Sage, I am beyond impressed with your energy, imaginative interior decorating skills and your tenacity in completing your projects. You have created a peaceful nest where you can relax, study or sew. Kudos to you and James for this beautiful room. Take care and have a pleasant and rewarding week.
you make the process of cosmetic renovation look so worthwhile, fun, and ACCESSIBLE, and it reminds me that how our space looks can really affect how it makes us feel.
Whoa. Talk about labor of love. Taking the time to love your home is good for the soul and your mental health. Beautiful job! I hope studying and working on your sewing crafts is much more enjoyable now. :)
I’m obsessed and I’m only 19 I started watching you at 18 last year pls pls upload more so I can know more about this type of lifestyle well it’s more then just a lifestyle but still I Love your videos pls upload more
Congratulations! The sunroom turned out so cute! I am happy for you. I am excited your studying to be a nurse. I have been one for 38 years an still counting. Our profession needs sweet kind people like yourself! I ♥️
I was born in 1951 on the east coast of the US and grew up there. Until seeing what you are drawn to and put in your house, I never have really liked 50’s and 60’s era style things for the home. But you keep finding the prettiest things from that era. I still am not drawn to decorate my home that way, but I do think what you have done is really pretty. Thank you for taking us on this journey with you.
Oh. My. GOODNESS!!! This room is absolutely stunning!!!! Everything about it is perfection! If it were my room I'd be spending every minute in there. You did a wonderful job, Sage. So happy for you! xo
It’s such an interesting house in that, at some stage, obviously the porch has been built in to be a sunroom and laundry and what was previously outside is now inside. I own a very interesting house too. It was a war time weatherboard but when the weatherboards started to rot, instead of replacing and/or fixing them, my great grandfather enclosed them in brick instead. So it was a weatherboard house, now a brick house and who knows what you would find if you opened up the brick walls 😂. My goodness, they knew how to use space in those days though. I have lived in a brand new build and now this beautiful old house and I can tell you, I prefer this old one by far. Such a sensible layout and so easy to heat/cool without aircon running 24/7.
I love the old times look myself. An old desk, lamps, etc. my son went to college and I turned his room into a place for me to paint, sew, etc. but he comes home a lot and during covid he was home for 10 months so he made me move a lot of my stuff out and put into a shed we have. I still do t have a place of my own at this time. I sew in the living room and have fabric and notions all over the room.
The makeover is beautiful! I especially like the 1950’s lamp. The “before” picture of the sunroom looked like the laundry room of my childhood home. There was a dresser for baby clothes, (which I had forgotten about until I saw your video), that was kept in the laundry room.
Beautiful renovation! *.* I love your renovation videos! So much excitement in them and your passion for the 50s and finding the right details and accessories is awesome!
I was born in the early sixties so our home as well as my relatives homes had remnants of the fifties and forties. You did a great job. When I was born we had a pink kitchen with white curtains with cherries on the trim.
I genuinely almost shrieked with joy when I saw that you have vintage Ellis Peters’ Brother Cadfael mysteries on your shelves! I LOVE her mysteries! I have all of them! I love the adaptations from the 90s featuring Sir Derek Jacobi, too. This is incredible.... the before & after are stunning. I am in awe of your makeover skills! That lamp is breathtaking. The buttercream yellow is my *favorite* and is perfect for a sunroom! I love that homes in Australia frequently have sunrooms ✨💗
You are so resourceful and excellent at sourcing amazing vintage pieces. Your room renovation was absolutely lovely! I would love to see your methods for thrifting antiques, you have a knack for finding genuine quality.
What a lovely transformation. It's hard work updating an old home yet still making it vintage. My home is from 1906. I too had paneling in some spots and painted over it. The nice think about paneling is it holds nails or hanging hooks quick firmly. Chest of drawers is great for storage as it keeps the items dust free. Lot of work you did there and ended up with a functional yet cozy space. 💋
I have used a changing screen to hide the pipes. adding a vintage screen gave more color to the corner, and made the chair color pop as well. it was a peice my grandmother owned in her own sewing room, and I love it.
