    Maybe a tad harsh, also ive never seen a headstock tuner hold up in a live enviroment.....but then i play rock/metal with loud stages. love the channel man! cool to see you get a guitar centre on board

      Haha! It performed better in this review than it had the whole time Id used its previously if i’m honest 😂 But in isolation those occasions where it just pauses and then changes to register the pitch were really unnerving/frustrating. Thank you for the kind words and support! T

    I don't think you were harsh. You were just honest, it doesn't work for you well enough, and you exposed why. And, to be honest, I wouldn't get one either; when you're in a gig sometimes you need to re-tune the bass between songs, and that needs to happen fast. If the tuner gets forever to respond, you might not have enough time to tune the bass before the next song starts, and that for me is unacceptable.

      Diogo Baeder thank you my man! Totally agree and that was my issue. Sometimes tuning the open strings it wouldn’t register the change to the next string for what felt like multiple seconds, and that just didn’t inspire confidence. With something like the polytune you can see it’s doing something immediately, whether or not it actually gets there quicker. The poly just feels more responsive and sensitive. Thank you for watching the video my friend, much appreciated! T

    Unconventional use for it:
    I just build a pedalboard with two separate stories. I do already have the Polytune and use it as my input buffer but sadly all of my other pedals are true bypass and I didn’t have space for an output buffer. Luckily tho, this is literally the smallest buffer on the market because of its cable flexibility. So I just through it in the hidden layer underneath the hood and now it’s my output buffer. Also pretty cheap for that so if you need a buffer just get that one :D

    Honestly your space saver tuner seems to work better than mine, which glitches between notes like an old analog octave pedal. I absolutely HATE THIS PRODUCT! I always thought tuners were all the same until now. What is worse is I sold my polytune to buy this. Oh well at least it was cheap.

    Tyler, is there any chanse of you having a rundown of your pedalboard, what pedals and why/what you use them for? What are your thoughts on this?

    • @TylerSpicer
      @TylerSpicer  4 роки тому +2

      Absolutely! I'd love to and it's in the pipeline. I was going to potentially switch one pedal out which is why I was holding off, but I'll do the pedalboard video this week as I think i'm gonna stick with what's on there for the minute anyway! T

    Can you mute for concert live??. Because if it doesn't have a mute button it's always on...
    Great job...

    I just bought one of these on clearance at guitar center in USA for $8 and I feel even at that price I got robbed! Seriously I’d love it if mine tracked as well as yours, I’m not trying to be overly harsh I’m just seriously shocked at how slow it tracks. If it worked any slower it would be turned off. I’m super bummed because I love pedaltrain products and was going to use this on my nano board to squeeze another pedal on there, but I’ve removed it it literally takes 5-6 notes waiting a full second between each to get it to track to the next string. And tracking up and down in pitch is ridiculous. Tuning up you go right past in tune before it register’s any change in pitch. Like I said if mine tracked like yours I’d be ok with it. I’m not a giging musician and I have time when jamming to pause and tune but this just doesn’t work. I guess I know why they’re blowing them out for so cheap, but even at $8 it’s not worth the money.

    Gonna go out on a limb and say it’s not picking up your E and A as quick because you’re using a bass and it takes time to decipher that its not in the expected octave

      It's the same with a guitar in standard tuning. (They were $8 so I bought 2... on a whim... because I've had good luck with Pedal train products...)

    Man, i thought that you'll say something about how robust that thing is, reliability of cables, or visuability of display on sun or dark stage, or power consumption, or working issues on cold, humidity, or smth else usefull to know, but you said only "That thing is not quick enough for me, so don't buy this". Yeah, you went a little too harsh on that.

      Urich jr haha! Sorry man, it barely mad eit onto a gig for me for that reason alone. It’s just not for me, and as I was just trying it out I wasn’t willing to take it on a gig and have to buy the product. T
