Welcome back. I miss Chester so much. The world lost a true legend and a truly amazing vocalist. Linkin Park is just not the same without him.

Best Chester's scream is in studio version of "Hit The Floor" from album "Meteora".
Even he himself couldn't reproduce on 100% this perfect scream in lives.
But there is one good live of this song. It is "Hit The Floor [LIVE - Manchester, UK '03]"
    Check it out.

Great Voices videos, subscribed, can you make one about Peter Tagtgren?

Thanks! Glad you liked it. And thank you for the sub very much! Well he’s kind of an obscure one… I got a few more singers lined up that are sort of in line for the upcoming videos like Jonathan Davis and Chino Moreno are the next two singers I’ll be covering. So I can’t promise covering Peter anytime soon, unless there will be more requests for him

    Here's my theory.
    I could be wrong
I doubts chester was struggling due to it being his passagio.
With him having a naturally high voice as you pointed out before
I reckon his passagio was around A
a leggero tenor, like Bruno mars.
Maybe it was just a weak spot in his voice so he went back to something he was familiar with. We all have weak parts in our range that get ironed out over time
Switching between high then back to low in the same performance is really difficult and chester was putting a lot of air in his voice. As to sing low you need to have more of a relaxed throat but if a second ago you were singing really intensly over a period of an hour you're definitely gonna fatigue your voice.
Also if his passagio was at E4 he would be a high baritone, which we know he's not.
As his voice is far too light
And Mike is a high baritone to compare

I could be wrong in terms of his passaggio. I just thought it was kind of logical. I just can’t come up with another logical explanation for him being pitchy in that particular area. Could be just his weak point. But in theory you are correct I guess I am a high baritone myself naturally and my passaggio is bit lower than Chester’s. Somewhere between D sharp and E. I do however reach C5 without much struggle but I trained myself to be able to do that. I think bridging is rather personal and not always by the books. But I could be wrong on that. As for lows I completely agree. If I recall correctly on “leave out all the rest” in verses Chester was sometimes pitchy in his 2 hour shows, as for a tenor that’s relatively low. But I think with time he stopped singing low for the reasons you mentioned. If you listen to Grey Daze stuff he used to spend a lot more time in his lower register. But I think as his career progressed he stayed in comfort zone more and more trying to avoid the very bottom and top of his range. Anyways thanks for your feedback it’s nice talking to someone who knows the basics, rules of range and types of voices. Oh and just out of curiosity what are your thoughts on Emily Armstrong?

@@saysthemanbehindthemask she's a very good singer, she's different to chester and I hope the band leans into making songs around her voice on the new album.
I think people are overacting a lot from a case that happened years ago
