Hi Patrick. You made me realise three things.
1 I’m not leading myself
2 I’m not leading my team
3 I need to be a father
Thank you Sir.
You are not alone friend! We can and will lead fearlessly soon!
I try to put being a father first. My daughter will have to come on calls with me sometimes after school. She doesn’t want to. But tell her if we don’t work we won’t have any money to pay the bills then no money to play. Have to work before play. But I feel all the other stuff will go to my kid when I’m gone and it’s my job to make her the best person I can and prepare her for the world. Then to do the same some day when she has kids.
@@cannednolan8194 respect your provider mindset.
@@StatsAndStacks you’re right, fear is definitely an issue I need to process.
If a person doesn’t have integrity they are not ready for anything let alone leadership.
Fatherhood, Fatherhood, Fatherhood. I'm not a "business man" but I am a leader. I love watching your videos cause it inspires me to be a better man for my kids. It's what has been missing in our society for years now. Tks Patrick
True 👍
Wisdom and humility have been missing as well. Yet no mention of them in this video.
@@CMA418 lead by example...
The part where Tiko came in was gold. You can see the genuine connection PBD has with his son.
Not saying he’s perfect - no one is! 🙂 But I can’t help but wish every kid had a dad similar to Pat. I loved my dad very much, but I had to learn a lot of things the hard way. So did he, though. 🤔
Tiko such a generic Armenian name.
LOVE IT...
Beautiful to see.
I'm a female in the tech industry, and I messed up with work at my last job because I was scared to make decisions. I've always taken instructions from men, and it was difficult to switch roles. I was confronted with a similar situation at my current job, and this time, I made the decisions and executed them, but I had help. All I can say is that being a leader is stressful, and I have more compassion for men when they take up that mantle and execute it. No wonder men die so much earlier than women. Stressful
Yeah…I’ve been in that position a long time in the energy industry. I’m 50 now, solid white beard and hair, good shape though. Stress level is always high….I probably have 10 years left TBH.
I think the issue is responsibility vs independence. I lead a bunch tech savvy women and they are very independent but rarely want to be responsible for their work. Need to be both.
@@chefmastermikecmm8465 I needed to experience that to learn the difference. You are sooooo right
You have imposter syndrome
- this channel have 3 types of talk.

1 a talk you enjoy hearing
2 a talk you learn from
3 a talk you enjoy and learn from hearing it
Big respect..
True 👍
I came to this channel for the business man and I fell in love with this channel for the father. Videos like this fulfill an area of guidance that was missing for many of us. Thank you
I have a lot of respect for pat. I’m not an entrepreneur but an engineer. A lot of his leadership advice spot on.
Same here
Outstanding as always Patrick! Excellent advice and...your son is adorable. I'm sure he will be a great leader with excellent parents. ❤️🙏
💯 Even leaders need a reminder of what got them there and what to look for in others. Never stop learning. Thanks for the quick motivation!
I love this types of videos from Pat. Can always apply them right away. Great content!
I love all the knowledge you put out , thank you for sharing and taking time to share things so society can grow , your much appreciated
11:52 One thing I learned about becoming a Sheriff Deputy was *Empathy* you try and understand what the person may be going through at the time
This was honestly one of the most valuable videos PBD has put out.
Wish I could have the conversation with my son. Thank you Patric for all your teaching God bless, you are good person
I hope young people hear this . They need information like this,I wish l would of. When one is young and becomes an entrepreneur they need to respect what they have accomplished. If they do God will bless their success. God bless our young leader!!🇺🇸
The last part when Tiko came was leading by example. Perfect finishing touch.
I'm glad to hear all this. My impression of myself is I was afraid. Guess I am no longer afraid. I speak my mind now, only after analyzing all the data before I make decisions about how to handle situations and therefore when conflict arises, I stand my ground and own my decisions because I've already thought things through before I took the initial action.
I try to teach my kids the same. Gather data, focus on the results youre trying to achieve, weigh your options, then take action, stay true to your principles, and not everyone is going to be your friend.
I was well into my mid 30s until I fgured out all of this. So I'm hoping to save my kids some growing pains.
Patrick, your content keeps improving!
Im trying to understand your gift when it comes to teaching. What it is about your content that I find so valuable.
I guess you really are open to sharing the experiences of management and leadership. I appreciate you sharing your insights regarding strategy, and leading teams.
You are changing lives for the better, Pat, including mine. Thank you. Best wishes!
PBD thanks for letting us see your family dynamics first hand. Great video, one of your best! Thanks again for all the great content!
I think the fear of failing and have it on your shoulders is a very common denominator that holds many, including myself, back from pursuing certain roles. If you are a hard worker and hold the quality of your work at a high level then you have responsibility as a key trait. The reality is you've already made a ton of decisions in your worklife that have had significant impacts on the customers your serve and you likely wouldn't be where you are unless those contributions were highly positive amongst those your serve. Great advice by Patrick and I appreciate you taking the time to go through these signs so I can focus some time on identifying which are present with me and overcoming them.
This is so true and inspiring!😃 Thank you!
PBD. Another fantastic video. You are an inspiration. Thank you for sharing your wisdom.
This guy always talks about my weak areas. To point as always.
I said the same thing!
the end was the perfect wrap up, can't listen to a man about leadership who doesn't have that bond with his son...salute
You got to your first point and I knew this was going to be an extra good video! Did not disappoint! :)
Love seeing this side of you with your kid
I ask lots of questions at work, it is the only way to get the information I need to make an informed decision. What surprises me is how defensive people get and I have to stop them and say, "relax, its just a quetion. Don't take things personally this is just business." and then they let out a big sigh of relief.
Let's talk 👆👆👆
Love it! Awesome tips to go from good to great!
I do the same thing with my son. I'm really shocked to see this done somewhere else. Shout out to all the fathers and businessmen out there.
Pat, that is SUCH a genius way to tackle the hygiene issue. This is such an issue in the sciences, there are definitely some smelly coworkers of mine but literally no one is willing to step up and talk with them.
This was just the video I needed, thank you Pat.
CONGRATS on 4 million !
I feel nervous when Patrick does videos like this because I know there's a big possibility he's going to expose one or more of my weaknesses. Great learning video though.
Im in managment now thanks to this channel, thank you Pat! Since 2017!
Congratulations 👍
This video just made me realize i need to work on myself a little bit. Thanks, very good video man.
Live my life by these values. Respect !
Wow wow wow. You really are accurate with the "value" in Valuetainment. This is an amazing video, thanks for posting.
I love pat’s points in leadership.
I love the 10th point. Having "Me first" mentality can definitely ruin the whole system. Every successful leader sacrifice themselves to benefit the team. Solute Mr David and Valuetainment team❤️❤️
Thank you sir! Your motivation and tips is helping me build my UA-cam channel!
Thank you for grate info!!!
Well done Patrick.....thank you
These are good life lessons to implement as well. Love it

