I hate drum brakes. Pain the ass to work on. I changed my 68 Camaro to four-wheel disc brakes before there were kits available. Had to use a Corvette adjustable brake proportioning valve to make it work.
Tuff little Chevelle Kyle Got the retro muscle with some great upgrades A nice throaty sound Super clean work Like that you did a bunch of the work yourself
Love it. And I love how the owner has put in the work. It's so rewarding to smash that gas pedal down on a engine you built with your own two hands and feel and hear that machine sing. Well done. Tasteful build .
Nicely done, perfect sound perfect amount of power. I love a classic muscle car that you can actually drive and get high in the rpm’s every now and then without feeling like your headed to outer space
Was expecting another LS motor car but pleasantly suprised at a guy who built his own procharged stroker...awsome car. Not a hug fan of that style grill but the rest is awsome !! Sounds like he has a lean tip in going on. Need to tune that carb
Love everything about the car! Love the fact that he did most of the work himself as well. The one thing that got me though was the fact that he wears his sunglasses inside.....
SICK AF I LOVE IT CHEVELLES ARE MY FAVORITE BY FAR! BUT THAT OTHER BLUE ONE WITH 850HP WITH THE 632 cubic inch is just perfect for me love em with big blocks 💪🏽😍😍😍😍💪🏽
Love these stories... For sure badass car, love that Kyle taught himself so much and did just about everything himself. Great stance and that color!, also nice blue eyes 😜
I know I’m probably in the minority but whenever I see a title for a Chevelle without the year listed I always hope it’s a ‘66-67. I just personally prefer that body style over the ‘68-72.
Upholstery is stellar and that one-off color caught my eye. How did those front wheels articulate when backing out @4:11 ? That was wonking. This car is sick. Love the build and history.
I respect the heck out of this build. Following the same template with my 72 Nova. Wish I could get Shawn to come to Chicago so I can get on Autotopia, LoL
Sooner or later we’ll add in travel shoots. Right now it’s tough due to budget traveling with the crew plus I have to run my business…but we will add in travel at some point
Very nice Chevelle, except for the wheel choice. I like the look of the wheels, just think they're too big. Don't like anything over 18" on the older rides and a little more sidewall on the tires. I'm old school.
MAN we gotta get you guys up here to the Northern California side, i’ve got one friend with a 70 mustang that looks like a bucket of crap but it will pull on super street bikes!
Biggest mistake I made on our BelAir was buying a ProCharger, they had no idea how to make one fit my application. After I paid to redesign,re-manufacture and install parts they ‘ProCharger” re-wrote their manual.
I tip my hat to the owner for 1 holding onto the car since he was young and 2 doing a heap of the work himself. Fantastic
I love how at 1:05 he said he put disc brakes knowing that Shawn would appreciate that after the incident with the Merc Comet.
And notice the use of full harnesses! I've been doing the same since seeing that terrible face plant in the dash. That had to hurt!
I'm pretty sure the Comet guy had disc brakes too.
@@Packer1290 yes he did, also a sticking throttle that over stressed the brakes to the point of failure.
I hate drum brakes. Pain the ass to work on. I changed my 68 Camaro to four-wheel disc brakes before there were kits available. Had to use a Corvette adjustable brake proportioning valve to make it work.
No doubt about that, for sure!
Chevelle’s have always been my favorite muscle car. Badass car for sure!
Tuff little Chevelle Kyle
Got the retro muscle with some great upgrades
A nice throaty sound
Super clean work
Like that you did a bunch of the work yourself
Beautiful car. Doesn’t come across as “violent fast”.
Thanks to you both.
Kyle deserves heaps of compliments.
He sure does. Did a great job on this
@@AutotopiaLA One thing is for sure. You have interviewed some wonderful people and ridden in m a n y amazing cars.
Truly there is so much to love about this car.............he did a fine job on this......
Love that car. Huge fan of the 68. This one didn't disappoint 👏
Love the stance on this, and the colour, the wheels, the interior, the lights...the sound!
Beauty.
Yeah, very cool build!
What a nice, simple looking=CLEAN! Chevelle. That is a restomod I'd love to have.
Love it. And I love how the owner has put in the work. It's so rewarding to smash that gas pedal down on a engine you built with your own two hands and feel and hear that machine sing. Well done. Tasteful build .
He did such a great job on this build
68 Chevelle's are my favorite as well as 66. This is so very cool. Love the pro charger
Simply a beautiful car brings back a ton of memories for me. I would definitely love to have one.
