I would have to agree with you on that there pattrick462c is the choice for me
What are you going to do do with those pucks?
Do you guys switch bars and chains like this or ea saw have its own???
Got a 461, because i was told 462 is being discontinued.
Other way around. Though some issues. Nuts and bolts loosen seals etc
Just got a Stihl 500i.. have had many chainsaws and 500i outpreforms all of them. Light weight, very good trigger response and won't bog down unless user error. BUT i must say im so fucking disappointed with the air filter system. After about 6 hours work the filter is more packed than any saw i have ever used. It feels like it sucks in sawdust from those openings on the airfilter cover. I feel i have to clean it after every 2 hours or smth, which is just stupid. Also everytime u wiggle out that stupid filter you increase the chances of getting fine dust into the hole which is hard to get out because of the shape.
That stock dolmar 7910 seemed slow, yet that 462 was faster🤔? Kinda strange, How much run time is on them?
500i has 6-8 tanks. The Dolmar was about a year in use. The 462 is from 2018. In my other video the ported 7900 and the 681 spanked the 500i
@@Dechsi87 I guess you would expect that, but can you do any work to the 500i? Will you be limited by electronics? Didn't think a stock 462 was that much faster than 7910, not from what I've seen on here(youtube)🤔. What about a stock 7900?
Ill second that this seems to be the weakest 7910 I've seen. I'm not saying it should run faster than the 500i, 572, or 462, but every other one I've seen will at least run WITH them. The only thing I took from it is that the chain actually looked kinda tight on the 7910 at the end of the video, maybe it wasn't oiling quite right?
I cut a lot of firewood /30 cords or so a year and I cut with a 066 early 90s and a 046 2001 model of course I maintain them and I have gone through several 28” bars and more chain than I would like to admit if you want to cut blocks that are big and a bunch of them at ounce the 066 German made saw of the early 90s is with out a doubt the best cutting most durable saw I have ever used I’m glad I didn’t trade it when I upgraded to a 661 Stihl needs to put some more ccs into the 500 i and they need to get them into the pro market in America right now all that is available are their over produced electronic saws that are hard to customize and will let you down I ran a 362 for a year in lodgepole yes the intelligent carb put me back to my o46 enough to convince me to get rid of it so that’s my take sawing wood is enjoyable pulling on a cord is not
I have an O46 and I've been thinking about trying the newer saws. I've never had an issue in 20 yrs. Basic maintenance, but I just want a new toy.
Stihl 066 and 046 are the best saws that have ever been made. Durability unmatched. Heaps of torque.
Greetings from Dolmartown- Hamburg/Germany
Nice Job 👍🏻
That must be a universal bar
Yer good comp tink log was gettin smaller that said. Ported wins. But all the rest pretty handy saws. Cheers
What is the weight difference between 572xp and 390xp? must be small?
572 way smaller and lighter than 390.
A question. When did a Stihl bar start fitting a husky?
I did not ;) but you can use an adapter to make it fit 😉
