Coleman is smarter than all those women combined.
What like it’s hard or something? Lol
That's not giving the guy much credit. 😂
Exponentially
The black women in the view have clearly, struggled their entire lives, they're still struggling and my 25k a year white male butt needs to send these women soon money. I'm so sorry whoopee etc. That you've had to suffer so much, at my hands.😂😂
But he's not friends with MLK's daughter so it doesn't count 😂
Sunny is so condescending and obnoxious, kudos to Coleman for staying so articulate and cool!
When she came at him and said "People think you have been coopted by the Right", he should have responded "That's a common error in thinking", and then schooled her.
She’s basically calling him a word that I won’t use. A common tactic of the left whenever a black person disagrees at all with the race cult
More than that, she's an embarrassment to herself and our people honestly. A literal walking stereotype.
I think anyone can do better than these birds.
Yes she is very obnoxious...
I love his CALMNESS, and how he REFUSES to let them rattle his chain!! COOL, KNOWLEDGEABLE BROTHER!!!👏👏👏
Coleman Hughes is a Puerto Rican saying who the media filmed him in his tightly whities on the train spinning on poles. If you take him serious your a clown too
Too bad he's all style and no substance. Wrong and calm ain't really cool.
He's a moron but in the land of the blind, one eyed man is king.
@@xman9190 How is he wrong? Are you against helping people based on economic disadvantage? Or are you just against helping economically disadvantaged people who are white?
@xman9190 no answer is also an answer
He is so calm and collected. The way he was able to articulate his argument in a gentle manner is so impressive. It makes me want to read his book!
"I know his daughter" is not the solid argument that Sunny thought it was. I know the daughter of a Physics Professor, it doesn't mean that I'm good at Physics.
I was hoping to find this comment. Not only that, but even *being* the daughter of someone doesn't *actually* give one the authority to speak *for* them.
The "I have a Black friend" argument of...well, "I have a Black friend" arguments 🤣
If I must say so myself that comment sunny made has the heavy energy of "my best friends black" or "my grandchild is black" lol
I laughed when she said that. 😂
I laughed when she said that. 😂
"I know his daughter Bernice!" What a 🤡🤡🤡!
YEAH, well, I know his daughter, so, nah! Nah! Nah! Yep, a clown 🤡
Exactly, what is the point in knowing her 😂😂😂😂
Sunny has her in chains just like her ancestors
That might’ve been relevant if MLK taught Bernice his entire philosophy before he died or something but she was 5 years old when he was killed so I’m gonna go with he probly didnt
Ya well I understand what I read 😂 & " right before he got shot he changed his mind " , he just didn't write it down for a speech or anything .
“I also know his daughter” didn’t get the reaction she was looking for. 😅😅😅
It was so irrelevant to say. What she should've done was continue to read the book.
@@lakeishadean4298 Good point.
That show could be doing amazing things for our country instead they decide to be reactionary and not do any homework whatsoever.
The amount of patience on display from this man is incredible. You gotta have thick skin and high intellect to be able to maintain that level of cool in the face of such disrespect on national television
You also have to keep your emotions in check and respond with facts, that is why he’s so good.
Imagine how fast liberals would cancel MLK Jr if he was alive today
👀
I couldn’t agree more
Times have certainly changed.
His death brought a lot of change in the world, and some clearly don't understand a lot of what he was truly for. So, I think the world would probably be much mo4e different.
You have no idea what you’re talking about. MLK is the center of liberal thought
I really love it when rich black people speaking to an audience on TV, tell us how disadvantaged they are.

I'll be honest, as a liberal white woman, who feels "politically homeless" at this point, I nearly cried listening to this man. What he said was so true. I was just banned from volunteering with an organization that I loved, because a BIPOC, they/them person called me a "racist." I have asked for evidence of what I did that was so offensive and have yet to get an answer. It's been very stressful and definitely not transparent.
Listen to Amala's story how she "Woke Up" - because the Lib Org she was in, racist. Watching it live here in Atlanta with Fanni Willis. Hyprocrites!
Come on in, the water is fine. I have come to believe that being called a racist in this day and age is a compliment. It means that they have no valid counterpoints and the only thing they have left is to pull that out to try and shut you down.
I had a huge debate/borderline argument with a liberal friend of mine yesterday. In the end, we came around to find that we both just want the government to leave us alone, stop stealing our money, and stop telling us how to think, how we are allowed to speak, and how to and raise our children. In the end, we all just really want to keep our hard earned money and be free to think or say what we want.
Even if you don't agree with every stance on the right I think it's important to never get to comfortable with a political label. I think it's a remarkable thing that your willing to listen to people from the other side of the political isle.
You won't get an answer. As someone who was a liberal Democrat, I am now a Republican. I fail to use conservative because I am not conservative in every sense of the word. Unfortunately, you can try to be as aware and sympathetic as possible and genuinely be a good person but the second you do something wrong, there is absolutely no grace. I can tell that this situation really resonates with you and I am sorry you're hurting. Im sure there is another organization out there that would love to have you ❤
@wandadawnmiller1552
Ma'am, as a black man I don't mean to laugh at your plight, but I found the absurdity hilarious. You were accused of being racist merely for existing. And by a black person of all people? Well that don't surprise me one bit, because there are two types of black people:"People like me who work for what we want, and our counter-parts who complain about everything because they were programmed to do so."
Ma'am, I'm depressed and homeless, but am striving to get out of the boarding home I'm staying at so I can get on with my life. So when I see or hear about the kind of people who cost you a volunteering gig, I can't help but shake my head or laugh at the absurdity. Because people you don't deserve to face this b.s.
Morgan Freeman said it the best
"the only way to help stop racism is to stop talking about it"
He was and still is correct.
Absolutely, they bring so much attention to it as if they want racism around. 🤦♂️
He's so wise..love Morgan Freeman!

