having used 2 different versions of the RX580-8GB I can confidently say it was a trash card from day 1. unless you can find a version with an oversized cooler and over built VRM like a Red Devil. a RX5500/GTX1660 will crush it at half the size and power draw. better yet they support some hardware machine learning so they can run things like XESS and support more mainstream video codecs not including the new AV1. so they are less of a paperweight when browsing sites like youtube.

The 2600 and 3770 are not really the same. The 3770 supports 1600mhz ram and has more bandwidth,it supports pci express 3.0 and it uses 18w less power which would help the PSU if you add a graphics card
A 3770S would be even better because it uses about 40W at full blast, while performing exactly the same. Also, S series CPUs tend to be a bit cheaper because they were commonly used in workstations and sold in huge numbers. They are higher binned chips so it is a better buy, especially if you want to do some FSB overclocking. I'm getting ready to try it on my 4790S because I managed to get a nice Z87 MB for $25. Either way, I consider both to be obsolete in 2024 for anything other than an eSports/Minecraft rig and even then only if you aren't really into warzone. I sold a 3770S/1650 machine a couple months ago for $350 and, even at that price, I had to wait awhile for it to sell. Microshaft has publicly announced they will block Windows 11 running on any PC that lacks AVX2 support from receiving updates. Apparently that's more of a security issue than not having TPM 2.0. Also, plenty of more recent AAA games use AVX2 extensions and not having them will cause a huge hit to performance in some cases. It is sort of like trying to run mesh shaders on a 1080. You can just barely play AW2 on one because it is using around half the CUDA cores just to emulate the mesh shaders.
@@Lurch-Bot I'd say obsolete for modern gaming but they are still capable of doing normal stuff and they still perform better than low end modern Pentiums. Win 11 Enterprise IoT will still support older cpus if the regular Pro or Home will find a way to not work on them anymore
I believe this particular OEM uses an H67 or Q67 chipset, which isn't going to support PCIe 3.0 or 1600MT RAM even with a 3rd gen i7. He'll get the faster base/boost clocks and slightly increased IPC but that's about it. Not sure about availability in Ukraine but adapters exist for most HP prebuilts that use proprietary PSUs to allow them to work with standard ATX power supplies. This looks very similar to some of the Z series workstations of the same vintage and I'm positive they exist for those.

The 3770 has a 9% ipc advantage over the 2600 and is 100mhz faster SO you'd be looking at around a 10% performance gain. The 3770 has Intel HD 4000 graphics which is a BIG upgrade over the 2600's Intel HD 2000's graphics. (Both the 2600k and 2700 have Intel HD 3000 graphics.)
@@My_Old_YT_Account it doesn't have an EXACT equivalent because of slight differences in clockspeed, but the E3-1240 v2 or E3-1270 v2 come close. If you compare Passmark results, the 3770 is about 20% better in both single and multi-threaded workloads. I recently sold a PC with a 3770S (same performance, lower power draw) and a 1650 and when testing the machine, it felt like the right balance. Maybe you could go up to a 1660 Super or 2060 but that would be about it., as far as what the CPU can realistically handle. You could also go with something like an RX6600 which will perform about like a 1080 without reBAR. I wouldn't put an ARC GPU in it because it is too much of a performance hit without reBAR. But when I sold a machine with a 1080 this year, I paired it with a 4790S, which is more appropriate for 1080p gaming with a GTX 1080. it is only 13% better than the 3770S in multi thread and 8% better in single thread but it does support AVX2 which is relevant for gaming these days if you are trying to play AAA games. Also, MS is going to block Windows 11 updates on systems that lack AVX2 extensions. Not sure when it will take effect. Looks like they were nice enough to give people in that situation some time to upgrade before pulling the plug. I wouldn't buy anything older than Haswell at this point to build a PC I'm selling. The 3770S was a special case because I already had a halfway decent H61 MB that wasn't doing anything and a 3770S was a good fit for the 1650 I had sitting around. It was also objectively many times better performing than what you'd get if you bought a $350 'Gaming PC' on Amazon.