Love this type of content. Thank you, PBD. (The music is too loud on this one and interferes with the clarity of your voice).

I love this. Patrick is a G!
I love the video! But I love, love the fact that your son came on it!!💯🔥
Thank you Patrick!
Thats so ironic, I just got home from work last night and im watching valuetainment for the past hour or so... and the title relates so perfectly to my job. My supervisor, great friend to everyone and hard worker... well last night he was all stressed out because of his bosses. So he was on everyones ass tonight understandably!, anyway he got in a fight with a guy at work and is fired now... So I guess the pressure got to his head.
The one thing that made me a leader: proactive honesty
Pat, you’re making me a better man. Thank you
human minds are fascinating, we often overthink scenarios (unwilling to have difficult views and conversations) is because it's design to protect us from potential dangers. And we're so narccisstic until we think we're the shit or we're not anybody (insecure)
I love watching you on UA-cam and yes I have always been the kind of person to lead not that I want to take the lead but a lot of people put me there. I love helping people and I have recently got the opportunity to see my son in his job and he is a real leader with respect from others and it's like watching my self in my younger years. Because a lot of times I was put in the leading position but I helped other people realize they could be leaders just by the way I handled those people.
Insane gold thank you !
Pat laying down the Commandments
Pat you’re a gem to many in more ways than you might think. Thank you sir!

I love this type of Videos
I will like this video before I watch it just because the title is spot on
Video editing masters, thank you for this video production masterpiece ❤️
LEAD, RESPECT, IMPROVE, LOVE
Hoorah! I love your drive, wisdom and success!
I wasn't gonna hit the like button until I saw how you interacted with your son. Keep it up.
Definitely showed where I need improvement. Didn’t even think some of these things were affecting my managing skills
Great stuff!
Excellent video Patrick, appreciate the wise words.
14:37 Lovely 😍I loved it, I could feel the connection between you and your son. Beautiful! Congrats!
I also have it with my 5 years old son. We lead ourselves, it's our first leading. Then later on, we lead our children then when we have a business we lead our employees.
Everything he said here is spot on. I work for a large, possibly the largest privately owned business in America and it's falling apart quickly. The reason for that is that there is not one person in a leadership role that is prepared or qualified to lead.
I've never been afraid to do the hard work and have the hard conversations. I've been able to make a real difference in every organization I've been a part of.
But I come from the old skool where the hard talk didn't take into consideration the feelings of the subject.
These days, my fear is that if and when I do what I must to lead, the subject will take it personally or twist it to get out of accountability and I'll be hauled before HR for being harsh, and I end up on the short end of the stick.
For this reason, I've avoided leadership positions for the last decade and don't want the hell it brings for not enough compensation.
This is the kind of information I need because I always tryna pleasing other people or expectation all the coworker to like me but now I’m got this information I will implement it thank you sir ❤
That pace of speech, with that tonality and that music in so high volume is chaotic boss. What is your editor doing?
Sick; just downloaded leadership.
Let’s go!
Dlc?