Gs 455 buick!!!!! That's the one I want!
But this chevy is nice!!!!
Wow?! A lot of what he has done is what I am in the process of doing. Love the stance and rake.
Awesome!
I've seen hundreds of Chevelles at car shows. My favorite usually leans towards a 65 or 66. But........ this one is absolutely gorgeous!
Great Chevelle. I love the fact that it wasn't overdone.
Same for me. Just enough done but didn’t lose the original car
Solid car. The interior seats front and back caught my attention. Done really well...
Yeah, he did a great job with this one
Super clean and yeah, that stance with the OG tilt is perfectly done!
I love the stance on this!
1:07
"I Put Disc Brakes On It" 🤣😂
I'm Sure We Will Never See Anybody Not Wearing Their Seatbelt Harness Improperly Ever Again..
Nicely done, perfect sound perfect amount of power. I love a classic muscle car that you can actually drive and get high in the rpm’s every now and then without feeling like your headed to outer space
I’m with you. Perfect power range for driving and having fun
Was expecting another LS motor car but pleasantly suprised at a guy who built his own procharged stroker...awsome car. Not a hug fan of that style grill but the rest is awsome !! Sounds like he has a lean tip in going on. Need to tune that carb
This guy takes care of his stuff. I like that. He knows what it will do.
Daaayuuuummmm thats badass! I like the old skool look and sound and the New tech and new modern elements to it, Very Well and Tastely done!!!
Love everything about the car! Love the fact that he did most of the work himself as well. The one thing that got me though was the fact that he wears his sunglasses inside.....
Great to see a Labor of Love Restomod over time. Plenty of original ideas. 💡 Make it your own as the money 💰 shows up. Fast ⏩
I like the headlights the car looks great the rims are spot on with the color. I know he saved alot of money doing most of the work
SICK AF I LOVE IT CHEVELLES ARE MY FAVORITE BY FAR! BUT THAT OTHER BLUE ONE WITH 850HP WITH THE 632 cubic inch is just perfect for me love em with big blocks 💪🏽😍😍😍😍💪🏽
Both very cool Chevelle’s
Super cool and sharp looking 68 Chevelle
Yeah…clean cool Chevelle for sure
Looks like a pewter blue I had on my 98 eagle talon. Love the color.
Awesome color. Beautiful car inside n out plus under the hood. Wheels are ok. Ditch the headlights👍
You guys always surprise..I swear the shows just keep getting better..thanks so much ..hope to make it to Cali someday to see the shop
Come on out!
@@AutotopiaLA I’m actually very interested in buying this car. Can you connect me?
Here comes that sound again and again.... Superb idle and revving
Well done ride for sure
Love these stories... For sure badass car, love that Kyle taught himself so much and did just about everything himself. Great stance and that color!, also nice blue eyes 😜
20 years, that's real hotrodding, build part and live with it then repeat. Well done
I know I’m probably in the minority but whenever I see a title for a Chevelle without the year listed I always hope it’s a ‘66-67. I just personally prefer that body style over the ‘68-72.
gee thx
Same. 66 is my favorite year.
66 the best
I heard that. It's the same for BOP.
Love the 66 best chevelle ni my opinion
Beautiful build thankyou Sean and Dean, only zonk rear needs to sit a bit lower
My favorite style of Chevelle. Luv the part when he just idles out of the garage. Can’t beat it.
Upholstery is stellar and that one-off color caught my eye. How did those front wheels articulate when backing out @4:11 ? That was wonking. This car is sick. Love the build and history.
I think the CPP kit is a "true turn" kit that has sharper turning radius. Pretty awsome
@@Handlehandlebars, yeah, not familiar with that but sounds kickass and must perform well. Thanks.
Love it! Wish I had my 68 back. Great ride
I respect the heck out of this build. Following the same template with my 72 Nova. Wish I could get Shawn to come to Chicago so I can get on Autotopia, LoL

@@AutotopiaLA I look forward to it. One of my bucket list Items is to get my bucket of bolts on your channel, LoL
Very kool, he needs a 572 for his next upgrade.
sweet interior for sure that came out awsome someone was paying attention
He did a great job on this one
Very nice Chevelle, except for the wheel choice. I like the look of the wheels, just think they're too big. Don't like anything over 18" on the older rides and a little more sidewall on the tires. I'm old school.