But cloudy is to dumb to know when she loses . Why would you even mention MLK.JR. daughter as part of why your right 🤣🤣🤣

I’m GenX, and I like to also think of us as the ‘Sesame Street’ generation. We were taught to be colorblind, that race doesn’t matter, that we are all human. What happened? I miss the 80s and 90s!
True. We were becoming united as a people.
They want to guilt trip Whites so that Whites turn over their assets to them.
I don't understand. We grown up learning that "we shouldn't judge people based on labels". And here we are, with people everywhere telling us to judge people by their characteristics.
Same here. Terrifying, isn't it?
Same. We were the lucky ones.
I'm whoopi's age, we leaned boatloads about black history in middle and high school. Sorry she is false
You have to remember Whoopi was born 100yrs ago 😂😂😂😂
I have often found that those with strong ideological beliefs have a tendency to lie when they think there is a greater truth or things don't add up in their heads. I think that's where many ideological people on the left in America and elsewhere are, particularly with regards race and gender. What they don't account for is people such as yourself calling out their "inconsistencies". Btw the right, like any other group, can be as bad but they don't hold cultural power at the moment.
Me too!
I graduated in 2012 and all my history classes covered Black history not only thoroughly but objectively. Not only is CRT a sociopolitical theory (not objective history), it’s racist because it attributes prejudice (and thus moral inferiority) to an entire race
I’m only 40 and live in rural Wisconsin and got plenty of black history in school as is my 10 year old son……it’s just so crazy that leftists pretend schools don’t teach about slavery, civil rights, etc 😂😂😂
You are such an intelligent and articulate young woman. Just wanted to send you a high five. Keep shining. ❤
That young man was remarkable.refused to be dragged into the usual crooked arguments of those who live in ideology. He remains calm and respectful in a rather heroic manner. Qudos.
“If I’m being honest with you” is a phrase reserved for those who frequently are not being honest with you.
Or about to virtue signal with a statement that is clearly either subjective, or objectively incorrect as you say. Great point.
I KNOOOOWWWW! I wish he would have said; "here comes a lie", out loud instead of just thinking it!!!
When I say, "to be honest" it is preceding something that people don't want to hear. "To be honest, I don't think affirmative action actually works, because..."
@@kelsijodryer6348 choosing to open your statement with “I’m not lying” which is the same thing as saying I’m being honest with you” leaves one wondering if everything that person has said up until now, when they just chose to declare they are being honest, has been a lie. “I know you don’t want to hear this” would be the way to open, if you’re telling the truth.

You must have Coleman on your podcast, not because of this episode, but because I've always thought it would become "must-watch" viewing to see a dynamic exchange of ideas by two brilliant people.
I did notice the crowd clap. But if you listen, the louder claps came for Coleman Hughes and what he had to say. And Sunny Hostin is SOOOOOOO agitating with her wanna be gotcha moments, passive aggressive attitude and personal attacks. She really is a terrible person.
Yes, Sunny Hostin is a terrible person, and she hides behind "I am a Christian, I am Catholic ". I do not watch THE VIEW anymore, only parts on UA-cam when people are calling them out for their racism, ignorance and stupidity.
I’d also guess that while there may have been legitimate claps for Sunny’s statement… there was probably an “Applause” Sign flashing in front of the audience telling them to clap for her.
The applause for Coleman seemed genuine because there’s no way a liberal show would tell the audience to clap for his statements.
She read it twice because she didn't understand it😅😅 and she still can't.
She need to read it again
By "read" she meant she looked at the pictures.

Indeed. Amala knows what's up.
As a kid, I played with white kids who were way worse off than my family was. Disparity is disparity, regardless of race. Coleman is making a lot of sense. It's sad because I worked with a white woman who was a single mom and her dad was giving her a hard time because she had signed up for welfare. It stressed her out, hearing her dad's point of view when it came to welfare and struggling to feed her children. She would cry in the break room about it. If you need help, you need help.
@ashleyvaughn5213 you are right about this. I had very similar experience with someone who needed help but her well off parents didn't want her seeking help. But refused to help her too. She was belittled for even getting medicaid.