Hello lady! …Wow! Your living room looks better than before! Beautiful yellow walls with bright! You are a talented designer home stylish fashionable and unique with your furniture and pictures! 😉👍🏻💐
I love how you marry the 50s style with your own personal touch, making it real and not too kitschy. Well done I’m glad you were able to curate your happy place. ❤
I can so relate to the table being so heavy. I'm the exact way when we have to move anything. I'm so not strong 😆 !!! My fav touch in the room was a very tiny detail--your crocheted doily pin cushion in the tea cup. I'm going to make one because it looks so much more user friendly then the little red tomato I'm currently using! And cuter!!!
Sage your renovation of your sunroom is gorgeous. I am also studying nursing although I am a mature age student and am only in my first semester. I am loving it too! I would love a video on your sewing patterns and fabric. I'd love to see what patterns you sew and love. I also sew my own clothes as well as knitting and I have also just recently started cross stitching
Hi Darling! I always smile when I hear you call us that 😊 About this video… take your right hand, place it over your left shoulder and give yourself a hearty Pat on your back!! Well done! That was hard work and I also love how it turned out. I was grinning at the floor lamp. I grew up in the 50’s (I’m 72 years young) and my Mother decorated our home in the “early American” style with some antiques. She had a floor lamp just Ike yours, complete with the scallop-like lamp shade (just slightly different design). I love your style and enjoy all of your videos. I have rambled enough. This is Sage ( my maiden name) in Zephyrhills, FL, USA! Thank you for the hours of enjoyment. 🥰
That yellow is the color my whole house was painted when I bought it. We call it “the dinge” and we are banishing it one swipe of the roller ay a time. Love your turquoise sewing machine, though!
Beautiful job. Just an idea incase you redecorate another room with panel walls, if you get the cheap wall spackle that you use to fill in nail holes, use it to fill in the lines on panel. It will give you a flat wall and prime those black lines. It’s cheap and gives you a normal looking wall without having to remove old panels.
If you want, you can still add DAP Patch-N-Paint 8 oz. White Premium-Grade Lightweight Spackling Paste to give a flat wall but unfortunately you would have to paint it.
Hello darling! I recently found your channel and am obsessed! I have been binge-watching. I always wished I could go back in time and live in the years prior to the 60s. Thank you for bringing them to life!
You and James crack me up girl. Your relationship is just so pleasing and adorable I love it! And love how you use pop of colors for everything and all old fashioned. Kudos to you guys for doing the renovation it looks so great I hope you know how much you work so hard, Sage! Have a blessed week! 💜💜💜
Had a similar problem with a built in shelved closet in the dining and no pantrys in a small galley kitchen. Luckily, like you, I thrifted some great bargains in a microwave cart and small cabinet for the space where I did have room in the back end of the kitchen and that does the job. Great job and love the overall theme of just simply vintage but with your own things here and there. Looks fantastic!!!
It looks lovely !! The creamy yellow paint if so fresh and bright! One suggestion, to possibly paint white all the brick, pipes, metal hardware for the shelves and shelves also. It would help the pipes ,etc. blend in.
Sage ! you are a treasure to the world to live a harmonious life! A tip about your fabric storage chest from my Gran Mayme ..so for the sticky drawers run a dry bar of soap over the top inside of the drawers to have them slide open easier. We do this with our MCM 50’s and 60’s furniture ! I look forward to all your posts !
Just lovely. How great to have already had that rug! I enjoy your eclectic style. It looks both fresh, but also like it was always like that. You are just adorable. 💛
Beautiful! I thank you for sharing yourself with the world. You remind me so much of my beautiful daughter Rita. She passed away in July of 2020. She was bubbly and pure just like you. Born at home on June 06/14/1983. When I watch your videos they bring me so much joy. Thank you for all your hard work.
