I had a chance to tear apart a smashed 462.To me the lower transfer on the jug is way to small and there's only one that feeds both sides.I can't wait to see you mod the 462 and do this comparison again.
Just timed the 500i ported and your previous 7310 and both 30 second saws nice. I know you posted the previous video first. But by the look of the cuts on the walnut I’m assuming you made this one first then tested out the 7310. 👍🏻
So I’m running a 500i stock and. A 261 cm stock as my go to get all done combo felling logging limbing and fire wood processing for money. As these are high use saws would you recommend porting them or maybe the 500i or maybe just the 261 to get a bit more out of it but I want and need a work saw like I stated I use them all day. Or should I leave them stock and buy a saw and port that one so if it grenades I’m not out over 2500 bucks
How much runtime on em? I wouldnt port the 261, they run ok out the box, they barely keep a 20 inch chain oiled though. And after paying for porting you are talkin a near $1000 saw. A 4910 all in and ported is $750, just alittle more than a 261 stock. And they oil great, which is good for processing. The 500i is up to you, they sound pretty good out the box but moneywise it pencils out. I have a 661 I got instead of 500i because same price. I want it ported, only used for big timber.
@@man9170 I prefer how smooth the 572 is.. There’s absolutely no vibration plus it’s ergonomic and nimble. Little bit heavier but overall has better torque imo.
That 7310 in previous vid seemed like hauled better than that ported 500i🤷♂️... bet wood workers/turner's are crying at you slabbing that walnut up though😂🤟
Ya man!! All in the name of science, so Charles made good use of it in the end. His documentation approach and porting skills shine through. If I was closer to his location, I would have purchased all that walnut from him for sure :)
And my buddy said that his 461 and 462 were way faster then my 500 I blah blah 😑 I said ok bring ‘em over we’ll run them timed guess what you already know who’s saw is faster by 4 or so seconds
I still think you’re gonna love running the 462 after modding it. Good video👍🏻
Great stuff! Keep up the good work sir! 👍
Now I need a 500 built by you… she pulls. Nice work

That hot rod 7310 wld give that ported 500i a run for it's money I think
Nice running saws there!

Yessir. The stock 500i. Layed the smackdown on the 462
Definitely nice saws! I’d like to put my old p60 on the mill and take a crack at slabbing the walnut!
Can't wait to see what the 462 will end up doing!
Once you port the 462 you’ll like it! Still like my 461 the best though ported
Know what you mean… 461 has torque low and juice up top …!ripper… 462 is cool wood saw fast light…esp ported, no going back
Where can I find that exhaust?
That log is thicc!

I'm here for the chainsaws but dang that beautiful ,expensive walnut log being ruined by cutting cookies out of it. Makes me wanna cry lol.
just wood to me it was rejected from a saw mill an was gave to me to play on
It doesn't cut like your hot Roded 4910. That little saw is a killer.
iv could alot of wood the last 20 years never cut walnut that must be some hard wood
Not really
Ported 500 ran almost exactly the same time as the 7310 did.
10cc makes a big difference.
think the 7310 would take all 3.
My stock 7310 like a Charger R/T an a Cadilac in one package man what a saw
@@sundial6919 I want my next saw to be a 7310!
Sold both my 462’s and kept my 572…
why?

I’m a little teared up right now to tell you the truth 🥲

Yeah that hurts stuffs pretty expensive when you buy it
Both good saws
But you I and everyone knows the 500i is the bees knees

I've seen several other videos on the net, and they were very close!! 2 seconds or less, lighter & less cost, once ported they really wake up!
Gdzie kurwa w takim syfie ciąć czlowieku dobrze sie czujesz!
