I owned a 1964 300-series 4-door sedan in Azure Aqua with the 230 six-cylinder engine. It was the first new car that was truly mine...and it drove me through my college years (until my first wife convinced me to get rid of it in 1975 after we got married). I still wish I had that car today...

Hello Dave, yes I have seen 2-door 64 Chevelle Wagons. I still have my Mother's 65 Malibu 283 mist blue 4-door wagon that she would use to pick me up from school in. I drive when I need to but it is always parked in the garage. Thank you for the rundown.

The 64 and 65 both were good looking cars at the time.

Hi Char, outstanding video! Outstanding car! The 1964 GM A-Body was the first full perimeter body on frame of any car that I know of. GM B-Body full-size perimeter frame did not come along until 1965. The Ford Motor Company did not have a full perimeter frame until 1965, (full-size only) Up until about 1965, all full-size cars where X-Frame. Chrysler went with a "unlit build body" on all cars. The full perimeter frame meant, smoother, quieter, stiffer ride and higher trailer towing capacity. No car today has a full perimeter body on frame. They don't make am that anymore! Please reply. Dave...

I'm hoping to build a 1/25 scale 64 Chevelle model kit someday... I've already done a 65 El Camino as well as a 66,67,69 and 70 Chevelles...

If modern cars were that equivalent price, I would be tempted to buy one. No wonder people would change cars every few years. What can you buy with 25 thousand dollars today?

Nice video. Wasting time translating prices then and now! Failed to mention 250HP 300HP 327 availability later in model year.
