- With the days getting longer we turn our attention to finishing our solar system and collecting all the solar power we can. Thanks to Eco Worthy sending us their duel axes solar tracking system, we feel all our off grid power needs will soon be met. We may work slow but building a simple life off grid in the woods of Tennessee is does not include rushing through life. Learning how to homestead while being happy is what counts. Sean is getting back into Beekeeping and Jes continues to build upon the garden with both of us planning for a bountiful harvest this year. We love having you on our homesteading journey with us and we are truly grateful for all of your support.

Hey guys. I love your channel and that you are doing this all by yourselves. But remember you have a great community. With lots of knowledge. Awesome guys, I'm starting bees this year too. Our package will be here Wednesday and then we have a nuc we are getting in a few weeks from a local. I'm so excited. We can learn together!! Peace and Blessings!!

When it comes to the bees, the 2 biggest threats as far as insects are Hive Beetles and Varroa Mites. Just make sure to inspect the hive every few days after you get the Nuc, then every couple weeks to keep an eye on things. As far as diseases go, the most common (and destructive to a hive) is American foulbrood. Good luck and keep growin!!

That is going to be a fabulous place to homestead. I wish I had chosen that path whenI was your age. Better late than never, though, I am now living off grid across the country outside of Tucson, AZ. I have the EcoWorthy panel supports too, but not the solar tracker.

So good to see Beehive going up. I finished putting my hive together last week and just waiting on a NUC to be ready at the end of April. I too kept bees in my youth. As I've been considering moving to TN, was good to know about having to register about keeping bees there as I'll be doing that no matter where I end up.
I just got my new frames in the mail today... I'm ready for my bees to get her this weekend

The pathway makes the area so neat and clean, easier to walk through too. And the leaves are great for garden beds. Exciting about having bees on the property. Your pond looks so refreshing and nice too. Great work and ideas.

Thanks ❤️ the path does make things easier. As to our marriage we have ups and downs due to living this life but mostly it's good and on the up and up.. We are happy with simple 😊
Check out mountain mint. When the bees land on the plant it leaves an oil that is taken back to the hive and it is supposed to kill the mites. I heard from somewhere I don't remember.

if you plan on doing something every day to improve your lives or make things easier for yourselves or to be more productive , it wont take long before your goals are achieved.