Completely agree. I like your style sir
That Chevy is nice and clean in and out very nice and the wheels simple but nice 👍383 with a pro charger 🔥
Love it. Especially going to a tech school just so he could build his own engine. Much respect. 🍻
Such a great build and a great story with it
those headlights......say so much.......
It screams goofy
so nice ... '68-'69 are my Fav year Chevelle ...
They are cool for sure
Well done dude !!!
No question! He nailed it with this
Best year of chevelle imo 💪
This is absolutely music to my ears in sound and stops me in my tracks with such beauty. ❤️
I like this guy I have a 68 chevelle first car since I was 15 still have it
Another classic Shawn.
Thanks. Such a cool car and story
That color is sick
Other than raising the front end 1.5 inches , I love it.
Nice all around clean build!
Definitely
Sweet build. Awesome stance. Job well done💯🇺🇸🦾🔥
Beautiful car! Love it!!
Me too!!
Great build. One of my faves...
Im with u, the long history of ownership is what makes for a cool story! Great build.
I'm not normally a fan of the modern headlights on a 60'-70's muscle car, but those work for me.
that car is set up just right. Not so crazy you cant drive it. Nice job bub!
I agree. Drivable beautiful Chevelle
Beautiful build minus the halo headlights. Those are more fitting to the low riders of East LA. They cheapen the quality of the build
Agreed they look cheap
Man that's beautiful, what a beast!!!!
Nice!!!!!!
Sweet Chevelle! This is a real world car that most of us could build. Mad props to dude for doing it himself! 👍
I’m with you on this!
I love UA-cam !!!!! Greetings to all ! God bless You , Amen !
Nice Chevelle! My 95 Camaro Z28 had that same hesitation. When I changed spark plugs that problem went away.
Burnout was soft but everything else…. Damn. Amazingly beautiful. All around
One day I will have a whole garage compound full of these beautiful American classics.
great job..... I hate big lo profile rubber on vintage rides...love the dash
I think he nailed it with this one
Finally a carburetor car, not a LS, thank you !!
Very cool for sure
another nice episode - keep it going !
true craftsman, great build!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Agreed…love what he did and that he did most of it himself
I remember your labor of love with Lu.
Dude, fantastic 👏 build, what a stance, it's beefy, and she stands proud, thanks 😊 👍 again Shawn for another super video
This is it, I LOOOOOOOOVE this car.
Me too!!
Luv luv This Video
Awesome! Sure was a fun shoot
MAN we gotta get you guys up here to the Northern California side, i’ve got one friend with a 70 mustang that looks like a bucket of crap but it will pull on super street bikes!
I want to add in travel shoots at some point but budget and having to run my business limits us
@@AutotopiaLA Totally understand brother I’m gonna DM you of my buddies car so you guys could drive
Perfect mod and look. Not overdone. Like we used to do. My mother and neighbors hated my 71 also. Lol.🔥🔥🔥♥️♥️👍😎🤑🤑
OH YEAH BABY SWEET SWEET RIDE
the blue lights really make it pop
Those are a love hate item. I don’t mind em but some people hate those
Every build on this channel is amazing man. Someday I’ll get a beauty like one of these 💯💯
Sheeshh for sure a dream first car build 🔥🔥🙏🏼
Such a cool story. love the car!
Same for me Ian. He did such a great job on it!
Nice car, not much for the carb, injection is the only way to go But there is something magical about the chatter of a Procharger.
I’d go efi too but he loves it and it’s his car
Looks sweet. Excellent job 👏
What a freaking beauty
Chevelle. Think about it.
I love it man
7:12 after gunning it 25% throttle... _"Dude, are these manual brakes?"_ At least you weren't on a canyon curve. Lol.
I was wondering if they're manual too.? Didn't notice a booster.
Beautiful ride 🤙🏽
Cool car! About those seats. Must be w/o covers and custom done? Look like TMI seats more than Scat?
He said they’re Scat seats recovered
Looks awesome brother!👏👏❤
Love the 69 Chevelle ...I would love a 1965 Buick Riviera with the same "treatment"
That car is beautiful 😍
Love it, keep it simple good old stroker motor 🔥
Once again, great job brother and bad ass car ✌
Thanks and I agree…he did a great job on this
Super Awesome ride 😎👍
“Next week I put disc brakes on, I Kn0W yoULL AppRiCIAte ThAt” ….. low blow and a half lmaoooo
