As a Dutchie seeing this: "Going Dutch" is a great thing and USA people would really benefit from it while dating. Here’s a story, I once met a girl out in the wild while at work. I worked at a coffee shop and she was a customer. Beautiful, cute face, nice voice and had a great style. I said eff it and took my shot. She liked it I guess and showed up 2 more times to see me and I finally asked her on a date. She told me she wanted to go somewhere nice, I said cool. I knew a nice Italian place in Greenwich village, we met up around 34th street as it was a nice day, we could walk down. On the way there she passed by a wig store and asked me to buy her a $300 wig. I said what? She insisted and said if I didn’t then they’ll be no date. Needless to say I left her on the sidewalk right then and there as she called me a broke ninja and everything. This year should be my soft guy year I think lol. 🎉
I cant pay 50% of the bills if im only working part time and spending the rest of the time cleaning the house, doing the errands and preparing food, etc. If im pulling the rest of the weight taking care of the home, i cant actually afford half the bills. Maybe 30% of the bills. I would just want my man to be comfortable and happy when he gets home.

I don't think anyone is saying women need to pay 50% of the bills. You ARE contributing 50% of the effort. You tend to the home, cooking, and other needs that must be done. You also work part time and probably contribute that money as well. That's straight. If you just worked part time, and didn't do anything else and then demanded more from him, then it would be an issue, which is the situation a lot of men find themselves in.

Plenty of women in reality have ran circles around certain men who don't know the game and some women post on social media and brag about playing men and getting away with it. The "soft guy era" on the other hand is still only satirical and I don't think there's a significant number of men who are enacting it in reality outside of social media yet.
Im literally not dating anyone until i work. I am a woman right now who is not working, i will get a job soon. During my almost 2 years of being unemployed, i decided to stop dating and focusing on myself. I was depressed because when i was working i was living a reckless life.
