Theme songs from James Bond/007 movies are almost always big hits made by well-known artists. Think Shirley Bassie/ Goldfinger, Carly Simon/The Spy who Loved me, Adele/Specter, etc. Paul McCartney, a well known hit maker, was brought on to add interest to a movie starring a new James Bond, Roger Moore. Big songs add to the box office sales for movies.
So many of Bond themes were hits, the last three were written and performed by Sam Smith, Adele, and the brother-sister team of Finneas and Billie Ellish, and all three won Grammys and Oscars for best original songs….and Dame Shirley Bassey recorded three including Goldfinger - all are classics
john had Zero soul ...zero..lol........ nasal voice, stiff on stage , dominated by his woman, yet still beat on her like the punk he was.....lol He held McCartney back.
Absolutely agree about Ringo ! I've heard people bash his playing but Ringo always played exactly what the song needed. No more no less. Never over embellished or added unnecessary fills just to show off. Then take into consideration the amount of musical styles the band covered. He played all of it perfectly. Established a great pocket with a little personal flair. Under rated indeed.
ALL James Bond theme songs were commissioned by artists of the time when each movie came out! It was an honor to be asked to write and perform a James Bond theme song. There’s been many many great artists who have contributed to the James Bond franchise over many many decades with their “Theme Song”. Definitely worth a deep dive into James Bond theme songs!! ✌🏼❤️
There are any number of reasons to love each of the Beatles' solo careers, but when you talk about both critical and commercial success, the only possible answer can be Paul.
Paul has always challenged himself. Maybe 20 or 30 years ago, he actually wrote a bonified, real live symphony and it was actually well received by the Classical Music community!
Don't know if you've ever seen ANY of the James Bond movies, but IMHO, "Live and Let Die" was the best one that starred Roger Moore (the second of six actors to play him). Of course, Sean Connery will always be the original, so if you decide to do a James Bond movie, do "Goldfinger". It's a classic.
I saw him in The Garden (when it was called that). Had nose bleed seats, but was wonderful. Played almost 3 hours. When he played "Yesterday" he showed pictures of the Beatles and everyone had tears.
As a high school freshman this was one of the songs we played in marching band for our halftime show. All the tempo and time changes made it incredibly challenging, but we nailed it and took home first in several contests. So much fun and a great song!
The opening theme song (and credit sequence p) to every James Bind movie is iconic. They have made careers and it’s the ultimate prestige to be invited to do one! I have several that I really like, but this one has to be my favorite!
@@Houston727Gal I hear you. For me though, Shirley Bassey doing _'Goldfinger'_ is the best of the James Bond themes,....aside of course from the character's personal, instrumental, theme because that it so iconic it isn't fair to think about putting it on a list.
Amazingly, when Paul's song was first presented to the 'Live and Let Die' film producer, he asked which female artist they had in mind to do the song. Paul said 'no way is anyone else doing my song'. Seems inconceivable to me that any film producer would reject having Macca sing this truly amazing film theme!
Paul absolutely had the best solo career as a musician. John obviously was taken so young so we don't know how that would of worked out. Me and my wife seen Paul in 2013 in Detroit and it was Amazing. The man played 3 hours and sounded amazing ( in his 70s). As for this song you guys Nailed it, it was composed ( by Paul ) for a movie.
The interesting thing about the James Bond movie "Live and Let Die", there are parts of this song used throughout the film's symphonic score. The collaborator on this song with Paul was Beatles producer George Martin who also scored the movie.
I saw Paul in ‘91 at the Vet in Philadelphia, Pa. It was my favorite concert of all time! It was like three hours of Beatles (for the most part), with me in the 16th row CENTER! Anyway, when he played Live and Let Die, after he sang the title like 25 cannons fired off on stage!! It was unbelievable how loud and gut WRENCHING that effect was!!
Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey will definitely intrigue you both. Paul is a genius, so so many great songs. Band on the Run is great, Silly Love Songs is just plain fun.
One of my fav McCarthy songs is Mull of Kintyre, which features his acoustic skills. The 80-yr old McCartney played a three-hour headline set at Glastonbury last month, some of it joined by Grohl and Springstien. It was watched live by over 4million online. It was phenominal. The guy is unequalled since he first played in the Quarrymen in 1957.
@@JoshToksPop85 No McCartney IS a GENIUS...Lennon isn't... Lennon is brilliant,,but both McCartney and Harrison are complete Genius .. Like Brian Wilson...
