2 things
Glad you took our advice and camped there your first night
Thanks for not name dropping the location
Glad you made it in.
Hey there! Holy cow. I always wonder if anyone I see out in the mountains might find my video. Thanks for the camping spot tip. It was a perfect place to camp thqt night. The weather was a bit more than i had packed for. I'm already planning a trip back next summer... with a packraft this time for sure. I almost never say my location in my videos. I know I hate it when my spots get announced on the internet. Nice to meet you and thanks for watching!
Your mom and your babies thank you for making smart decisions. Always good to live to tell the tale.
Snowy wildflowers shots were worth it on their own! Very peaceful!
Yeah but they were hardcore wildflowers 😆
@@CascadeBackcountry damn straight they were
Crazy weather for June.. wow. Thanks for the video
Hopefully next adventure is a little warmer 😆
Yikes! Crazy adventure. That was a long hike, hopefully next one will be sunny. Thanks for bringing us along.
Next one will be sunny and loaded with trout!!! 😁 Thanks for watching!
Dude! This was an excellent video! Keep up the good work, trout won't catch themselves!
Thanks! More crazy backcountry adventures to come 😁
I was going to be 12.5 miles southeast of these lakes this weekend, but forecast for temps in the 30s and rain/snow showers made me chicken out. I feel like I got to experience it without having to do it! Seems like the lakes have thawed on schedule, but the weather is still hit and miss. Bring on July and the bugs.
I believe I know exactly where you're talking about! And I'll be there July s7th 28th and 29th 😁 Had I known the weather was gonna be THIS gnarly I woulda brought a bigger pack with the appropriate gear. I'm already planning my trip back into there for next summer though haha Thanks for watchin!
I never comment on anything but I had to say thank you. was able to find you just before going to the eastern sierras and picked up on alot of tips tricks and gear. Me and my two friends caught over 20+ fish in some back countru lakes !
Well hot damn!!! Glad I could be of assistance. Sounds like you guys had an awesome backcountry fishing trip in a beautiful area! Thanks for watching AND for commenting 😁😁
Ya i understand the embracing technology thing. Last month i dropped my flip phone provider, due to horrible customer service. When im in the woods i just want the basics. Make a phone call, or make/recieve txts. Now i have a phone that does everything that i dont want it to do when im in the woods. Its an ombieance killer. Glad you kepted your head about yourself thru all that weather. We older subscribers have seen you go thru some tuff weather for video content. Now that you have a family to think bout, your making better decisions. I commend you on that. Tke care nd be safe. Will see you on the next one.
I am generally not into screen time in the backcountry but I must say... for rainy days and long times spent in the tent, it was pretty nice to just watch a movie. And books are heavy haha Good to know when to call it sometimes. On this adventure I had been cold and wet for 3 straight days. It was time to go home. I'll be back there next summer. There's some whopper trout in there! Thanks for watching. Got a mule deer scouting / trout fishing trip coming up next week. Should be a great video!
Great stuff man keep it up
Thanks! More adventures to come 😀
definitely been a weird summer up here, should warm up soon! Appreciate the videos brother! keep them coming
Yeah I think we're turning the corner into summer now! Got another crazy backcountry trout fishing adventure planned next week 😁
can you make a video on how to change the hooks on the rooster tail
please and thank you
I covered it a little bit in this video here: ua-cam.com/video/3RsibyJZqUc/v-deo.html
Lemme know if it helps!
@@CascadeBackcountry ahhhh the split ring. I missed that part. I watched that video. Got the hooks and the rooster tails. Went up to a lake and was like how am I supposed to get these together 😂😂
Basketball
No way!!!!!!! You must've watch some of my old videos. I almost mentioned the "basketball" thing in the video but I was thinking nobody will know what I'm talking about haha!
great content, thats a bag drive! Who makes that case for the inreach mini?
Thanks @okannagan.outdoors! I'm actually to the Okanogan outdoors in a second for some more backcountry action 😆🤣 That case is made by Exo Mtn Gear. Great company. Thanks for watchin!
Any idea what kind of trout you lost on that first lake? I love native trout!
I'm guessing rainbow or cutthroat. I'll be back next summer to find out!!
What was your pack weight looking like on the start of this trip?
I got a ways to go to clear that many miles in a day
I didn't weigh my pack on this trip but I'm guessing with all that food it was close to 40 pounds. Keep on trekkin and you'll get there!
You don’t do anything easy do you 😅
It would seem I enjoy my own pain and suffering 😆
Do you know how to get to Bell's Canyon?
Is that by Walla Walla?
Holy scifi nerd. jk me too
Heck yeah! 100% haha
