleed section aren't even close to what the album sounded like, this wait and bleed was garbage. Eyeless,,,,, timeless and amazing.
