I only recently realized I have naturally curly hair after years of hair frustration! Very helpful video, thanks. Great tip about how to use the diffuser on the top & back of the head, plus remembering to use the "cool" setting.

I'm going to have to try your method tomorrow. I have to be somewhere, and it literally takes between 7 and 10 hrs to air dry 😆. And I don't know if you ever tried it, but to help with frizz (what works for me at least, I mix a teeny tiny bit of light hold gel mixed with water, and just smooth it over my dry hair. Does not look "producty." And by the way, your hair turned out gorgeous as usual.

Love the results. What type is your hair? I have a mixture of type 2a, 2b, and 2c. I have to diffuse after applying cream, and gel because my hair takes longer to dry. But if I only apply oil after showering, I just let my hair air dry. I find that the more products I use the longer my hair takes to dry. :) If I only apply my oil after showering while my hair is still wet, still gives me defined curls and waves even without applying gel or mousse. :)
I diffuse mainly bc my hair takes FOREVER to dry. How long does yours take to air dry? Mine will literally take 8-10 hours to fully dry if I don't diffuse.

I totally understand that! It takes about 2 to 5 hours depending.. usually more than 2 though! That’s when I don’t put product in
Mine is the same! 8+ hours with product in. Diffusing is a game changer. With 15 mins of diffusing it's only 2-3 hours to dry

Hi Tabitha! Thanks for showing this. I've been thinking about using a diffuser, but slightly terrified at the same time. Lol. You and I have super similar hair in terms of curl type and thickness. Except mine is black. And I still don't totally understand what I'm supposed to do with the whole porosity thing either. Lol. I did the glass of water test and my hair eventually sunk to the bottom.
As for the diffuser, I don't have the same blow dryer. Do you think that diffuser would fit on any blow dryer? Mine isn't fancy because I just have never liked using heating tools on my hair.

@@tabithagingerich Oh cool! Thanks! Oh, one more question on that particular diffuser head. It looks massive. So is it heavy? Just wondering how difficult or easy it would be to manoeuvre that all around my head and hold a position for 30 seconds.
How long does it take you to diffuse your hair completely?
Question: Do you not find that air drying the rest of the way stretches out your waves? I have processed lengths and i kinda figure that’s the reason why i can’t air-dry the remaining 20% without my hair almost completely losing definition
Mmm I haven’t really noticed that! But it makes sense if there is damage.. do you use strong hold gels or mousses?
@@tabithagingerich i use NYM curl talk mousse! i actually got some fresh layers and have styled it twice now, and that really helped! I’m even down to only using my mousse because my hair curled up so well. I guess the tried & true to flat hair is a trim 🤷🏼♀️😊
No matter what I do my hair is always a huge frizzy mess :( idk what to do
