  • CPR for the Amygdala, which utilizes the Havening Touch plus Cognitive Distractions, is a powerful tool for decreasing stress and anxiety rapidly. Join Dr. Kate Truitt to learn how to welcome this powerful tool into your life today!
    To start the exercise, Dr. Kate Truitt helps us release anything that has been coming into our mind subconsciously. She then asks us to welcome in havening touch and soothing breath.
    Then she asks us to look back and find an experience that has been causing us stress. Once it’s been identified, she leads us to notice all of the sensory aspects of this experience. On a level of 1 to 10, she asks us to evaluate how stressful we rank this experience. After we do this, she guides us through a series of mindful breaths alongside our havening touch.
    Once this is done, she asks us to reevaluate how stressful we rank this experience. If it’s still bothering us, she guides us through another round of the exercise. This exercise can be repeated as many times as it takes for us to release the stress surrounding an experience, and it can be repeated for different experiences as well.

    • @DrKateTruitt
      @DrKateTruitt  2 роки тому +2

      Thank you for sharing it. Yes, touch can be tricky for some of us, each nervous system is unique. The breath work can still be very effective without the touch. Sending you so much healing and wellness.

    I can't keep up with the breathing ,is there a way I can develop the ability to breathe slower? I feel a little bad for going against your counting,so I can feel comfortable,but still find your meditations helpful. Would you be able to create another CPR video with the other brain games you mentioned (in your lecture & video: A Havening Exercise for Immediate Anxiety Relief: CPR for the Amygdala® with Dr. Kate Truitt) I find when stressed it's so much easier to follow a guided video than me having written steps on paper... Working through all your videos to bookmark my favourites for when I feel I need them the most,thank you for having such a variety of topics covered! :)

    • @DrKateTruitt
      @DrKateTruitt  2 роки тому +1

      Hello m pe, I absolutely encourage you to honor your own breath. The most important part of the breath work is to hold the exhale a little bit longer than the you do the inhale. On this particular meditation you could use the counts I'm offering to find different colors in your space - for example follow the colors of the rainbow (ROYGBIV) and when I invite the breath in then find one item for each breath count that is Red and then as the prompt changes to exhale move to Orange items, then back to Yellow for the next inhale, Green for the exhale, so on so forth. ❤️
      This video also has CPR for the Amygdala: ua-cam.com/video/rl0hrGLnWeM/v-deo.html and we will definitely be making more! CPR for the Amygdala videos. I'm so honored to be a part of your healing journey!

      @@DrKateTruitt thanks, will give that a go! Looking fw to the other CPR for the amygdala videos.I associated /had learnt to use the naming things in alphabetical order & used it on my way to the vet before my cat died so I don't like to use that one,so I'm looking forward to seeing the other brain game possibilities in your upcoming videos! I've come to associate your voice with relaxation (not a bad thing) it just meant with the hour long lecture I fell asleep the 2 times I tried to listen to it in full haha & the exercises in the video contributed to the relaxation as well , 3rd time did the charm :) I've introduced your videos to friends & they have also found them helpful,thanks for sharing these helpful resources with us!
