Theme from the James Bond Motion Picture Soundtrack "Live And Let Die" by Paul McCartney & Wings. Peaked at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart in the USA!😮😊 It was the first Bond film starring Roger Moore as 007.
I was in High school when the movie came out and thought Paul McCartney's was the best James Bond theme ever.! I won tickets for Wings Across America Tour at the Cow Palace in San Francisco. Saw Paul and Linda again at the Dolphins Stadium In Miami in the late 80's Alway a Great Show.!!!
This is a super famous song, so it wouldn't be surprising if it was referenced in many places. And as others have mentioned, this is the theme to the Bond movie of the same name, which had several locations including a bit in the Caribbean. There's a lot of hits by McCartney: "Band on the Run," "Maybe I'm Amazed," "Jet," "Uncle Albert / Admiral Halsey," "Silly Love Songs," "Listen to What the Man Said," "With a Little Luck," etc.
It sounds like a movie because it is. It is from the 007 movie "Live And Let Die" Starring Roger Moore. Some of it takes place on a Caribbean island, the Florida Everglades, New Orleans and Haarlem NYC.
Speaking of people or a person trying to get out of a situation, which you just said, another massive hit by Paul McCartney and Wings not long after the Beatles broke up, in the early seventies this song dominated the airwaves and the album is considered to be iconic: Band on the Run.
I was lucky enough to see him sing this Live outdoors twice in Berkeley Ca two nights in a row . We had front and center seats thanks to Bill Graham personally changing them for me due to our original seats having a blocked view of the screens and stage due to technical equip in the way. I found him in the crowd prior to the show . Flagged him down and showed him. He moved us forward and center and very closed to the stage. Just meeting BG in itself prior to his tragic passing was incredible in itself. Not to mention the incredible seats we had for this song and show. He was on a stage turning with his piano during this song with screens behind him flashing images as he sang and played piano . With lights and lasers flashing to the music. An image and moment I will never ever forget . This was about 35 yrs ago ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
It's become even more of a spectacle live in the last 20 years. Got the chance to sit front row at a Paul McCartney show in 2012. The pyro was so intense during this song, it went home smelling of gunpowder. :)
If it turns out that this James Bond movie title by Paul McCartney is sampled for the iconic horror movie Saw, I'm going to lose my shit, laugh. That would be so cool.
If you want to do a couple more James Bond 007 movie theme songs, I highly recommend "Goldfinger" and "Diamonds are Forever," both performed by the legendary Dame Shirley Bassey.
Yes this song had to be extra, because it is from the James Bond movie, "Live And Let Die". Only the best landed the main song, on a James Bond movie soundtrack! So you had orchestra arrangements, to help convey the excitement befitting a James Bond movie, from the very opening of the film! God Bless!

Upon release, "Live and Let Die" was the most successful Bond theme up to that point, reaching No. 1 on two of the three major US charts (though it only reached No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100) and No. 9 on the UK Singles Chart.[3][4] The song also received positive reviews from music critics and continues to be praised as one of McCartney's best songs. It became the first Bond theme song to be nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Song, but ultimately lost the award to Barbra Streisand's "The Way We Were".

This song illustrates the creative compositional powers of Paul - He has some great solo hits. "Nineteen Hundred And Eighty Five" is a banger as well.

Love that one too
When the movie was made, the boat jump scene was longest boat jump ever made. Guinness Book of Records type longest.
It's a fact I had to move my tv set away from the wall!

It's Bond, James Bond.
The opening sequence to the bond film "live and let die" was very cool.

Love this song! The dramatics of the song are for a movie…”007: Live & Let Die”…hence the name of the song…it is the theme song to the film.

❣LOVE Paul McCartney & Wings! Please react to Mull of Kintyre -Thanks!

Live And Let Die, was I think 1973, and was set in New Orleans and Jamaica.

From a James Bond movie also, Nancy Sinatra does a really awesome song with the same movie title...You Only Live Twice.
Lulu also does a song from James Bond movie...Man With A Golden Gun.
That's Sir Paul McCartney to you mister...........The Queen of England doesn't Night Hood just anyone......LOL
It's Knight,not Night Hood...which isn't a verb anyway!🙄🎩
Guns N Roses did a pretty good cover. I think the oddness you're feeling is that it was written for the film.

Cool ass song you should check out Guns N’ Roses version of this. I thought they did a pretty good job.
No, honey. You're not rude. Painfully sheltered, yes. But not necessarily rude.