@@arthurconan1899 it isn’t, but Paul has said that all he ever wanted to do was impress John. John was his idol. Both of John’s albums were A+ projects, as Paul’s would have a single or 2, but most tracks were hit or miss
“I felt like I was sitting in a theater.” In a sense, you were. This was written as the then song to the James Bond movie of the same name (Live And Die). The Bond movies, especially the older ones, are always dramatic and action packed. This song fit the movie perfectly.
I have seen Paul do this song live many times, and the pyrotechnics are astonishing. His current band (Rusty Anderson, Brian Ray, Abe Laboriel Jr., and Wix Wickens) has been recording and performing with him for twenty years now-longer than any other band line-up that he has ever worked with. They are an amazingly cohesive group of excellent musicians.
I've seen Paul 4 times, the first time was my first concert for Wings Over America (great way to start), but he always brings the house down with this one.
Yes, a cool song that jumps all around. It so fits with the James Bond movie of the same name! And Guns and Roses (who you know!) did a hard cover of it.
Took my family to a Paul McCartney concert years ago, and we had my two young nieces with us. They were probably 12 and 10, not paying much attention just fooling around on their cell phones. Then they started playing "Live and Let Die." At his concerts when he says the "die" an explosion of pyrotechnics would go off, and at every strong note emphasis. I'll never forget their eyes went wide immediately, and from that point forward their eyes never left the concert. Circa 2005.
I saw him in April in Winston-Salem and this song was probably the high .oint of an all around excellent show for me. Both for the music and the light show. And the sound, which was amazing all night, especially considering it was in a football stadium.
I saw Paul live in concert and when he did Live and let die, it sounded like cannons fired, there were explosions and fire, pyrotechnics. It was awesome. You can’t get that same feeling from listening to a recording.
I remember being so impressed by this song when it came out. Of course I already knew who Paul McCartney was, first a Beatle and now basically the king of pop. This impressed because it sounded great AND because it sounded like it belonged in a Bond movie. It showed that McCartney had an untuitive grasp of musical genres and could move between them pretty much at will, while still putting his own unique stamp on it. If I'm not wrong then this began a trend for most later Bond films to include a pop artist influencing some of the score, but I don't think anyone else ever hit the nail on the head so precisely.
Thank you for your fun reaction! This is the theme to the James Bond movie of the same name and is, in my opinion, the most exciting movie theme ever written. Paul masterfully crafted a song that captures the essence of a James Bond movie. If you get a chance, make sure you check out a version of Paul singing this song in concert, it's a real highlight of his live show with fireworks, explosions and lasers. Your channel is great, keep up the great videos!
Funny your should react with theatrical since this was the theme for the Bond movie "live and let die" and was very likely written for the movie. Paul McCartney and Wings (or solo) I believe were the most successful of the post-Beatles bands/groupings. Perhaps not solo, but I cannot judge that. When i was growing up (Middle to Freshman), my favorite songs were "Listen to What the Man Said", "Helen Wheels", "Band on the Run" and similar.
By 14 years old Paul was playing 6 instruments very well to rip out melodies and perform. Guitar, bass, drum, piano, trumpet and sax. Of course at 16 he wrote I'll Follow The Sun, When I'm 64, Love Me Do and I've Just Seen A Face. The latter he would play on piano at family gatherings. During the Cavern Club days when the power went out Paul would entertain the crowd on piano. Paul is a modern day Bach and Beethoven with tons of melodies flowing out of him.
It feels like you are in a theater watching an action film because this is yet another song with ties to a movie you should check out on your movie reaction channel. This song was the title and theme song for the 1973 James Bond film "Live and Let Die" starring Roger Moore. There are so many Bond films with great theme songs that you may enjoy. "A View to A Kill" (1985) featured a theme song by Duran Duran, starred Roger Moore and featured Christopher Walken as well as Grace Jones. "For Your Eyes Only" (1981), also starring Roger Moore, featured a title track by Sheena Easton who might be a good candidate for "Female Friday". I'm sure your viewers could name about a dozen more that are just as good.
"You Only Live Twice" by Nancy Sinatra and "Man With the Golden Gun" by Lulu are also great songs, and then there is the all-time classic, "Goldfinger" by Shirley Bassey. If Rob Squad ever does any kind of focus on classic movie themes, these would make a banger of a Female Friday all by themselves.
