Imagine being asked to write a song for a movie named "Live and Let Die." McCartney really stepped up on this song. If I'm not wrong it was nominated for an Oscar for best song in 1973

I think it's my favourite Bond theme! But I think you should make a series out of the rest as there's so many artists who you have enjoyed who have done them! Madonna, Duran Duran, Adele, Garbage, Louis Armstrong, Tina Turner included. And you should check out Shirley Bassey she's sung 3 different Bond themes!

Best. Bond. Theme. Ever. It just captures all the excitement and glamor and even a bit of heavy/darkness of Bond and his milieu, without the tired old lounge songs that the franchise had been using. This took them in a whole new direction that made the themes after much more modern.
Oh, and if you pay attention, it has a lot of the same structural elements of "A Day in the Life," the swirling crescendo after the first chrous, especially hearkens back to Day in the Life.

Sir Paul McCartney stays true to himself by constantly changing it up. Just when we think we’ve got his music figured out he doesn’t let us get too comfortable. He is an intellectually genius master of his craft. If you ever get the chance to see him in concert by all means go!

I went to a Paul McCarthy show at Fenway Park in Boston a few years ago. When they performed this song it was so cool to see fireworks launched from atop the Green Monster and all around Fenway park illuminating the skyscrapers in downtown Boston during the "action" parts of the song.

(Only 1 on weekends while still in high school). I'm actually traveling to Germany in a couple of months to see my FAVE band of all time: Deep Purple. I'd take you if I could!

A soccer match that featured a chance to see the legendary Pele. Then there was a week of Billy Graham "crusades" which my mother dragged me to every single night. Then there was the Wings concert. Lost amongst the throng on the floor of the Kingdome was where I was that night. Best sounding rock show that building ever hosted. Led Zeppelin in July 1977 was the next best. In both cases I think they were trying to record the shows for later release. "Rockshow" was the theatrical release, billed as the Seattle show, the final cut only features 5-6 songs from the Seattle show. There's a mix of the NYC shows and the L.A. Forum shows.
