Nothing beats a good pair of boots. I've commented that good footwear is more important than your knife. Can't do much if you can't walk. Thanks for the video
Very honest review. Itts a good 2 season boot. I find that having multiple styles of boots the best option. As we all know one boot to rule them all is a fantasy.
@@CascadeBackcountry ya i agree. Great boot, love the ankle support and wide stance bottom. Just hate the price. Thpugh ttheir that expensive for a reason. Well worth the price if your going to get the true use out of them and not just a daily walker.
Thanks. I've actually never heard about the company so good learn about them. Would like to have 2 things mentioned in the review: Price and where they are made. Of the boots I have gone through, the only ones that were durable and lasted were either made in the USA or Italy. Other ones started to fall apart after a season or 2 of use. For the past 14 years I have mainly been using Scarpa - first Zanskar GTX which lasted a decade and still look great, and now the Kinesis Pro GTX which so far has been a fantastic boot.
These Crispis are about $350 and are made I Italy. I have also had some boots thqt fell apart quickly... Danner haha Scarpa is a great brand. Any boots made in Italy are usually pretty great! 😁
I went down that rabbit hole with a pair of Kenetrek’s. Great boots but too heavy and clunky for hunting and backpacking here in PNW. Nothing better for a rocky bad a&@ sheep hunt though! I noticed my buddy wearing the Oboz leather mid B’s backpacking and he raved about them. Bought some and haven’t looked back. If your feet like them, they are a killer boot for $200. I believe the first video of yours I watched you had a pair? Curious about what you think. A little valuable nugget of info on sizing that most people seem to overlook is go a half size up of your longest foot. If I had money to burn,I would seriously consider the Crispy Lapponia’s. They seem to hit that sweet spot like my Oboz! CHEERS CB!!
I did have those boots! Whilst I thought they were comfortable, they had rounded outsoles which didn't give me enough traction on slippery side hill missions. Any hiking shoe I ever get I make sure to buy a half or whole size larger. After long days hiking, your feet tend to swell a bit, toes flay out and walking downhill... really helps to have the extra length! I tried the Llaponias but did not enjoy them as much as the Altitude GTX. Which are only 3 oz heavier but offer more... in my opinion if course haha Everyone should get whatever boot fits their needs! Thanks for watching 😃
I bought these boots and was very disappointed. I could feel the lug tread on the side of my feet in steep rocky terrain. They recommend adding an expensive insole like superfeet or sheepfeet, but why should I spend a bunch more money to make my $375 boot comfortable??? Don't be fooled by the influencers who are sponsored. Do your research and read reviews. Not to say other crispi boots are not good. This is just my experience with these specific boots.
I've owned these boots for years and have never once felt any "lug tread" on the side of my foot. Did you watch the video? I literally complained about the lack of insole!! After several years and multiple backcountry trips, I love these boots. Just because you personally didn't like them doesn't mean there's anything wrong with the boots. It just means this particular product doesn't work for you. Lastly... I am not sponsored by anyone. Nobody has ever paid me or given me a product for free. Everything I say in my videos is my own opinion about gear I bought with my own damn money.
@CascadeBackcountry hey man, this WAS NOT an attack on you or your review. I have watched many of your reviews and respect them. And the comment about influencers wasn't meant for you either. It was a comment about big account influencers. And I did mention to do your own research and that I wasn't saying crispi boots weren't good. And I DID mention that it was based on my experience. No need to get defensive, I only shared my experience with them. Jumping to conclusions is probably not the best practice. I'm sorry if you thought I was talking about you, but I was not.
@@CascadeBackcountry it was a general comment about my experience with the boots. It's interesting that you got so hurt about my view of the product???
Dude, your review videos are just as entertaining as your adventure video! 🙃😮
Thanks!!!

I agree! If can't even walk, a knife won't do ya much good 😁
Merrick Moabs are pretty good. The rubber lined up the bottom ones.

True! For anything into October, I'd go with a more burly, insulated boot. This is a really great, all-around mountain boot though

Good to know
I bought you something and will put it in your locker
This is very cryptic. I don't know whether to be excited or concerned...