You should both re do this song with the recent live version he performed at Glastonbury. 81 years old, the oldest performer to ever headline the premier worlds music festival. The performance of this song was astounding. The music with the stage show and pyrotechnics is something that will blow you away
This song live with the fireworks...EPIC and always one of the best parts of a Paul McCartney concert. If you can, a life must to see. It's a once in a lifetime experience. Paul IS the Beatles... Period. #whythisgirllovesherpaul ❤️
This is one of my favourite McCartney songs. I have seen the Bond movie (you two need to react to it, btw!), and when I saw this man in concert (best show ever!), this was the ENCORE!!! This song rocks, and is AMAZING to see live! You totally need to watch the Bond movie to get its meaning!
You hit it on the head Amber-Paul wrote this for the James Bond flick Live & Let Die. You really need to hear My Love, Band on the run, Uncle Albrert, Listen what the man said & back to his Anazing Beatles gem Here, There & Everywhere & the amazing A Day in the Life. Regarding who had the greatest solo carry it would be Paul McCartney.
This was from post-Beatles band, Wings, and was the theme song for the James Bond film of the same name. Personally, I like Paul McCartney the best and he's had the most successful post-Beatles career of the four. Of course, there's no telling what John Lennon might have created had he not been murdered.
Watching the opening credits to “Live and Let Die” with the head/skull fire…Lord, my child self was “aaaack!!” 🤣 Awesome song and awesome movie. And yes, listen to “Band on the Run” and “Silly Love Songs.” We played the latter in middle school band back in the day. 😁
Now on your Movie Channel, you'll have to review "James Bond: Live & Let Die" film this was scored for! It's a WILD film. My first time seeing it was in a hotel in 1978 in NYC when my parents took a trip, so I tuned into a channel, and the movie was on it! Unforgettable song and movie!
I'v been to many concerts, but the one that had the biggest impact was seeing Paul and his band in Berkely in 1990. The timed explosions through LIve and Let Day were awesome.
Guns N' Roses recorded a cover of 'Live and let die' in 1991, and made it a huge hit that year. This was the James Bond movie theme in 1973 for the first Roger Moore 007 movie 'Live and let die'. Paul McCartney was approached by the James Bond producers and he quickly wrote this song... he credited his (late) wife Linda McCartney for adding that reggae section of the song.
This is one of my favorite moments seeing Paul in concert! Paul sang for 3 hours with no break both times I saw him. He was 74 when I last saw him. He's 80 now and I hear he still performs a 3 hour set. If you ever get a chance, go see him before it's too late!
I love the story where a studio exec said, upon hearing the song, that they needed to cut the "What does it matter to ya?" section, because he didn't like it. To which another exec responded with something like: "Sure. You can be the one to tell a Beatle how to write a song."
I saw this performed live about 6 years ago. It was awesome and included so many fireworks that after the song you could barely see the stage. A great song.
Love all of Paul's work with the Beatles & solo with Wings. I had so many of his records. "Band On The Run" is one of the best. But so many other great songs such as "Jet", Live & Let Die", "Listen To What The Man Said", "Silly Love Songs", "Let 'Em In", "My Love", "Helen Wheels", "Let Me Roll It", "Junior's Farm", "Maybe I'm Amazed", "Venus & Mars/Rock Show", "Mull Of Kintyre", "With A Little Luck" etc.
You guys should react to more Paul McCartney, especially with Wings… "Band on the Run", "Live and Let Die", "Jet", "Silly Love Songs", "Junior's Farm", "My Love", "Goodnight Tonight" 🎸🤘
This is just one of several *James Bond* movie themes that I like. I was a baby when the movie premiered, but during my high school years, our marching band and orchestra combined to play this song during one of our concerts. 🙂
If you like this song, you must try Golden Slumber/Carry That Weight/The End by the Beatles - full of transitions and I think it’s the last song on the last album they recorded: Lennon and McCartney were the perfect team
Paul's song Band on the Run is amazing. And Pipes of Peace (although released at Christmas) has a beautiful message. Also yes, this was a BOND theme .. try Shirley Bassey singing Goldfinger next ..total bomb
I would give anything to see this being recorded at Air studios London. I walked past Air studios the other day and could even start to comprehend the importance of that building to the music and movie community.