I don't know what part of the US you live in, but the people in our small town in the rolling hills of North Carolina are very diverse in race and socioeconomic status. We have some of the poorest people in the country in our Appalachian mountains and our rolling hills (begins at the mountains of Mississippi and goes to the mountains of New York). A lot of people in this region don't have running water or bathrooms in their dilapidated and roach filled homes and most of them are uneducated and white. Please take a trip to the Appalachian mountains (especially in Kentucky, West Virginia, Tennessee, North Carolina, Alabama, and Mississippi)
where unemployment averages 15.7% and the average household income is less than $20,000 a year. Compared that to the next highest unemployment rate of 5.3% in Nevada, and you get a great disparity of over 9%. The average poverty rate in the Appalachians is 14.7%, with West Virginia being the highest at 22.2% and the next highest is Mississippi at 19.7%. The graduation rate in the Appalachians ranges from the lowest 58.2% to 86.4% with the lowest being in West Virginia. So before you start criticizing people's grammar and their facts, do some fact checking yourself, and I do mean go check it out yourself instead of googling it.

Sunni Hostin is obsessed with race. She will never, ever change. I was born, raised and still live in Appalachia. More specifically, West Virginia. West Virginia has a predominantly white population yet is always counted as one of the poorest states, with only Mississippi below us at last place on the poverty scale. Extremely wealthy Sunni Hostin never considers Appalachia, which has always been the poorest region in the nation for many decades. Are our white children not entitled to the same assistance as children of color? I have no argument that black and Hispanic children who live in impoverished neighborhoods in the inner cities need assistance, but why do Sunni Hostin and Whoopi Goldberg discount poor white people? I think Coleman is brilliant and though he is a Democrat and I'm sure I would disagree with some of his views, he is spot on regarding the race issue. Coleman is brilliant and handed Sunni Hostin her a** in a calm, concise and beautiful way! I want to read this young man's book!
You said that VERY well. They only think of themselves yet TRY to bring their opinions across as caring and as if their opinion encompasses the opinions of EVERYONE. Such a sad group.....with their biases.
I'm from the rolling hills of Appalachia in North Carolina and we had a lot of diversity in socioeconomic status, unemployment, and education. I've seen families so poor that they didn't have running water or bathrooms in their homes, and a lot of times they wouldn't have anything to eat. Most were too proud to ask for government assistance. I worked 2 jobs and my husband worked 3 jobs for several years to provide for our children and we both have college degrees. I worked on food drives, soup kitchens, and clothing drives for the poverty stricken families and we still donate money, food, and clothes because that's what Christians do. I know where you come from and I know what it's like to be broke, to lose everything you've worked so hard for because of factory closures and businesses going bankrupt. We have to stay united and strong for our communities regardless of what race or ethnicity we are.🥰🙏 I hate the view and what it stands for.😡

This isn't exactly the Establishment, it's just the View and the ladies there are probably day-drunk lmao

Coleman's patience is amazing - "The View" being the home of "structural idiocy" on a grand scale.
This was delightful to watch. Thank you Amala for the REASONABLE content.
I enjoyed listening to your synopsis. I usually don’t with these types of podcasts. Thank you
Americans with working brains all feel like Coleman.
That insinuation that he was paid (by Trump?) to write the book made me laugh. Yeah, like those bitter old hens aren't paid to push a sociopolitical narrative. Seriously...
Great content. We need more young people that prefer peace instead of war. Great job 👏
I love him so much! He’s the most eloquent man I’ve ever seen. What a philosopher. He’d make Socrates proud! ☺️
Bernice was 5 when her father died and has been known to lie in regards to her family over and over again.
She used to be more conservative than her family on faith related issues in ways
I do not know about you, but I remember everything that happened around me when I was five years old... said by no one ever.
@@SGxShadowhell I'm 38 and lucky if I can remember what happened last week!

@@Tijuanabill I meant Bernice was opposed to same-sex marriage for most of her life.
Why aren't they commenting on Asians or Eastern Indians in the US and how they, by and large, outperform everyone else is school and income?
I thought the same thing. Why is it always black vs white? Why don’t they look at the economic disparity between blacks and Asians, and see that there’s also a disparity between whites and Asians?
Because that would destroy the racial narrative. It only works if the make white people appear to make the most money. If they use a minority that does better, then you have to find another reason instead of race. Which of course its choices
Even Nigerians do very well for themselves, but they get grouped in and oversaturated by the very broad "black" label.
Amala, I agree with your closing statement. Good analysis.
I saw this already, and I fucking love this guy...anyone with that level of honesty and critical thinking...just awesome.
