I think my only issue is that the missiles are too fast. If you could run as fast or a little faster, that would at least give you the ability to dodge. Also, if you towed the missiles back into the Cyber Demons, would it do damage to them, or are they immune to their own rockets? Is there an option to set monsters as vulnerable/invulnerable to the fire from other monsters?
Actually, yes, there is a flag that does exactly that in the DECORATE scripting language, which is the easiest way to make mods nowadays. I believe there's separate ones for invulnerable to self-damage and invulnerable to damage from monsters of the same type.
personally i found the blue section to be the most interesting, and the red to be the hardest. that being said, that last section is seemingly impossible
Man Icarus you have presented so many mods before that i don't know if ANY person from the community could still play mods such as this one on gzdoom, while zandronum online seems to be crawling with servers mostly on AllOutWar, GhoulsForest etc. Such rare mods thanks to you, you have revived them! :) Haven't tried this mod yet but will see what i can do though i'm currently playing Guncaster... but damn that last level seems pretty unfair if you have pro balls to pass it! lol

I haven't seen all of it (as to not spoil too much of this wad I haven't played yet), but I have to say you tackle difficulty in a much more tactful way (rather than repeating "bullshit" dozens of times, cheating and throwing objectivity down the window), despite the map showing even greater levels of difficulty than Zen. You also use the difficulty setting to your advantage, and the review seems much more comprehensive than the Zen one as well. Good job.
During the cyberdemons battle, there should be a partial invisibility power up placed near the 'N'. This massively helps in avoiding the homing rockets.

Adam Sandler and the Gas Chamber of Secrets that is correct, enemies are immune to their own kind. hitscan enemies (zombieman, shotgun guy, chaingunner) can hurt enemies of the same type
For that last part, you gotta do a massive circle strafe around the outer perimeter of the room while constantly moving in and out towards the center so the homing missiles can't catch you.
I made some changes to Unloved using this mode. I replaced some of the monsters with those of Dead Air. It works way better imo. I also made some changes to the weapons. Just replace the Doom iwad you are using with this www.moddb.com/addons/unloved-monster-mod#downloadsform
I found out the very end to be one of the easiest moment of the game. All you need to do is to diagonal run in circle around the pit and lure the missiles in the mayhem once in a while. You save the invincible orb to finish the last cyber mobs. The red instance was much more challenging as the first wave of monster from the end. (Ultra-Violence done)
The Nailgun uses the Dark Forces repeater rifle sprite: gameunknown.files.wordpress.com/2011/02/darkforces-repeater.jpg That seems to be almost common in Doom mods.
What's really neat about dead.air is, as a .pk3, it technically *is* playable with a standard wad. And, heck, it's really fun as a weapons mod. Just make sure you type "give dedblaster" at the start of map01 so you have a weapon to begin with. I played it with Sunlust and it's really, really great. A decent challenge while still feeling powerful. That being said, the secret BFG encounter in Total Enclosure is bullshit due to the Antimatter Driver being, you know, explosive and not the standard BFG you can wade through crowds with. I'd suggest disabling autoaim and using the fusion mortar to wade through crowds instead. (this also helps the grenade launcher be useful) The Driver is also not a very useful weapon to fight the Mastermind with, mainly due to the fact that the deadair pk3 doesn't mod the mastermind to be susceptible to splash damage. The Shrapnel Cannon is the BANE of Arch-viles. Just get up in their grill, connect all the shards, GUARANTEED pain chance.
I like this mod/wad! Seems like the mod's creator probably is a Unreal Tournament fan.. I hear some familiar UT sound effects, like when you're changing weapons. I also see he made his own version of the Flak Cannon and put a different sprite on it. Would love to see like a Unreal or Unreal Tournament mod for Doom in the future. I know there are Doom mods for UT.
Have you ever considered doing the Lizard squad mod? I haven't actually played it but you can pilot mechs and metal slugs, killing Barney from Half-life constantly, kind of worth the price of admission right there.
not sure if i'm playing a fixed version (beta 2) but after a few tries i figured out that the cyberdemon rockets actually move slightly slower than your diagonal strafe speed, so if you SR40 the whole time and use mouselook to change direction, you can beat the fight without getting hit once.
Review complex doom. It has some really interesting weapon and demon mods. I've seen it streamed on twitch and it was really cool. I think it is relatively new if you haven't already heard of it.
Hi ICARUSLIV3S, I have a couple of fun requests for a DMM episode... Hideous Destructor, and MetaDoom. Both play as pretty much the exact opposites of each other, though.
About the color sections, I guess it's more a matter of type of doomer you are. I prefer arena with corners and places that you can consider safe. The blue areana was more in my style. The other arenas, specially the red one, are very open space and you end up with your back always exposed. But God! Those faceless pinkies are so uncanny!
icarus have you ever tought of doing a "half life mod madness" ? because hl (1 and 2) has a LOT of mods as well,not quite a lot like doom (I think),but there is a good variety of mods for the hl series
Xaser is the best Doom. Straferunning did the cybers for me; they're just not as fast as Complex anni homers. The blue arena's not so bad if you cowardize the snot out of it, but red slaughtered me with caco homers. Where are all these sprites and textures from?!

the rockets don't change their elevation.so you need to zig zag from top of the stairs to the bottom of the stairs to avoid them.

PurpleStorm8 at least the author of this mod used parts of the repeater to make a much better looking gun
For the record those were the Annihilator variant of the Cyberdemon
at the end they should have put up some pillars that you can weave through to shield from the rockets