In concert, fireworks were timed after he sang the words 🎶Live and Let Dieeee🎶 and exploded when the two deep kettle drum beats hit and kept going through the music breakdown. So it was like 🎶Live and Let Dieeee🎶....BOOM...BOOM...🎶Live and Let Dieeee🎶....BOOM...BOOM... And then the sky would open up with a crazy amount of fireworks until the next verse. My dad took me to see him in Memphis for the Off the Ground Tour back in the early 90s. That concert was amazing.
Paul McCartney did this song for 007 James Bond Movie - Live and let Die! More Paul McCartney and the Wings - Band on the Run - Listen to what the Man Said - Uncle Albert - JET - With a little Luck - Goodnight Tonight - Maybe I'm Amazed - Let em In - My Love - Silly Love Songs
Like we don't know. He was also in a band called The Beatles. Have you heard of them? They had a minor hit record, and then slipped into obscurity, never to be heard from again.
The Beatles were an amazing group, obviously, and all four members were extremely talented. For my money, Paul McCartney tops the list. McCartney's vocal range is second to none, and as others have commented he plays several instruments and is a songwriting/composing mastermind!
I love Live and Let Die. One of my favourite Bond films. You can tell this is not a typical song even if you don't know it is from the film. That said, the instrumental bits do sound very James Bond. However, back in the 1960s and 1970s, you did get a lot more experimental stuff when songs would have all sorts of different styles thrown in together. It takes a bit of getting used to but really repays repeat listening.
Funny you should mention theatre as this was the theme song for the James bond film "Live and Let die". In concert when Paul performed this song-the thunder sounds were highlighted by pyrotechnics followed by lazers during the fast instrumental parts. McCartney by far had the best career post Beatle.

@@jasonsabbath6996 Thanks for the correction -- as the politicians say, "I misspoke."
No Time to Die
So many of Bond themes were hits, the last three were written and performed by Sam Smith, Adele, and the brother-sister team of Finneas and Billie Ellish, and all three won Grammys and Oscars for best original songs….and Dame Shirley Bassey recorded three including Goldfinger - all are classics
Gladys Knight too!
John always had the soul, Paul could write a melody in his sleep, George was the most spiritual, and Ringo is vastly underrated as a drummer. ✌🏻
Ringo actually had several solo hit songs.
john had Zero soul ...zero..lol........ nasal voice, stiff on stage , dominated by his woman, yet still beat on her like the punk he was.....lol He held McCartney back.
@@LiberalsArePoop well, yes, but he had a lot of help from his friends.
Today is Ringo's birthday. He's 82. Happy Birthday Ringo!
^^^ this
Third, actually. There was George What's his face that played Bond in "On her majesty's secret service." So bad, he was booted off the franchise.
I’d say start with Doctor No and work through in order of release. And yes, no one will ever top Sean Connery.
I always loved Sean Connery( sexy🤭)
Agreed. I'm a Sean Connery guy but Live or Let Die was great and certainly one of the best Bond movies.
I saw Paul last month, at Fenway Park, in Boston.
Performed this song, accompanied by great pyrotechnics 🧨
I saw him in The Garden (when it was called that). Had nose bleed seats, but was wonderful. Played almost 3 hours. When he played "Yesterday" he showed pictures of the Beatles and everyone had tears.
My family and I saw him last month in Baltimore, Camden Yards. We saw the same wonderfully pyrotechnic version of "Live and Let Die "!
As a high school freshman this was one of the songs we played in marching band for our halftime show. All the tempo and time changes made it incredibly challenging, but we nailed it and took home first in several contests. So much fun and a great song!
Paul actually wrote a song that was named Song of the DECADE in Europe called "Mull of Kintyre." Amber would absolutely LOVE it! It's gorgeous.
This is Paul McCartney in his own band called the Wing's with his wife, Linda. They had a number of hits on their own
Another movie suggestion, "Live and Let Die" a James Bond movie. There was an entire orchestra playing on this song.
Or GOLDFINGER
Amazingly, when Paul's song was first presented to the 'Live and Let Die' film producer, he asked which female artist they had in mind to do the song. Paul said 'no way is anyone else doing my song'. Seems inconceivable to me that any film producer would reject having Macca sing this truly amazing film theme!
Live versions of this song are incredible.
And written in ONE day
John and George had better careers than Paul I'm sorry.
He had the best solo career ever! Nobody had the same career after left a band, any musician I believe...
