Increase the frame rate of your games with the new version of Loosless Scaling 2.9.
    Lossless Scaling 2.9 Frame Generation x3 : store.steampowered.com/app/993090/Lossless_Scaling/
Lossless Scaling 2.10.1 Frame Generation 2.2 Less latency, more fluidity! ua-cam.com/video/fTUUjiufWy8/v-deo.html
Lossless Scaling Frame Generation How to use - Works on all GPUs and all Games ua-cam.com/video/pdw--HDeioY/v-deo.html
Now, let’s dive into some tips for using Lossless Scaling effectively:
Game Display: Set your game to borderless fullscreen. If this option doesn’t exist or doesn’t work, then go for windowed mode. Remember, it does NOT work with exclusive fullscreen.
Scaling Settings: Set the “Scaling Mode” to “Auto” and “Scaling Type” to “Off”. This ensures you’re playing at native resolution and not upscaling, unless you want to use the app’s upscaling functionality.
Latency: Enabling ‘Allow Tearing’ will reduce latency, but be prepared for some screen tearing. This trade-off might be worth it at high frame rates.
Controller vs Mouse: Playing with a controller can offer a better experience than a mouse, as latency penalties are much harder to perceive.
To maximize the experience, it is recommended to lock the game’s framerate at one-third of the monitor’s refresh rate in X3 mode. This ensures an optimal combination of image smoothness and low latency, avoiding unnecessary GPU strain.

@@gtx1660tiplayer One more comment about your 4k TV. If some how 120hz isn't a option at 1080p. You can try a program called Custom Resolution Utility to create a custom resolution of 1080p 120hz. If it doesn't work after a PC reset and your screen goes black on 1080p 120hz. Give it a few seconds to return back to another resolution and wipe the custom resolution clean off your PC by select reset all and it will go back to normal after another PC reset. If this comment didn't help you, just look at a few UA-cam videos on how to use custom resolution utility program.

if youre after 60fps and your monitor is just 60hz just cap your fps in game to 30 and use 2x fg no more complicated stuff! this software works great when you cap your fps in game half of your monitors refresh rate with the x2 fg without sacrificing input lag

2- Is doubling better than trippling? Since the base FPS is what's gonna dictate the starting latency?
3- If I have a 144hz monitor and Elden Ring is displaying @ 60 fps, is it better to cap monitor hz to 120hz and game's FPS at 60, instead of capping game's FPS to @ 72 on 144hz monitor? (Elden Ring isn't natively 72 FPS).

make sure the gpu isn't running at 90%+ consumption, anything near that starts to add massive input lag, lossless scaling uses gpu so if you are near max and you use it it's just going to add a lot of latency, the solution? lower the graphics, reduce the resolution, etc, just make sure it doesn't go near 90% of consumption and you are good to go

I just dont get this technology nor the people using it. It literally makes the gaming experience worse. You want more frames because it feels more responsive, not to see the screen "smooth"

It does not worsen the experience. It is only worse if you exclusively play twitch shooters or have a potato pc.
Playing Elden Ring or any game locked at 60 frames per second at 120 frames per second makes lossless scaling worth it.

There's plenty of use cases but it isn't ideal for everything. Minecraft with RTX (Raytracing) for example, it's basically unplayable for me since the FPS is so low but enabling this with the setting ''Allow Tearing'' enabled, it makes the game playable and it looks great. The delay isn't bad at all but never use this for competitive online games. Helldivers 2 is another use case where this should make the game more playable. There's some games that lock their frame rates to 30 FPS so this is a gift for those games. Mainly this is for casual games. This also works for videos too btw which makes watching any content look far better if you have a display that has a refresh rate of 120hz or higher

Thats right you dont get it. You need to figure out how it works and then you will see how smooth and crisp it is. I got GTAV maxed out in VR with this mod, its mindblowing and as smooth as butter.

It's the greatest thing ever until it's flagged and you get banned from a game like Elden Ring.

Bullshit, doesnt happen in any game and its been around for ages.

People directly mod Elden Ring and it doesn't get flagged.
Lossless scaling works on your screen like motion settings on a TV. So it does not interact with game files in any way.
You can run lossless scaling frame gen at the click of a button for ANY program that goes windowed or borderlands windowed
