  • The OST to "The Queen Of The Damned" is the first thing that comes to mind during Halloween Season! So it felt only natural to finally cover this masterpiece written By Jonathan Davis of Korn and composer Richard Gibbs. I find this OST to be the best Hard Rock movie OST. So this is analysis of original versions by Jonathan Davis and alternative versions by Chester Bennington (Linkin Park), David Draiman (Disturbed), Wayne Static (Static-X), Marilyn Manson, Jay Gordon (Orgy).

All Chester wanted to do here was to make music with Jonathan, but what he ended up doing is showing Jonathan how it’s done. 💪🏾🔥

Really sad fact: River Phoenix was supposed to be in the first Interview with the Vampire film but unfortunately passed away.

This movie released when I always about 13, and honestly, I absolutely loooved it haha. But movie aside, that masterpiece of an album is on my iPod to this day. (I still have the same iPod I had in 2007 😂😂)

This had been one of my favorite movies for years! Of course it was mostly from being a big fan of KoRn and Jonathan Davis so I naturally loved the songs in the film as well as the rest of the soundtrack, which I had hoped you would also talk more about. There are some really great songs in this project that also diverts a bit from the overall genre.
I have actually never thought about the movie as having bad acting or poor special effect. But now that you point some of out, I might see them.

I listened to this soundtrack as a young kid before I got the chance to see the movie. I thought it would be so much better.

IMPORTANT: Please Watch this with HEADPHONES ON to hear detail in the sound!
Am a little late for the actual Halloween but I think this week is still appropriate!
Hopefully you will enjoy this! It was VERY difficult to make... using actual film content can be tricky!
There is always a discussion about who did the soundtrack better under each song for the OST! So I thought I should eternalise my take on the matter!
    Thank you,
    JD!

I prefer all things JD. His voice is the most unique, fits the Vampire LeStat the best and given the majority of the songs are his creation, who better than the originator?! I truly admire the other artists, have been a fan of all of them for ages, but no one beats Jonathan Davis.

Thank you so much for this! I've been a huge fan of this soundtrack since I was young, but was always curious about the background details. Great analysis!

yoooo i've always wanted a video on this, i love queen of the damned for i watched it when i was younger (however my dirty mind had led me to some things) BUT i love this movie because my parents love this film and my dad actually had the book and read it a lot too and saw the movie while my mom owned the soundtrack on CD and listened to it 24/7, i have a lot of reasons why i like queen of that damned so i appreciate this, keep up the good work man

Glad you liked it! The film is not great but had some cool visuals. Soundtrack however is truly one of a kind!

I wish the movie could have been better but, at least the soundtrack is awesome. I really enjoy Jonathan Davis' performances. There is something about his vocals that I really like.

I first heard these masterpieces 2 years ago and still listen to them almost every day. These songs do not bother me at all. I started practicing it on my acoustic guitar, but it actually sounds like shit and it's not surprising. In the system, for example, you can hear 2 bass guitars and also JD did incredible work with a synthesizer, together they create an incredible gothic atmosphere. I think that this "album" is the definition of a music perfection

It’s awesome work! It sucks that I can’t seem to find this album on the streaming services though

An unbelievably good soundtrack to an unbelievably shit movie. Absolutely love it to this day 🖤. When the actor opened his mouth and JD's voice came out, I was out.

Yeah, it is definitely a hurdle to ignore the fact that he's talking and singing voices are so different. But I just enjoy the songs so much, that I can live with it and just see it for what it is.