@@Madferit91 by what criteria?😂
Paul, the man of a thousand voices.
Paul's a musical genius. He interwove a ballad, a hype orchestral mix and a reggae break all into one song. Cohesively!
George Martin was as much responsible for this song as Paul McCartney - know the history
@@scottmjohnson1980 Just two clever genius artists put together!
❤ Paul McCartney!!! This was the theme song to the James Bond movie in 1973 'Live and Let Die'
The interesting thing about the James Bond movie "Live and Let Die", there are parts of this song used throughout the film's symphonic score. The collaborator on this song with Paul was Beatles producer George Martin who also scored the movie.
I think that was the point. Mac wrote a song with lots of different moods & speeds, so that bits could be used for lots of different scenes.
SO GOOD! A moment in history! The blasts from Trombones and the violins with the lower trills. So much to do, so little time
I remember seeing him in concert in the 80’s and when this came on the stadium literally shook.
Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey will definitely intrigue you both. Paul is a genius, so so many great songs. Band on the Run is great, Silly Love Songs is just plain fun.
Amber would love the horns in Silly Love Songs :)
Yes to all of those
And add the 3rd part of that "Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey/Smile Away".
Uncle Albert is my favorite Wings Songs. Can’t agree more
One of my fav McCarthy songs is Mull of Kintyre, which features his acoustic skills. The 80-yr old McCartney played a three-hour headline set at Glastonbury last month, some of it joined by Grohl and Springstien. It was watched live by over 4million online. It was phenominal. The guy is unequalled since he first played in the Quarrymen in 1957.
McCartney is a Genius.
But he is no John Lennon, js
@@JoshToksPop85 No McCartney IS a GENIUS...Lennon isn't... Lennon is brilliant,,but both McCartney and Harrison are complete Genius .. Like Brian Wilson...
@@arthurconan1899 McCartney just lived longer. And didn’t take the time off that John did.
@@JoshToksPop85 That's a stupid argument... That's not McCartney's fault..
@@arthurconan1899 it isn’t, but Paul has said that all he ever wanted to do was impress John. John was his idol. Both of John’s albums were A+ projects, as Paul’s would have a single or 2, but most tracks were hit or miss
Masterpiece--I agree. I've loved this song ever since I was a kid.
Such a great lineup behind him, and Abe is a BEAST.
They are a phenomenal band!
"Astonishing" (pyrotechnics)?
How about if you weren't expecting it, it will scare the living Crap out of you...
I've seen Paul 4 times, the first time was my first concert for Wings Over America (great way to start), but he always brings the house down with this one.
Living Daylights Aha and Duran Duran View to a Kill..
Another great song from a James Bond movie is the title track from 1977's "The Spy Who Loved Me" with Carly Simon killing it.
You really need to see this song live to fully appreciate it. He's got mad pyrotechnics going on, and its so heavy!
Yes Paul is the Goat!!!!
Yes, a cool song that jumps all around. It so fits with the James Bond movie of the same name! And Guns and Roses (who you know!) did a hard cover of it.
Great song. The GNR version isn't as good, but it's still a great take on it and well worth a listen.
I love this version but I also love the Guns and Roses version.
Had the “Best Of Wings” cassette as one of my first tapes when I was a kid. Would be fun to see you give “Uncle Albert / Admiral Halsey” a listen.
Yeh I saw them July 4 at RFK DC 1980s forget which yes, was so cool when they did this one...
Saw Paul like 5 years ago. Big Beatles fan, never got into his solo stuff too much. That concert shocked me, so amazing, and he played over 2 hours.
@@Jaw-t3t And even as old as he is, by the end of the concert he looks fresh and like he wants to keep going while the band looks absolutely spent :P
I heard him say that he and John wrote over 300 songs together.
@@jonm1114 , Shirley Bassey also sang the Bond movie theme "Diamonds are Forever"
And Thunderball, by Tom Jones!

A View To A Kill was when the theme songs started going downhill.
You should both re do this song with the recent live version he performed at Glastonbury. 81 years old, the oldest performer to ever headline the premier worlds music festival. The performance of this song was astounding. The music with the stage show and pyrotechnics is something that will blow you away
That was spectacular 😊
I saw this performance on UA-cam, it's amazing! I can't believe his energy at his age.
I just live this song so much - especially with the full orchestra
I wish there was an extended version.
