I love finding out about the people whose names adorn so many airports, railway and bus stations. Who were they and what did they do? So, just who was Humberto Delgado? Watch the video and you might just even win yourself a prize money can’t buy. (Actually money can buy it.)

Birmingham Airport..... should definitely be the Noddy Holder International ✈🎩🎶🎶🎶🎶
Top suggestion!
Well, for me it has to be Sumburgh Jimmy Perez Airport. We miss you Jimmy!
Great suggestion!
Montrose Steve Marsh has been suggested…
A few scenes from various Father Ted episodes were filmed in Ennistymon, Co.Clare. Ennistymon doesn’t have an airport, a port or even a railway station. It does, however, have several bus stops. So I’m going to name the bus stop for the Bus Eireann route 333 (which is just up the road from Eugenes pub where they have lots of Father Ted memorabilia) the ‘Father Ted Crilly Bus Stop’ in honour of the great man. And of course Mrs Doyle would say that whoever wins the prize should only be using the mug for one thing - tea.
That’s an excellent suggestion! “Down with sort of thing. Careful now.”
Huddersfield Compo Simmonite station.
Love it!
Hard to beat : Betjemen Slough Railway Station.. lol
That's brilliant!
It's got to be "Wakefield Westgate Jane McDonald" station. I'm sure she'd happily raise a glass to toast the occasion if it happened!
Superb!
Torquay Airport , should be 'Basil Faulty Airport' ( great for nervous flyers 😬) ok Newquay airport , but its close to Torquay
I love it!
Edinburgh Sean Connery, Glasgow Billy Connelly, Newcastle Ant and Dec, Bonny Prince Fort William, Dundee Brian Cox, London Bond, James Bond 😂, Queen Victoria Nice, Alex Fergusson Dyce, what’s it called Cumbenauld 😂, Rabbie Burns Prestwick, Ian Paisley Belfast Intl (Antrim), that will divide opinion lol, kirkwall Jonathan Porterfield Int 😂, what’s that smell Kirkcaldy Train Stn 😂 (famous for its smell,of linoleum), Montrose Steve Marsh 😂, more to follow lol. Good video Tim and Mrs Tim ❤
Excellent work!
Great video again Tim! loved that little story & love an old EasyJet flight! 😁 Though next time bring me along and i'll get the person in your seat moved! 😅
Deal!
Birmingham Jasper Carrot Street Station and Birmingham Ossy Osbourne International Airport. Also Birmingham Joe Lycett Coach Station. All Brummie Legends n should be regonised more in Birmingham's major Transport hubs. Great video n loved the history section.
Excellent suggestions and I’m glad you enjoyed the history!
@@Timstravels01 Thank you Tim!
GLAGOW Airport remained as the Big Yin
In honour of Billy Connelly
Excellent!
To be fair a fitting honour for both Jack and Bobby Charlton would be to have Newcastle Airport renamed to Newcastle Charlton Airport. On a lighter note Birmingham Jasper Carrott sounds a much brighter place than Birmingham International!
Nice Newcastle suggestion and Birmingham Jasper Carrott is getting a lot of love.
I'm all for Alan Partridge Norwich!!! That would be First Class.... Maybe renaming my favourite airport, Humberside William Wilberforce Airport, quite an honourable man.
A great video as always, sounded like a good argument at Bordeaux airport when you started speaking?
Excellent suggestions indeed. Yeah something seemed to be kicking off. Bit awkward. 😂
@@Timstravels01 I'm dead nosey 🤣
Sometimes I think are they arguing or is it just some people speak really loudly?
Before you mentioned it, I was going to say Norwich Alan Partridge International Airport! London Luton Lorraine Chase Airport. Southend Simon Harris Man Behaving Dadly International, Slough David Brent Station, Inverness Tims Travels International 🤣
Excellent suggestions. Especially the last one. 😂
Manchester Oasis Airport
With a duty free section called ‘cigarettes and alcohol’
Departures called ‘all around the world’
Family area ‘married with children’
Departures drop off ‘don’t go away’
Charging stations ‘she’s electric’
First class lounge ‘champagne supernova’
Food area ‘roll with it’
Gates ‘don’t look back in anger’
Customer service ‘stop crying your heart out’
Security queue ‘stand by me’
It’s almost as if they wrote their songs in the airport 😂😂
Thats brilliant 👏 😀
Genius! Of course the aircraft would need to be ‘Supersonic’.
