- Hello Darlings, this vintage room makeover has been a long time coming! I really enjoyed doing this project as it was very simple and I had lots of fun being creative! The Laundry room now looks beautiful and is very clean and practical! I hope you enjoy the video and I'll see you all next time!

Just an idea. You can write "Soap" and whatever is in the second canisters in the same color as the lint box.
Also they make long thin brushes that you should use inside where the lint trap doesn't catch it. Just remove the lint trap basket and use the long thin brush inside the slot under the lint trap.
A lot of fires start in a dryer because of all the lint still stuck inside the machine. You should do it at least twice a year.
BTW the room looks wonderful. My bathroom was painted here in my apartment. It used to be Ikea blue. After living here 15 years I asked my landlady if it could be painted butter yellow. I LOVE the color. But then I asked her (since she is an artist) if she wouldn't mind painting some vines in a couple places in the bathroom. We decided on wild grapevines because we have them growing outside. It turned out incredible. After 15 years of blue it is so pretty. It's been about 2 months ago she did all this, and I still smile every day I see it.

Yes, so much lent gets caught in dryers. Twice a year my husband takes ours apart and cleans it all out, as well as the lent trap that goes to outside. We live in a very humid climate, so the lent will gum up in there. I remember the first time we realized that the whole thing needed to be cleaned out because our clothes wouldn’t get dry🙈 ever since then we do it twice a year, and haven’t had that problem since.
@@magnolia31611You can take your dryer apart to clean it of lint?? I've been having that exact problem. Lint cleaner brush, cleaning the exhaust pipe behind it, doesn't help. I have to babysit my dryer because it'll randomly stop. Will attempt to look that up. Thank you!!

I redid my cabinets and the dark blue I chose in the can was perfect but on the cabinets it was washed out and lighter. I’ll have to live with color until I can upgrade again. Glad you were able to find the perfect blue

Love your finished room :-) We learned the importance of moving the dryer (cleaning up the dust) a few times per year and cleaning the hose from the dryer to the outside vent when our neighbor's dryer caught fire. Thank goodness, it was noticed fairly quickly with far less damage. Again, lovely job on the makeover!

Amazing how much difference a new coat of paint can make to a room I'm just imaging a little flower box on that window sill or a vase of flowers good work!

Reminds me of going to visit my grandmother's house, which had been built as a four-square in 1910, and added onto to have enclosed front and back porches, and a bathroom & kitchen, in 1953.
All the round tin canisters, and labeled bins, and the pretty light colors in her kitchen.
And I feel your pain with all the dust collecting behind the machines.
You've done a lovely job making a dingy, dark space open, light, and inviting.

If you are still getting cold coming through the window, spray the window glass with water then press bubblewrap over the glass. The sprayed water will help it to adhere, and the air bubbles of the bubblewrap will help insulate your window. You could just pull the curtains over it to hide it.

You have done an excellent job! I went to the thrift store today in America and bought a pair of men’s wool trousers with a cuff. I have a pair of black and white Oxfords. With a short purple sweater and pearl trimmed button up blouse, I think it will make an adorable 40s outfit. It reminded me of you when I bought the trousers and came home to see that you had posted this wonderful video. It was a good day!
I am so sorry paint cost was so high. I use furniture chalk paint for my cabinets at $35 USD for the same size. Your transformations are perfect!🎉