I like to think of songs like this as not just classic rock, but “classical rock”.
This song live with the fireworks...EPIC and always one of the best parts of a Paul McCartney concert. If you can, a life must to see. It's a once in a lifetime experience.
Paul IS the Beatles... Period.

Y'all should see him perform this live if you want to see something "theatrical". It also went perfectly with the Live and let die Bond film.
"Live And Let Die" is the *best* James Bond song *ever* !😃💖👍
This is one of my favourite McCartney songs. I have seen the Bond movie (you two need to react to it, btw!), and when I saw this man in concert (best show ever!), this was the ENCORE!!! This song rocks, and is AMAZING to see live! You totally need to watch the Bond movie to get its meaning!
My favorite Bond, Roger Moore and it’s my favorite Bond movie.
Paul McCarthy wrote this for a James Bond movie and won an Academy Award for it
The song was nominated but did not win. Let it Be did win the Oscar though.
Another great Paul McArtney tune is Mull Of Kyntire. Awesome song done once Paul went solo. Little heard on the radio, but fantastic tune.
Paul and Linda wrote it.
Saw him in concert early 1990's this song was one of the highlights. You really need to watch a live performance of this...AWESOME!
"Jet" and "Band on the Run" are my favorite Paul McCartney songs.
ME TOO! ❤💯
he wrote and performed a classical music piece too. paul could do anything.
I get so so moved and happy whenever I watch you two hear a new artist/group. It amazes me how much so. Thanks kiddos
This was from post-Beatles band, Wings, and was the theme song for the James Bond film of the same name.
Personally, I like Paul McCartney the best and he's had the most successful post-Beatles career of the four. Of course, there's no telling what John Lennon might have created had he not been murdered.
Watching the opening credits to “Live and Let Die” with the head/skull fire…Lord, my child self was “aaaack!!” 🤣
Awesome song and awesome movie.
If you want another chance with this, listen to the live version, where you'll really get that "BOOM"!
This won the Oscar for best song. 👍
I saw it live, Wings over America at the Fabulous Forum. 1976. ✌️
I was there, too. Remember the explosions! Great concert. I saw more recently at Dodger stadium. He was amazing.
@@stangovers7441 I'm still kicking myself for missing that show!
Paul McCartney had the most successful post Beatles career, and it is not even close.
This was great. PLEASE DO “OH! DARLING” by The Beatles for one of the best McCartney vocals. Great backing harmonies too
I love the story where a studio exec said, upon hearing the song, that they needed to cut the "What does it matter to ya?" section, because he didn't like it.
To which another exec responded with something like: "Sure. You can be the one to tell a Beatle how to write a song."
In this life, you got to know your lane!

Linda wrote that bridge. She went with her favorite reggae sound.

I saw this performed live about 6 years ago. It was awesome and included so many fireworks that after the song you could barely see the stage. A great song.
i saw him in concert and this song was amazing live speakers all over the stadium and lights going crazy amazing...

This is an absolute show-stopper live, I've seen it make a grown-man cry.
This is just one of several *James Bond* movie themes that I like.
I was a baby when the movie premiered, but during my high school years, our marching band and orchestra combined to play this song during one of our concerts.

If you like this song, you must try Golden Slumber/Carry That Weight/The End by the Beatles - full of transitions and I think it’s the last song on the last album they recorded:
Lennon and McCartney were the perfect team
Paul's song Band on the Run is amazing. And Pipes of Peace (although released at Christmas) has a beautiful message.
Also yes, this was a BOND theme .. try Shirley Bassey singing Goldfinger next ..total bomb
Pipes of Peace is one of my favorites. So underrated.
& Coming Up -(Live from Glasgow version) ⬆️⬆️🆙️🌷
If you get a chance to see Paul’s live version from his “Got Back” concert you get goosebumps!!
Even The Beatles drummer Ringo Starr had a few hits..check out "It Don`t Come Easy" & "Photograph".
Funny you should mention theatre as this was the theme song for the James bond film "Live and Let die". In concert when Paul performed this song-the thunder sounds were highlighted by pyrotechnics followed by lazers during the fast instrumental parts. McCartney by far had the best career post Beatle.
This is the theme song for the James Bond movie of the same name. I believe this song won an Oscar.
It was nominated but lost to Barbra Striesand and The Way We Were.
It lost to "The Sting"