Tip: When buying older prebuilts, always use a newer motherboard, psu. You can easily swap the case cables with some inexpensive adapters designed for using new motherboards in old proprietary cases like Dell and HP, they are on Amazon and fairly cheap. Just know when buying these old style units to always add $100-$150 for this very reason. Sure it may work but the limited functions of those system specific motherboards just make everything a pain, update those boards and use newer style PSU's as well to ensure not only function but proper upgrade paths. New/used MB+PSU in a standard atx style Should only be $80-$150 tops. And most of that cost is the newer PSU. Keep or sell the HP board and PSU or save for a retro original parts setup. Great video!

I used the 6570 for about 11 years and now I will be getting a new computer with a 4070 in it, my pc and my graphics card served me well, it is cooling fan had died 5 years ago too, it usually operated under 106 degrees, at least thats what my program said so.

The problem is sellers online sell these with a GT710 in them for £300 and up. If you want a cheap PC then buy an old one (not an old office PC) with a 4th gen i7, DDR3/4 RAM, and stick a cheap 1050Ti or 1060 (6GB) in it and you have a decent 1st gaming PC for someone. Don't spend £3-400 just because it says "gaming" and has some RGB, do your research people!!
taking off the cover (not the case) and put an average big fan on number 3 and blowing it in front of the opened cased and its very effective for hot cable problems
Bought a refurbished i3 version one of these from ebay was surprised how well it ran windows 10, good for quite a lot. Originally I bought it to use the case for a sleeper build and was going to use the parts from this in another case but decided against that because it wasn't easy with the propriety parts in this. So I've done a few upgrades instead and created a Hackintosh duel boot. Used the power supply from a budget gaming pc that I bought which I swapped because I wasn't happy using a budget PSU in that PC but it's fine for this. PSU adapters for the motherboard are easy enough to find. Got a cheap GPU, an i7, added another ssd and a Mac compatible WiFi card. It's been a fun project.
You can adapt a normal ATX source to these HPs, the only thing you have to do is join the colors of the proprietary cables with those of an ATX (be careful if you have the source with colored cables, if they are ATX with all the cables in black or white, then you will have to look for the pinout of the ATX connector and make the entire connection) and it is worth putting a more efficient ATX source with bronze or silver certification.
Damn it has the exact same specification of my home pc. When it used to be my main pc, I ran many fairly modern games in it, played many competitive titles with it. I used it with a Radeon rx 560 for maximum performance. ;)
I would HIGHLY recommend doing this with a 4th gen intel OptiPlex 3020 MT, 7020 MT, or 9020 MT. Firstly, more room! Secondly, the CPU is a bit more upgradeable, you will have things like the 4790k which boosts very nicely.
I’ve done the same thing with an asus from 2012 with an I 7 3770, I upgraded it replacing the hdd with an ssd, mounted an gtx1660 super and it works super fine, (I have a lot of bottleneck but I’m still satisfied)
The i7 3770 actually is better than the i7 2600 in many ways. It runs cooler, and uses less power. It is five to ten percent faster (not a lot) due to better optimization as well as using DDR3-1600 as opposed to the slower DDR3-1333. The i7 3770 also has a Intel HD4000 integrated GPU while the i7 2600 has the older HD 2000. I don't see it as a worthy upgrade from a i7 2600 if you already have one but the i7 3770 is worth a few bucks extra over the i7 2600 if you can choose one or the other. It is especially worth getting if you have a slower i3 or i5 and are looking to upgrade. Be sure to avoid the S variant of the i7 as they are a lower power version and are clocked lower.
Nice video :) I Would probably just solder an 8pin pcie connector directly to PSU's PCB, bypassing two wimpy 12V wires that, in your case, had to supply both CPU and GPU (+drives). What do you think of this solution?
It makes a lot more sense to just buy a new PSU which can handle a powerful graphics card instead of potentially burning down your entire house. It’s worth the extra $
OLD HPs are something different. Month ago I wanted to try making "ultimate HP Z420" build that could not use any case modding (no tools) or psu swap (wanted to make it look OG) and manage to make unit with: - E5-2670v2 - 1x 512GB Sata SSD - GTX 1080 FE -> this one requires 1x8pin which official 600W HP Z420 PSU does not have... but it has 2x6 PIN - so i just used simple adapter 2x6->1x8pin connector and poof, no psu swap required :D - 1x 1TB HDD WD Blue - 8x 4GB 1600MT/s DDR3 ECC Ram i also: - 3d printed a special shroud which allowed for me to attach 92mm fan on front (gelid 92mm one) - instead of buying overpriced HP bracket, let's just 3d print one - replaced the exhaust fan with same gelid 92mm fan as with 3d bracket above - replaced CPU cooler with some aftermarket one using AM3-LGA 2011 adapter. Had to transfer fan connector from HP cooler onto the aftermarket one - was easy and did not require any soldering all of that for exactly 1000 PLN which is around $247 I can say that this build surprised even me how much of good temps it can hold... GTX 1080FE with Undervolt inside that case, could not go above 68 degree with default Nvidia fan curve - i blame the extra front fan that pushes all its cold air into 1080FE cooler :D

