Yes you could! We had a neighbor order one that way because he felt it would pull his camper better with less wear on the drive train with the 4 speed!
Yep these were the days you could walk into a chevy dealer and order the options u wanted on a camaro/chevelle/full size Impala/Chevy 2 & so on to your hearts desire!
It's actually a 1964. The side moldings were moved lower for '65, whereas the '64s (the first year for the Chevelle) had the molding along the middle of the body.
I have a 64 Chevelle SS. When I was 18 I had he 64 El Camino. I eouldnlije to complete the line either a nice 64 Chevelle Malibu wagon. I too like wagons. I own an 84 Olds Custom Cruiser, restored and my daily driver is a Buick Regal TourX. Look this one up! It hauls ass in comfort and luxury. My wife has a GMC Terrain, I bang my head everytime I get in and it's not easy on gas. I also owned a 06 HHR LT. A great little hot rod. SUVs suck.
I do think your comment is funny....but, I think the guy is like 25 not 35...back in the day...people looked older, smoking, drinking, coffee, wearing suits to work......people that were 50 then look like people that are 70 today....20's something then look like our 40 year olds now......millennial today dress like children......And he Woman, She could be like 22 in this....because young women then dressed like 40 year old women too......different times for sure
lol, what's the hair line going to tell me, his...er...you know.....not his age, people go bald in their teens sometimes....look under his eye....no wrinkles...not even smile lines. the guys 27, no more than that....
I'm gonna go with between 28 and 30 - and here's why... take a look at his face in the rear-view mirror scenes and pause the video .. study his face all over for a minute or so, he's pretty smooth in the face, like Osborn said.. not the face of a guy over 30... but, we may never know for sure.
Great cars but engines could start overheating in as little as 4 years due to mineral deposit clogging of the radiators caused by service shops using tap water instead of distilled water when changing the antifreeze coolant.
My father had a Coronet Station wagon and it overheated when you used the air conditioner for an extended period of time on extremely hot days. So he rarely ever used the air conditioner.
A very handsome and stylish wagon for 1964.
Is beautiful commercial for 1964
If he marries that woman when she takes all his money and divorces him he'll have 86 cubic feet of space to live in.
Well, he won't need it for what little she (& the courts) leave him. HA HA!
That's assuming he actually gets to keep the car.
Yes Indeed
I had a 64' 4 door loved it.
Thanks, as always, for posting this. Apparently you could get one with a 300HP 327 V8 and Four on the Floor.

There was a 350 hp option too. Little known.
People had class back then. Oh its a 1964 chevy. Taillights are half white and red for 1964. Solid red for 1965.
I'd take a wagon over an SUV any day.
Same here!
These are the grandfather to theSUV/Crossover craze happening now!!
They are way better than the lame SUVs and crossovers we have today.
You can see the George Washington Bridge in the background.

Maybe there is a reason he is a bachelor at age 35?

Look at his hairline

Yep, that was the part of the commercial where I came to the conclusion that the guy is young....after I watched a few times......
If he'd only checked the list for a two door wagon, her ovaries would have ripened earlier...

Why Did They Call It The Bachelor Wagon?
because, that's how they wanted to market it. Who knows, they did internal surveys and polling I bet.
a midsize car bigger than todays full size , sad
1965?? Excuse me ?
why are we excusing you? did you fart when you were typing your comment?