So pretty the sunroom! You are simply amazing , full of talent & great positive energy you have. Thankyou for creating such lovely videos. Very entertaining! You are absolutely beautiful & always admire your style & red lippie ❤🌷💄🥿👗👜
Hi Sage, I’m from WA and now live in Tassie and I just love all your videos. We’ve just bought a little 1910 weatherboard cottage and it has a sunroom that needs some TLC. I was looking for inspiration and had a thought to see if you had done a sunroom makeover, and what do you know! So this was absolutely perfect, I adore the yellow walls they make the room just so bright and peaceful. I shop on marketplace for vintage furniture too, and I had to laugh at the Getz fitting the drawers in, because we do this exact same thing with ours! I swear, these cars are magical. They can fit so. many.things! Every time I show up to someone’s house to pick something up from marketplace, they always say that I’ll never fit the item in the car. I surprise them every time 😄 I’ve also managed to stack six pallets on the roof and tie them down with tiedown straps which was a hilarious trip home, only about ten minutes away but so worth it. Have you discovered the back seat trick yet? You can actually lift the back seats totally up, after folding the backs down, and use the plastic hooks there to hold them in place to the front headrests. When I discovered this, I was floored. Lift the pull handle behind the back seats from the back of the car. Anyway, I also love your chooks in the backyard, and I am absolutely surprised that we have the same chook house, in the same colours! Would you believe?? I’ve had my chook house for about ten years now, so when I saw the video that has yours in the same colours I was like .. wait… wow! 😂 I love it! Even the extra bit of white on the window to make it a full window 😄 I just love your style and flair that you put into your home, it makes my heart sing! I can’t stand black, and grey, I think those are boring colours for homes. The newer houses are just so lacking in character, so seeing someone else with similar tastes to me and making their home their own with beautiful furniture and colours etc is just wonderful and I wish you every happiness and joy with your home and family 💜
I’ve watched your remodel video of this room and the one with your kitchen several times now with pure enjoyment! You are truly a DIY inspiration! I enjoy seeing which decisions you make and the progression of your work to your final end product. Great job and great videos! Hello from Wisconsin in the states! 👏👏👏
Sage, you have decorated and painted the sunroom magnificentally. You are a wonderful interior designer. The comfy chair truly looks nice and comfy. God bless you and your husband. ❤️
Lovely! You’ve inspired me to do a room that I have wanted to do for years. So thank you so much. I love your videos and I will say that you are the cutest person in the world.
I just had to comment. I was watching this just now and my 7 yo son came over and said, “Hey! I know her! She’s the workout girl!” He’s seen me do your vintage workouts a few times 👍👏😄
Its delightfully vintage looking Sage, you have such great taste.........and a man with good lifting muscles! I love your lamp, your desk, and your chest of drawers. Those lovely airy looking curtains and rug finish it off nicely. I even love the chair you are sitting in. A beautiful makeover and you must have been so exhausted! 🐾🥰
Sage ..... such a lovely transformation! I'm quite impressed, you and James work hard to Elevate your cosy home. I was thinking that a wing back chair might really go nicely with your sweet desk- it's so lovely. And they're so comfy.. ... you can even nap in one, by adding a small ottoman to put your feet up on. 🙂😊 . Of course, there's always little tweaks here and there that we do over time, to " have it feel finished ", so it's good that you know that, and aren't feeling rushed to " have it all done '. Really lovely .... Cheers and Blessings from here to there!
Sage... The grand reveal oddly made me tear up...😢 It's just so beautiful and the photo of your gma above your desk is just heartwarming!!! I just love what you did!!!! ♥️
Very pretty indeed! That lamp is amazing! I honestly didn't think all of your fabrics were going to fit! It always feels like an accomplishment to even just declutter. Another great makeover. Good Luck on your studies and I can't wait for the next vlog!
I loved absolutely everything about this Sage!! You are getting better and better at what you do. I actually teared up a little when I saw the picture of your grandmother over your desk-- I have a vintage fold out desk, too, and I keep pictures of my grandparents above it because they always encouraged my studies. It was such a reminder to keep working hard when I was studying for my law exams. The chest worked perfectly for your fabric and the lamp was a great find. Transformation from stress-inducing catch all room to lovely multi purpose space.
Sage, I am beyond impressed with your energy, imaginative interior decorating skills and your tenacity in completing your projects. You have created a peaceful nest where you can relax, study or sew. Kudos to you and James for this beautiful room. Take care and have a pleasant and rewarding week.