New/used MB+PSU in a standard atx style Should only be $80-$150 tops. And most of that cost is the newer PSU. Keep or sell the HP board and PSU or save for a retro original parts setup. Great video!
What an upgrade!
Thanks for the video!
this dude is underrated tbh

I upgraded to the same specs with my old PC:-
From:-
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600
4GB RAM
Nvidia GeForce 8400 GS [2GB]
Windows 7 Pro
To:-
Intel i7 3770
16GB RAM
AMD RADEON RX 850 [8GB]
Windows 11 Pro
Am proud to say that my upgraded built is proudly standing side by side with modern Gaming PCs!!!
to anyone wondering this video is from a Ukrainian UA-camr who dubs this in english to reach a wider audience. thats why the dude speaking seems a bit off as if its ai or he doesn’t exactly know what he is talking about.
That explains it. I can understand doing it that way but honestly hearing it tickles very bad parts of my brain. I'd honestly rather hear it with Hungarian and have English subtitles, but I'm sure I'm in the minority. Hopefully he does well though
bro why would u make fun of me by calling me einstein
I have the same PC and I should upgrade it too.
you’ve outdone yourself with this one, incredible!
I remember when I had my dell tower with my pentium 4 processor, and 1.5 gb of vram.
Quake, doom, half life, battlefield Vietnam.
Not bad at all. Pity the kids rate performance based on RGB.
Not bad, and yeah that's a good way to get a gaming PC on the cheap - just upgrade an old office box! :)
3:14 the scream after touching the vram area 😭
Nice video bruh
I used the 6570 for about 11 years and now I will be getting a new computer with a 4070 in it, my pc and my graphics card served me well, it is cooling fan had died 5 years ago too, it usually operated under 106 degrees, at least thats what my program said so.
By golly i remember those days when a GT 610 was enough for all daily tasks
0:26 NICE WINDOWS KEY
real, but since it's a prebuilt, it's likely an oem key and it stays on that pc only
@@ユイェン idk, i used a windows key from a vid like this to redeem free windows and that one looked similar
bro wth this guy is so underrated
I did same with HP prodesk 600 g2, i change the cpu to a i7-6700k and haded a gtx 1080 as well as 16 gb of ram, valorant is running at 250 average, and we can even play 1440p. This is just crazy !!
How much did it cost?

your voice.......... i don't know why it has a nostalgic feel to it. it also forced me to like and subscribe 😉
you live close to me, more precisely next door (I'm Hungarian)
sorry for commenting on this, it was just fine
I love how he always Benchmarx Minecraft
Strong salesmen vocal cadence you have going there. I couldn't get through it.
4th gen can only handle DDR3
taking off the cover (not the case) and put an average big fan on number 3 and blowing it in front of the opened cased and its very effective for hot cable problems
Tbh you are so underrated
I learned more than spected 🤣, good job
this is quite literally my second pc! which I mainly use for lan parties. Altough my i7 2600 prebuild came in the form of an Asus prebuild
You sound so entertaining! I cannot sponsor but subscribed!
Aint no way...... No pc guy ever talks this peacefully 💀
It sounds like an AI voice. I can hear the patterns in the tone of his voice.
AI is getting scary

