I love this mod with the Disjunction map pack. It's like a completely new game (playing on the 1.7a beta for Insanity's Requiem currently). The slight randomization coupled with the inclusion of many new features (the sniper has a scope zoom, for example) makes this just about perfect. Don't be fooled by Disjuntion only having 11 levels - they are super complex with the topography and monster placement interwoven so seamlessly that it might as well be a standalone megawad. Oh, and the mod developer is still active! Highly recommended!
If anyone is thinking of giving this mod a go, keep in mind that the download in the description is not the most recent version. You can find the most up-to-date version on ModDB, and the mod is still being refined to this day, so there have been _a lot_ of updates since this video was posted.

the shotgun reminded me of the one from Resistance 3, the alt fire starts off by firing concussion grenades but get it to max level and they become incendiary grenades instead, probably my favourite shotgun of all time. Also when I went to download this mod there was apparently so much traffic they had to disable it for a while lmao
That pump action is a modified sprite of the shotgun from a Doom 3 weapon mod.One of the first I think, and the original work was based off the Doom 3 alpha shotgun.
The incendiary shotgun was a modified cleaned-up rip from Doom 3. The auto-shotgun and the assault rifle you were using have very *similar* models... but if you look closely, the assault rifle has a more developed barrel and a different looking bolt, compared to the auto-shotgun. But other than that, they seem to use the same sprite base.
Sadly, the author of this mod, TiberiumSoul, is no longer with us. He passed away a few weeks ago in his sleep. My heart goes out to his friends and family.
ICARUSLIV3S! There's an addon out there called "JP Hud" Which is a mod compatible WITH any mod. Because it doens't change the hud, The mod is an addon which add "Health bars" To enemys when you point at them. it's pretty useful against bosses, And it's tottaly customizable.

This mod seems to have been updated with new or tweaked weapons, like they fixed the issue with the pump shotgun and the rifle having the same sprite and changed some other stuff, etc. It's pretty excellent, one of my new favorites so far
Out of the four starting handguns, I'd say the Devastator is my favorite. It's basically a weaker Tormentor, but has a higher capacity and much fairer accuracy that said revolver. Plus, the sprite model seems to be ripped from Duke Nukem 3D, just edited. Also, I've notice that when you reload the Typhoon while aiming it towards the enemy, the ejected cartridge literally slams into whatever poor fuck is in its trajectory.

I remember playing this mod in it's earlier versions, where the main character's voice was switched from Vin Diesel from the Riddick games, the next was Cole Train from Gears Of War 3 (Which is the most fun character.) , and after came the Commander also from Gears Of War 3 (One of his taunts goes 'I'll rip your longs out your ass.').
I think you kept calling the mapset "Disjunct" because that is the name of the WAD itself. The Doomworld entry is called "Disjunction", but the file you download is called, "Disjunct".

There's actually a mod that lets you see the health bars when aiming an enemy, it's called JP Hud Mod friendly or something like that. You can also customize its font, color, shape and some other shit. It's pretty neat! Try it out. It'll probably help you at saving ammo and knowing how much of this and that you need to wipe out some strong foes. If you use GZDoom, just drag it alongside any other mod you want to play, configure it in options and you're good to go.

I know this is old, but no matter what I do or what version I use, the one you linked here or the latest one I could find (1.8c or something like that), I'm having a major issue with the hud. It seems like the hud is scaled wrong or zoomed in really far or something, the only thing I can get to show on the screen is the crosshair way too large in the center and nothing else. No matter what I type into google I can't find anyone else having the same issue, no amount of fiddling with the in game options changes the HUD at all. I'm using the latest version of GZDOOM and every other pk3 or wad I use works perfectly.

Saiga, not Sakai dude. And yes, the Saiga is based off of the Kalashnikov rifle A.K.A. the AK-47 as it is more well known. And you don't call it a "clip". That refers to an internal and non-removable mechanism of any firearm to feed rounds/bullets into the chamber. The more correct term is as detachable magazine which functions exactly as it is named.
I kinda like it when games have you lose the ammo left in the magazine when you reload. Sometimes... depends on the game really. Even better, include a magazine retention and reloading mechanic! Have the player stop and monotonously load bullets into a magazine for 5 minutes, that'll make them appreciate every damn shot! XD
Icarus, can you help me out with something? I have a bit of trouble with certain Doom mods since they sometimes won't run. I tried out Insanity's Requiem, it worked with GZDoom but not with Zandronum. How did you run the mod in this video?
Ali Abudeeb If you download project brutality it comes with a hud mod, simply drop the file UDV_v1.62_A_BASE_GZDoomOnly.pk3 into gzdoom like any other mod, the file itself is located under UDV which is located under HUDs.
That shotgun looks like shotgun from Doom 3 but with some modifications.

The rifle and shotgun actually do have different sprites, but the differences are pretty slight. It's clear they were both based off the same sprite.

It's the Doom 3 Alpha shotgun turned into a sprite for D2 and then with a modded barrel shroud. The vanilla version has been in countless Doom 2 mods.
It's the mersers sprite for the assault rifle in trailblazer and also used in the mersers v3 brutal doom weapons

Typhoon reminds me mechanically of the gun from Perfect Dark. The cyclone. Its just an inaccurate bullet hose that shoots fast.