Thank you so much! 😊
Soooooooo true!!!
you make the process of cosmetic renovation look so worthwhile, fun, and ACCESSIBLE, and it reminds me that how our space looks can really affect how it makes us feel.
I agree, the lamp is beyond gorgeous. But then I love vintage lamps, period... The finished room is inspiring. Great job!!!
What a beautiful room to sit and relax and be at peace
Whoa. Talk about labor of love. Taking the time to love your home is good for the soul and your mental health. Beautiful job! I hope studying and working on your sewing crafts is much more enjoyable now. :)
Oh Sage it's lovely, you should be so proud of all your hard work.
Aw thank you! ☺️
That lamp is spectacular! What a find.
Me after watching this video: *immediately looks on Facebook marketplace for a new vintage lamp.*
The room looks great!
Haha! 😂
Thanks so much 💕
Thank you for your lovely video love you keep well 😍👏
I love that you included grandma's photo, I can see the ladies are just as pretty as you are dear.
The room is gorgeous. The best part of doing up a room is the “just finished and done” stage. Worst part - maintaining it 😂😂😂
I’m obsessed and I’m only 19 I started watching you at 18 last year pls pls upload more so I can know more about this type of lifestyle well it’s more then just a lifestyle but still I Love your videos pls upload more

I love watching your channel. It reminds me of my sweet, very stylish grandma’s house. It’s all so homey, sweet and dear. Thank you so much! ❤️
Wow!!! The Sun Room came out beautiful 💯💯 Looks very comfy and serene,, the yellow really brightens up the room and gives it such a nice atmosphere ❤
Hello lady! …Wow! Your living room looks better than before! Beautiful yellow walls with bright! You are a talented designer home stylish fashionable and unique with your furniture and pictures! 😉👍🏻💐
I love that you say "chest of drawers"! In the US that's what we say in the South, I didn't realize it was common in other countries 😊
I always grew up thinking it was "Chester Drawers" 😂
They call in that in the north east as well. I'm from the north east but live in the south east. 🙂
We also say chest of drawers in the UK! 😁
we just call it a chest or a clothes chest in cincinnati, but if someone said chest of drawers i wouldn't bat an eye. ;)
Sage, you did it again, and that lamp is to die for!
xoxo's Sandie
Oh my goodness, that lamp! So beautiful!

Beyond proud of this women🥺❤️
You did a glorious job on that room, it looks just beautiful now. Very homey and gracious and welcoming.
Thank you so much! 💕
That turned out so nice!
Beautiful 💐❤️🇨🇦.
I do think I would pair blue (curtains, maybe painted tiles?) with the yellow - "sunshine and sky".
That lamp is incredible!!!!!
Sage your renovation of your sunroom is gorgeous. I am also studying nursing although I am a mature age student and am only in my first semester. I am loving it too! I would love a video on your sewing patterns and fabric. I'd love to see what patterns you sew and love. Great work! You look soooo pretty in the pinafore dress!
I’m holding out hope that you will find a beautiful green velvet vintage chair for that corner!
Thanks so much Stephanie! Xx 💕
@@SageLilleyman you’re so welcome, Sage! 💜💜💜
What a vision of loveliness, Excellent job.
All your hard work really paid off as it’s a lovely sunroom.Great job.
Enjoy your channel and all of your enthusiasm and ideas. Good luck with your studies.
That was quite a makeover’ thanks for sharing
I love it Sage! And honestly your bloopers at the end of your videos 😂 That table removal tho haha to funny!
It looks lovely !! The creamy yellow paint if so fresh and bright! One suggestion, to possibly paint white all the brick, pipes, metal hardware for the shelves and shelves also. It would help the pipes ,etc. blend in.
lovely room & lovely pic of grandma.
Sage ! you are a treasure to the world to live a harmonious life!

Hi Sage, I’m from WA and now live in Tassie and I just love all your videos. We’ve just bought a little 1910 weatherboard cottage and it has a sunroom that needs some TLC.
PS your dresses in this were also gorgeous xoxo
The room is positively lovely. Great job!