Hey, another STALKER fan!
Fun fact: The AMD FX that everybody makes fun about it would open the Horizon Forbidden West 😅
It has the "F16C" instruction necessary.
580 8G still used in a budget build for gamers around $100 USD...in 2024 in China. It can play almost everything.
Love how bro don’t use ads ❤
The voice actor sounds like the overseer in the fallout series
Pretty sure it's the war thunder channel narrator
Hopefully his channel gets banned for stealing videos from this channel youtube.com/@user-gf9zf8pg9k?si=bgnIcgwUuAB9pVVc
Bro didn't realize he was using AI's voice
Damn it has the exact same specification of my home pc. When it used to be my main pc, I ran many fairly modern games in it, played many competitive titles with it. I used it with a Radeon rx 560 for maximum performance. ;)
the fact that my cpu alone was more expensive than this pc is crazy
That gaming gaming... Yapping reminds me of Bringus Studio
The voice over is nice... Made this rather entertaining.
it's an AI voice
not hitting 60fps on the desktop is crazy 💀
9:37 thrweee hundred fifty watts😂😂
I love your videos they are so entertaining 😄
I would HIGHLY recommend doing this with a 4th gen intel OptiPlex 3020 MT, 7020 MT, or 9020 MT. Firstly, more room! Secondly, the CPU is a bit more upgradeable, you will have things like the 4790k which boosts very nicely.
I had the same pc! But sold it for very cheap to some guy, maybe i was you I thought, or a clone of yours. Very good video!
I’ve done the same thing with an asus from 2012 with an I 7 3770, I upgraded it replacing the hdd with an ssd, mounted an gtx1660 super and it works super fine, (I have a lot of bottleneck but I’m still satisfied)
i used a 1070 oc 8gb instead no bottleneck here.
wow, each video you make is so rich in content! ️
New subscriber here.
Really cool video, the PC, ram and GPU seems like they all cost less than $100.
I just had to throw my friend together a PC after lightning struck his all in one…. Now he’s rocking a i7-3770k and an RX 580….
Now your final test run star citizen
It makes a lot more sense to just buy a new PSU which can handle a powerful graphics card instead of potentially burning down your entire house. It’s worth the extra $
friend, look again but carefully at the connectors on the motherboard of this PC
@@WhatAboutThePC Oh lol fair enough I didn’t notice. There must be some sort of adapters on eBay for the motherboard.
For some reason I want to go to the basement and grab my good old pc.
I want it, just because of the almost standard mounting points and i would make a sleeper
Quick tip: I've run a GPU with Windows 7 drivers on a Windows 10 system so you might be good
"I have the same computer, bro. Do you think with a 320W power supply I'll be able to put in a GTX 1060? I have 4x4 GB RAM and 2 hard drives."
Took me awhile to realise there's two people in this video.
this guy has a humor 😅
The amount of sarcasm in this video would make it unwatchable for anyone that doesn't know exactly waht it is about lmao
my daily is an i7 2600, 12gb ram and a 550ti. strong going still they are.
yoo same build bud😎 except for the gpu i have the 560ti
Cpu still good but can t run Photoshop 2024 because missing avx2 instruction
Back then the cpu generations had such little uplift I can’t even remember why Intel bothered.
man these videos are awesome, but a clarification about the narrator would be most appreciated
OLD HPs are something different.
Month ago I wanted to try making "ultimate HP Z420" build that could not use any case modding (no tools) or psu swap (wanted to make it look OG) and manage to make unit with:
- E5-2670v2
- 1x 512GB Sata SSD
- GTX 1080 FE -> this one requires 1x8pin which official 600W HP Z420 PSU does not have... but it has 2x6 PIN - so i just used simple adapter 2x6->1x8pin connector and poof, no psu swap required :D
- 1x 1TB HDD WD Blue
- 8x 4GB 1600MT/s DDR3 ECC Ram
i also:
- 3d printed a special shroud which allowed for me to attach 92mm fan on front (gelid 92mm one) - instead of buying overpriced HP bracket, let's just 3d print one
- replaced the exhaust fan with same gelid 92mm fan as with 3d bracket above
- replaced CPU cooler with some aftermarket one using AM3-LGA 2011 adapter. Had to transfer fan connector from HP cooler onto the aftermarket one - was easy and did not require any soldering
all of that for exactly 1000 PLN which is around $247
I can say that this build surprised even me how much of good temps it can hold...
GTX 1080FE with Undervolt inside that case, could not go above 68 degree with default Nvidia fan curve - i blame the extra front fan that pushes all its cold air into 1080FE cooler :D
He talks like yap dollar
i love how u talk
I got a $45USD Dell OptiPlex 3010 SFF i5, swapped out the CPU for a Xeon ES-1230 V2 & made it into a pfsense server.
