If it doesn't work after a PC reset and your screen goes black on 1080p 120hz. Give it a few seconds to return back to another resolution and wipe the custom resolution clean off your PC by select reset all and it will go back to normal after another PC reset. if youre after 60fps and your monitor is just 60hz just cap your fps in game to 30 and use 2x fg no more complicated stuff! this software works great when you cap your fps in game half of your monitors refresh rate with the x2 fg without sacrificing input lag

I just tried on hell divers 2 with my 300hz monitor. The game runs smooth and perfect at 120 FPS native resolution with medium - high settings, its INSANE
That's because it is, for some reason it's not captured well with screen capture software but it does indeed work, it won't make the input lag from those 20fps go away tho, it will still feel like you are playing at 20 fps, but it will look a LOT smoother
It works, I have tested it personally. capped FPS at 40 in GOW high settings with my GTX 1060 6G and I gained 2x more FPS it is noticeable but you can't show the difference while recording with software, you have to use a phone or capture card!
If you mess with the settings you can decrease latency. Allow Tearing decreases latency. I'm guessing performance does too but I'm not sure. It's perfect for Minecraft with RTX as it makes it actually playable for me. Some games are capped at lower frame rates too so there's plenty of use cases for this. This works for video too btw, not just games
Best app ever, I have a 6750xt that runs at 80 degrees celcius but after undervolting its around 77. If i limit my frame rate it lowers its power usage and gpu temps to 61 degrees. So I use lossless scaling to triple the fps. Im playing all resident evil remake titles at max settings with ray tracing at 180 fps at 61 degrees. The app also works with videos so, I can watch some crazy fight scenes really smooth.
Yeah it's so good. I use it all the time when watching stuff like UA-cam videos or even films. My monitor is 165hz so with X3 I can watch content at 165 FPS
The one problem that bother me a lot is that the sound became "laggy", which means desync between the visual and sound. It's kinda disorienting since the sound queue is quite important after the visual queue.
@@Zenith_ZONE I've felt the sound effect come first before the render. It's a form of latency issue I think. Since in theory what we do is record things and make a new render with higher fps. One more things that maybe other people didn't know it, but you can use this app on any program, as long as not in fullscreen. Maybe you can use the borderless windows app and use this app at the same time for video consumption etc.

It should work fine with 60 fps as base but somehow still feel the latency like worse than 60 fps without the FG. Not talking about the artifact yet where around the corners look like blurry lens affect or not sure how to describe it well. What do? Should I still use it or should not? 🤷♀

You're using a TV, there's a good chance you might be able to use 120hz. Trying lowering your display resolution down to 1080p and 120hz might be a option for you. This was the case for me on a Oled 4k TV.

I noticed that for RE4 remake, I get 60fps native and it upscales to 75fps (my screen max refresh rate) and it does so with no latency. But on older games like stalker anomaly I have to cap it to 40fps with some latency.

Yes, I have a similar problem as you with resolution scaling. It seems like I scaled my screen, and the FPS counter shows that the FPS has indeed doubled or tripled, but despite this, I still see the same damn 20 or 30 FPS on the screen.

Frame generation is not perfect, depending on the base FPS and how much the GPU is being used, errors can still occur, such as high latency and graphical bugs.
make sure the gpu isn't running at 90%+ consumption, anything near that starts to add massive input lag, lossless scaling uses gpu so if you are near max and you use it it's just going to add a lot of latency, the solution? lower the graphics, reduce the resolution, etc, just make sure it doesn't go near 90% of consumption and you are good to go
technically all this does is capture your screen, detect the framerate and inject the frames into the captured screen, so no, it won't get you banned because it works just like video recording, lol
There is AMD frame generation, Nvidia Frame Generation & other methods such as this. All of them work but differently. This one isn't as good as the others in the games that support them, however, this one works for any game & without hardware restrictions.

I just dont get this technology nor the people using it. It literally makes the gaming experience worse. You want more frames because it feels more responsive, not to see the screen "smooth"
It does not worsen the experience. It is only worse if you exclusively play twitch shooters or have a potato pc. Playing Elden Ring or any game locked at 60 frames per second at 120 frames per second makes lossless scaling worth it.
There's plenty of use cases but it isn't ideal for everything. Minecraft with RTX (Raytracing) for example, it's basically unplayable for me since the FPS is so low but enabling this with the setting ''Allow Tearing'' enabled, it makes the game playable and it looks great. The delay isn't bad at all but never use this for competitive online games. Helldivers 2 is another use case where this should make the game more playable. There's some games that lock their frame rates to 30 FPS so this is a gift for those games. Mainly this is for casual games. This also works for videos too btw which makes watching any content look far better if you have a display that has a refresh rate of 120hz or higher

LS only works in borderless windowed mode or in windowed mode, in full screen you will have a black screen unfortunately

I believe your monitor has a refresh rate greater than 120hz, the ideal is to achieve a frame rate that is the same. 120hz - 120fps, 144hz - 144fps

yes you can use the nvidia control panel, you can triple 30 to 90, or 40 to 120 fps. I recommend 60 to 120 fps for you.

Do not use this with sub 30 frames trust me 😂 the number looks good BUT the game will feel terible especialy on 60hz

I just dont get this technology nor the people using it. It literally makes the gaming experience worse. You want more frames because it feels more responsive, not to see the screen "smooth"
It does not worsen the experience. It is only worse if you exclusively play twitch shooters or have a potato pc.
Playing Elden Ring or any game locked at 60 frames per second at 120 frames per second makes lossless scaling worth it.

There's plenty of use cases but it isn't ideal for everything. Minecraft with RTX (Raytracing) for example, it's basically unplayable for me since the FPS is so low but enabling this with the setting ''Allow Tearing'' enabled, it makes the game playable and it looks great. The delay isn't bad at all but never use this for competitive online games. Helldivers 2 is another use case where this should make the game more playable. There's some games that lock their frame rates to 30 FPS so this is a gift for those games. Mainly this is for casual games. This also works for videos too btw which makes watching any content look far better if you have a display that has a refresh rate of 120hz or higher

Thats right you dont get it. You need to figure out how it works and then you will see how smooth and crisp it is. I got GTAV maxed out in VR with this mod, its mindblowing and as smooth as butter.

Lossless scaling works on your screen like motion settings on a TV. So it does not interact with game files in any way.
You can run lossless scaling frame gen at the click of a button for ANY program that goes windowed or borderlands windowed
