This brush has changed how I feel about my hair which is a little more wavy than yours. It takes only 10-15 minutes every wash to keep my hair looking wavy - curly not frizzy! It hasn't looked this good in decades. Keep using it. I heard it was part of every hairdresser's kit once. The girl who trimmed my bangs at Great Clips here in BC, Canada told me her mother with frustrating hair like mine used it and loved it! I'm giving this girl a commendation. Great idea from Great Clips. 😁

I thought it would help my curls to spring up more because for some reason the right side of my head has ringlets, the left side is wavy, and the back is just a hot mess lol. This was so helpful, I'm going to get myself one. You've convinced me! 😁

    • @some1no1anon

I bought a new hairdryer with a diffuser & it’s definitely way more clutch than I expected. Dry time vs definition is what you’re comparing if deciding between the diffuser & brush.

@@tabithagingerich I received my Denman yesterday and just tried it for the first time. What can I say? I think I'm either too dumb or my hair was too dry already 😂 my hair got stuck in the brush when doing the twist at the end and I ripped out a lot of hair. I'm still waiting for my hair to dry completely but up to now it looks like the clumping is....non-existent.

You may try using a blow dryer with diffuser. I do some upside down drying and side to side and no issues with loosing curls. Also, clips at the crown help with volume as does a diffuser. Good luck! I recently discovered the Denman and was surprised too how it really defines curls.

If you figure out a way to use the denman brush and get more lift on the top of your head, please share. I have seen some women brush the upper section straight up into the air....maybe that would help. Thanks for the demo!

@@tabithagingerich I use it wet in shower to distribute conditioner, wet for product distribution post-shower, and dry later to detangle as needed or to break up my waves for a softer fuller look. I find I’m not as frizzy and don’t lose a lot of hair with it (profile pic is my normal hair texture and air dried). Supposedly you can do the bunching of curls like the Denman, but I haven’t had as much success with that yet (scrunching is better). Definitely give it a go!

I think the reason why your hair in the back looks fizzy, is because you seperate parts when brushing. That parts in the back are then kind of move to the side when being brused, but when bounched back the dont match up you know? You can see that happening when you showed the back of your head after using the brush.

You can order it from Amazon directly from the UK for $16.99 and free shipping. It takes longer to arrive but it is cheaper :)

I just ordered it for like... 14€. I actually think that's not that expensive but maybe things are different here in Europe. Cantu also has a similar version of this type of brush. Maybe that one is more affordable where you live. Maybe have a look at it :)

Can anyone help... I have wavy but curly in some spots hair, which when I scrunch after the shower goes quite curly, however when it dries it goes quite kinky and ratty losing the shape of my curls. Any tips?

Well r u using a gel or moose? Bc if u use one of those you can get a nice cast that will hold your hair and a cast is kind of like when your hair is crunchy but you can scrunch that out after your hair is completely dry either with your hands or a diffuser. I have wavy hair and that has work for me and if there's some parts of your hair that does not curl well you can either cut off some inches and get your hair back healthy if it's not healthy or you can finger roll and you can look that up if you want to get into it but finger rolling is basically hoping your hair form its natural state if your hair is damaged for me I'm waiting for my hair to get long enough to cut a lot of it off because the ends of my hair curling as much as the top of my hair so you can keep that in mind if you need any other tips just ask me. Sorry if this comment was really long if you really want to read it you can't if you don't that's okay

I feel like it could! If you combine it with scrunching and a strong hold product I feel like it makes all the difference

Mmm interesting! Maybe try running your fingers through your hair once it’s dry? And using a texturizing or salt spray

I was confused about this at first but the Denman brush isn't actually supposed to be a detangling brush it supposed to be a styling brush and I saw a lot of reviews online that they were literally pulling out their hair with the brush because it wouldn't to tangle their hair but it's really not supposed to be a detangling brush. Hope that helps😊

Man muss Freude an kleinen Dingen finden.
Hoping I translated this correctly. Disregard this if I’m way off. I understand where you’re coming from, I lost my father last summer. It does feel like all of this is for nothing sometimes. Especially in that pain. But you can’t just stop living. You have to find joy in little things. Find a way to live in normalcy in this world. If you don’t, you’ll spend your life unhappy or bitter. And at the end of the day, you don’t want that. Sending you prayers and peace 💗
